Since Finnley is selective with humans, we met with Hugh several days before leaving Finnley. There were no issues, so that indicated that Finny approved of Hugh which is important to us. Hugh sent pictures and texts of how things were going so we were well informed. We would leave Finny with Hugh again when needed.”

I have experience with small and large dogs, hyperactive/nervous dogs, as well as senior dogs so you can be assured that I know how to handle just about any dog personality. I am very responsible, considerate and dedicated to making sure your pets are happy and healthy. I consider it an honor to be welcomed into your pet’s life and take my job very seriously. I have fairly flexible working hours as I largely can make my own schedule. I am available during the week and weekends as well as holidays. I have a fenced in yard if you would like your pet to stay with me, but I am also happy to take them for walks in addition to letting them play in the backyard. I have three dogs of my own that are all very friendly and I have ways to separate dogs from each other if need be so they don’t all have to interact at the same time.

I started volunteering at a humane society in middle school and later gained hands-on experience shadowing veterinary technicians at IndyVet. This helped me learn how to read animal body language, handle different temperaments, and provide safe, attentive care. Growing up, my family had golden retrievers, pit bulls, cats, bunnies, and hamsters, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of pets and personalities. I now have three miniature dachshunds of my own, so I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I’ll treat your furry friend with the same love, patience, and care that I give my own! I work full time throughout the week. I am typically available during the evenings on Monday - Thursday, and then all day on Friday - Saturday! Because I have three dogs of my own, I prefer to have your dogs come to my home for overnight sitting. I understand how important our furry friends are and how difficult it can be to be away from them. That’s why I like to learn as much as possible about each pet ahead of time.
