“Amanda was very adaptable to our schedule-very easy to work with and extremely helpful with the bookings--she was reliable, compassionate to our kitty who was not stressed during our absence-- she followed instructions and we ate blessed to have found such a great sitter and it has helped alleviate our anxieties about leaving our kitty with someone new”

“Paige is amazing. Not only do my two cats love her, but she went above and beyond in caring for the cats (even washing out the containers we left the wet food in). I highly recommend her services.”
“I just can’t think of enough things to say. I review her after every visit because she does such a great job. Our puppy is so high strung and energetic but, Carly has been watching her since she was 2.5 months old and is SO PATIENT with her. She helps with the consistency of training as well! She is so very trustworthy. I work from home and she is always so respectful when she comes in. I feel comfortable having her in my home ❤️ thank you for always coming to help us Carly!”

“Fourth time we’ve booked with Tate. At this point, that probably tells you everything you need to know. Tate is wonderful. She consistently goes above and beyond, is incredibly dependable, and clearly loves animals. Mae Belle adores her, and we never have to worry when we’re away. We trust Tate completely and can’t recommend her highly enough.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs/cats my entire life, from playful puppies to senior dogs with special needs. My goal is to make your pet feel as comfortable, loved, and relaxed as possible—as if you never left. I know how important peace of mind is while you’re away, and I want you to enjoy your trip without worrying about your furry family member. I’ll care for your pet with the same love and attention I give my own. As a bonus, I also enjoy tidying up, so if you’re comfortable with it, you’ll come home to a happy pet and an even cleaner house. One of the biggest benefits I offer is flexibility. I work in medical device sales, which means I’m local and make my own schedule. Because of that, I can stop by throughout the day to let your pets out, give them potty breaks, playtime, meals, medications, or simply some extra love and attention. Your pet won’t be left alone all day, and you’ll have peace of mind knowing they’re being cared for whenever they need it. I’m very aware of my surroundings and will always make sure to keep your pet and home safe while you are away. Most of them time I enjoy cuddling up on the couch and watching a good show right by your pets side

“Jennifer was simply amazing! She took care of my crazy puppy as her own, and I really couldn’t ask for anything more. She was always on time, great at communicating, and very reliable. I am booking her again - that should tell you everything!”

“Peyton is amazing and went above and beyond for us while we were away for our first family vacation!! She was on point with communication when we or she had a question regarding the dogs, plus she did cleaning outside when we didn't ask her to. With the 6 dogs she had to watch, 5 out of 6 dogs (5 are my MIL dogs) loved her, except 1 of our dogs, Misty, was very stubborn and guarded she was giving us a play by play on how she kept on barking and 24hrs later Misty warmed up and earned Peyton's respect. We would love to have her again in the near future!! :)”

About: I don’t remember a time in my life that I wasn’t taking care of animals! Whether it be while growing up or starting to dogsit/walk in high school, there was never a time a fur baby wasn’t relying on me. And I wouldn’t have it any other way! I have a flexible schedule which allows me to help out with my friends and families animals, as well as volunteer for local animal shelters. I have experience with dogs of all ages and levels of care. I know how difficult it can be to trust someone with your pet (I have used Rover myself when I go out of town) so I assure you I will provide the kind of care and attention to your pet that I would want given to my own! :) I’m currently working part time. My job offers flexible hours, so I have the opportunity to accommodate whatever schedule you and your pet require. :) I will happily go over what your pets routine is and abide by whatever you’re most comfortable with! If your dog is used to being walked at certain times, crated, etc. The well being and safety of your animal is my upmost concern so whatever you need me to do to guarantee that, is what I’ll do!

Ashlee is great! Gracie looks forward to Ashlee's visits and loves to see her. It was easy to get set up with Ashlee, and she has been very reliable in making sure that Gracie gets outside to play. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
