About: I have experience taking care of animals professionally in a boarding setting and within a vet clinic (as a technician, not a doctor). I have experience handling and caring for more ‘opinionated’ patients/animals. From dogs with stranger danger or ‘spicy’ cats. About: I took my first dog through multiple training courses in hopes of her becoming a therapy dog. While she didn’t have to temperament for it, she was excellently trained and knew many tricks to still bring a smile to people’s faces. I’ve taken those same skills and taught many other breeds how to be more confident and well mannered dogs. I wish I could do this full time, but I work a normal 9-5 job Monday-Friday. I’m able to pop home during lunch if needed and my weekends are almost entirely flexible. My dog is definitely my happiness in a fluffy form. I’m patient with her, but I also stick to the rules. It makes for a more confident doggo when they know their boundaries and what you would like them to do. I utilize positive reinforcement (play, praise, treats, etc) when they do something correct. And if they make a poor choice, I redirect their behavior and encourage the correct choice. Physical force if never used, but guidance (a poke to the top of a dog’s butt to get them to sit) is used. I value the happiness and health of my dog over whether or not she can play dead. I would respect your baby the same way and adhere to your rules.

I provide animals with the best positive experience while making them feel like they are at home! Your pets needs are important to me, if they need any special attention, care, treats, crate, medicines etc.. I will make sure to deliver. I do not have any animals currently, however I prefer a meet and greet prior to booking. My availability varies week to week, but it is something we can discuss further.
