“Larissa is SUPER responsive and our dear puppy absolutely adores hanging out with her and her pups! You can always tell he has a WONDERFUL time because he comes home worn out! We are soooo happy that we found Larissa!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Charlotte. She kept us updated with pictures and messages, which gave us great peace of mind. Zoey absolutely loved playing with her dogs and came home happily exhausted from all the fun. I would definitely book with Charlotte again.”

“We are so very happy to come across Audree! She is a wonderful person, super nice and accommodating! We left our fur baby with her for day care as a meet and greet to see how they both took to each other. During his stay Audree was very communicative, send us pictures and videos. She also was engaging- asking questions about our fur baby making sure she knew all details about Boomer. We loved that. Boomer was happy at Audree’s and came back exhausted. Thank you for taking good care of Boomer and being such a good listener! See you in July!”

“Jacob and Sarah were great! My dog did awesome with them and they took really good care of him! They are flexible and very nice people who truly love animals. I highly recommend them!!”

“Maria and her husband are wonderful! They have taken such amazing care of our pup!! She is always happy to see them. They are caring, flexible, and have great communication!”

“Tiffany was an absolute delight to book with!! From the very beginning, she was very prompt in her responses and answered any questions that I had. I am a newer dog mom, so she put me at ease due to her kindness and professionalism. She was very flexible with drop-off/pickup times, which I know can be tough for most. That was a huge plus! She also communicated throughout the day with updates and cute photos of my fur baby so I knew he was safe and well taken care of. If I could, I would give her 10/5 stars! I definitely plan to book with her again in the near future! Thanks again Tiffany!”

“Wonderful experience! My Goldendoodle, Bailey had so much fun. Hanna sent me pictures and a video and gave me updates. She has a large yard for Bailey to run and play. Reasonable fee. Thank you Hanna!”

About: I have always had a dog for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and I love them. We currently have two dogs. I have a male Golden doodle named Bo and a female Teddy Bear named Annie. I like to walk the dogs for two 30 minute walks a day. I’m a stay at home, homeschooling mom. I have a 7 year old, 10 year old, 13 year old and 16 year old at home. Everyone loves dogs. We have a routine with the dogs and they are part of the family. I don’t have a fenced in yard but I am a firm believer that dogs need to be walked. I walk my dogs for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon on a walking path behind my house. I keep jingle bells on my door and my dogs ring them to go outside to potty. I have options to separate dogs if necessary. Dogs are separated at feeding time.
“Ligia is great! You can see that she loves what she does! She is super nice! Very responsive, communicative, and truly interested in knowing your fur baby’s needs. We felt at ease leaving Boomer with her. Thank you Ligia! We will see you again!”
About: Hello hello! My name is Jocelyn, and I’m a 20-year-old dog lover that recently picked up petsitting in December! 😋🫶🏽 Until last year, I’d grown up with pets my entire life. Since my last childhood Pitbull, Roxy (one out of three total dogs) passed away last July, it’s been difficult adjusting to life without them to share it with me. My schedule feels hollow and incomplete after having spent the last four years with two senior dogs. Those four years have given me experience waking up both late and early to tend to a pet’s many needs, and stay up as long as needed to ensure their safety and wellbeing. Living in a house of dog lovers, your pet(s) will be both well-cared for and showered with love all throughout their stay. 💕 Having our late girl’s passing so recent, we still have all the living necessities available for use if need be. This includes pet beds, food/water bowls, functional kennels, poop bags, and a couple toys. We adore our dogs, and are ready to cherish yours just as much before they return back into your loving arms. Petsitting will provide peace of mind for both me and my clients. Whether you’re away for a short or extended period, rest assured your pet(s) stay with us will be easygoing, well communicated, and overall an experience to remember! 😁 I’m currently hunting for a full-time position outside of Rover. When I eventually enter the workforce, petsitting will likely become a background gig I can no longer give my full attention to. Since it’ll be my first ever job, adapting to a new schedule will cause me to become heavily split between sleep, work, and my own physical health, which would conflict with petsitting until I’d find a decent balance. More info will come when I get a job! 😄 Our family and neighborhood is strict about leashes, so despite our open deck and yard, while outside your pet will NEVER be without a leash or left unattended. Provided collar and leashes would be appreciated! We have a room designated for crates in case of emergencies, but will only use them in the unlikely circumstance that we need them. I keep in close contact with all my clients, and will send updates with photos at the start/end of everyday of boarding. Perfect excuse to take cute pictures of doggies on a frequent basis! Our lives were once surrounded by two pitbulls and a chihuahua that we showered with love daily. Expect that your pet(s) will be treated as if they were our own! ❤️
“Jeanette was awesome with Milo ! I needed a last minute sitter for him as I’m visiting from out of town and wanted to take my kids out for a bit, Jeanette replied back quicker than I had expected! She kept me updated with photos of my little guy. Whenever I’m back in town and need a sitter I’ll definitely be contacting her again :)”

“Zorra and Theodore were SOOOOOO happy with their stay with Jorge's family! We received several pictures. We appreciated how they made our dog care request work out with their busy schedule! Next time we travel to Stafford, we will definitely request Jorge's family.”

“Our high-energy rescue has been doing great with him and coming home well worn out after doggy daycare. He’s kind enough to accommodate early work hours or a change of plans. Very satisfied! We’ll be booking weekly for daycare.”

“Yeny was kind enough to do a list minute Day Care for us on our Anniversary. Easy drop off and pick up. She was walking her as we arrived to pick up and passed them..! She seemed happy and exercised. The whole family seems to participate in the care of the animals. Yeny took the time to hand feed her a bit at her first dinner away from home to get her started. She took to the time to talk about her day with our pup before we left. It seems to be a caring environment. We will definitely use her again.”

“I was so happy to find this sitter! We just adopted a rescue dog. He has a lot of anxiety. He needs special care while he is adjusting to his new home. Because of his anxiety he needs a low stimulation environment. She has been so good working with my dogs special needs! I can’t say enough good about her!! We are so grateful for the care she has given our dog!!”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Stuart Corner commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 468 sitters in Stuart Corner, 84% respond to messages in under an hour.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
