This is our second time having our dog stay with Deanne. My dog has a great time with her. She has been extremely flexible with unexpected changes in our travel plans and the pup hates to leave her home. We will continue to use her services!

Saskia was absolutely fantastic! She took such wonderful care of our two energetic dogs and our energetic cat, and we couldn't have been happier. She truly went above and beyond, staying in constant communication with us the whole time we were away and sending photos and updates that really put our minds at ease. She put an incredible amount of heart into caring for our pets—she easily gave one hundred and fifty to two hundred percent—and her response time was incredibly fast.

Nicole was so wonderful! She took the BEST care of Basil, who is an older dog with some health limitations (hard of hearing, hard of vision, etc). Nicole has a few older dogs of her own, so understood Basil's needs and was very attentive and loving with her. I would recommend to anyone looking for a loving home to board your dog!

Omg, we’re so thankful for Geena! Story time, so our previous sitter was unavailable but the app said she was available (technology lol). So we were worried because we didn’t have a backup plan and we needed a sitter for my grandma’s funeral. Geena was so helpful with last minute arrangements and made us feel so comfortable with leaving our fur babies for the day. She responded to all my messages, questions and even sent pictures. We were able to attend the funeral with no worries and even booked her again for our vacation. I would definitely recommend using her and we will continue to book with her. Thank you again 💜🫶🏾💜

I left my dog with Amanda just for one night and I couldn’t have been happier. My energetic dog, Zeus immediately got along with her dog, Enzo and they got to play in her nice fenced in yard. He was definitely able to get his energy out there, he came home exhausted. As soon as I dropped him off there I felt a sense of comfort. I knew that I had nothing to worry about. I highly recommend Amanda:)

Kaitlyn was amazing! She helped us out when we were in a pinch and needed dog sitting for a weekend with only one days notice! We had never had Lucy boarded anywhere before and we were a bit nervous about the process, but it went so smoothly! She sent pictures to reassure my kiddos she was being well taken care of! I would definitely recommend her services and will be using her again for dog sitting in the future!

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. My first job was as an Animal Care Technician with the Humane Society, and I later worked at a military veterinary clinic for more than five years. Caring for animals isn’t just a job for me, it’s something I’ve been passionate about since childhood. I’ve always had pets of my own and have rescued many animals over the years. To me, pets are family, not just animals. When your pet stays with me, my home becomes their home. I’ll follow and reinforce your training and household rules, while also making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your pet enjoys playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply relaxing, I tailor their care to their individual personality and energy level. I currently work full-time. But not too far from my job. So I can always come home to let pets out if need be. I will be available to give them all the attention in the afternoon and on the weekends with the help of my kids who just adore any animal. I have a fenced in yard with one dog and one cat to keep your pet company. I can also crate your pet if needed.

Sheronda was great! Communicated often with us, sent us lots of great photos of our dog, and did a great job socializing him with the other dogs (making him comfortable). She has a great back yard (fenced in), with lots of great areas to walk dogs. Overall we are super pleased, will be booking with them again!

Our dog was very happy with Jennifer. We are so happy to have found her. She's kind and gentle and she worked with us when we had unknowns about our needs because of a funeral we had to travel for. We were trying to book without full details of when and where we had to be. We feel very fortunate she was willing to be flexible. Our pup was happy that he was the only one she had with her during his stay. He got all of her love and attention. Thank you, Jennifer.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 380 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Stuyvesant. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

97% of Stuyvesant sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Stuyvesant landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Stuyvesant home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Stuyvesant.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Stuyvesant sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
