Saskia watched our two dogs at her home, and we had a great experience! They were both very well taken care of, and Saskia sent us several photos throughout their stay, which we really appreciated. Our dogs seemed to have a great time and got along really well with her dogs. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands while we were away. We will definitely be booking with Saskia again!

Amanda was great with our dogs. She listened carefully to each of their needs and made sure to accommodate particular requests. Amanda was prompt in getting back to us anytime we reached out and sent us occasional photos of the dogs playing or resting. She has a lovely home and large fenced-in backyard where the dogs could run free and get plenty of exercise. We felt at ease knowing our precious pups were kept safe and warm while we were away!

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals of all kinds my entire life, so caring for them has always come naturally to me. I truly love animals and treat every pet I care for as if they were my own. I’ve been pet sitting for several years and understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your furry family members. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, feeding, or just keeping them company, I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. 🐾❤️ I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility in my schedule to care for your pets. I’m available throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, feeding, playtime, or just some extra love and attention. My flexible schedule allows me to work around your pet’s normal routine and make sure they get the care and companionship they’re used to while you’re away. 🐾❤️ My home is a safe and comfortable place for your pet to relax and feel at home. I have a partially fenced-in yard where dogs can safely enjoy some fresh air, play, and stretch their legs. I also have a screened-in porch that’s perfect for lounging and enjoying the outdoors while staying safe and secure. Your pet will be treated like part of the family while they’re here! 🐾❤️

Mary & Todd are a dream come true! We were very nervous leaving our baby with someone we didn’t know, for the first time, and Mary made us feel so beyond comfortable. The photos, updates and check ins made us think Tilly may never want to come back home! Our pup went for rides, walks, runs, errands, ball chases and partook in endless fun for two straight days. I’m not sure how Mary & Todd could possibly have more energy than our dear Tilly but she’s officially exhausted and had the adventure of a lifetime. My husband joked that we should do this as a doggy camp once a month, we just may ask if they’d be down!

We are so glad we found Brigid. Our dog, Roscoe, was comfortable with her right away when we had our meet-and-greet. Brigid asked good questions and took notes. She and her house are well-suited for a little dog visitor. She has a nice, fenced-in yard. Her couch is a cozy spot for napping, snuggling and looking out the window. Brigid stayed in touch with us leading up to our trip and while we were away. It was so fun for us to hear and see pictures of how Brigid and Roscoe were spending their time. I felt that they had developed a special bond and I can't wait to book Brigid again. I think Roscoe feels the same way.

Samantha and her partner Zachary took fabulous care of our two dogs for three days. They are both high energy young dogs, one 7 months and one 13 months old and we were worried that they were going to be a problem. They love each other, romping like crazy with each other indoors and out and Samantha and Zach had no problem dealing with them. When we went to pick them up, it was obvious that both dogs really liked their caregivers. What more can one hope for in someone taking care of their dogs? We will be using them again when we are back in the Albany area. Thank you, Samantha and Zachary! Clifford and Ann Wagner

10/10 recommend Vera! She went above and beyond making sure us and our pup were well cared for. She sent us regular updates, videos, and pictures. She gave Pierce a lavender calming collar to put him at ease on the first night. She even noticed that the mat underneath our dog bowls was frayed and coming undone and sewed it up for us. I was blown away by her kindness and palpable love of animals. Don’t hesitate to book Vera. You won’t regret it.

Brooke and her family were kind and loving to Millie! She hasn’t been with anyone but us and she isn’t a very easygoing pup so we were so relieved when Millie was so relaxed and happy in Brooke’s home. Brooke kept us updated and sent many adorable photos! I would absolutely book with Brooke again and will recommend her to anyone needing care for their fur children.

This is the second time we entrust Penny to Christopher and his lovely wife, and they continue to provide wonderful care for my elderly pup, all while sending me pics and videos of her, which is always wonderful. Penny requires attentive care with meds and some ear cleaning, and Christopher did both. They are great dog sitters!

Amanda was super friendly, accommodating, and had a lot of “Husky know-how!” She was very welcoming and clearly a dog person and spoiled our Remy, which we appreciated! Enzo seemed to become fast friends with Remy, so we’re glad he had a dog play weekend. Would absolutely book again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 380 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Stuyvesant. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

97% of Stuyvesant sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Stuyvesant landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Stuyvesant home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Stuyvesant.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Stuyvesant sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
