About: I've always been an animal lover, and have been taking care of neighbors' pets as well as one of my own since I was 9 years old. At 22, I have handled dogs of all sizes and ages, including 3 different breeds at the same time. I'm not afraid of a messy or quirky pet, and I enjoy discovering each animals personality and preferences. They're here for such a short time I thrive on making every moment joyful for them! I currently work as a dance teacher on weeknights which means I am available everyday until around 5pm to spend time with your pet! I typically only work for 3-4 hours a night so when boarding I still have ample time to care for your pet in the evening into the night. I live in a very walkable neighborhood with expansive yard space and a home with plenty of room for toys and beds and crates. When with your pet, I'll be attentive to their needs and be sure to observe for signs of contentment. I am an intuitive person comfortable handling skittish or reactive pets.

Makayla was absolutely wonderful—super sweet and thorough when she came to meet our cat and go over all of the instructions. While we were away, she checked in every day with thoughtful notes and the cutest photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. She even brought in some packages that were delivered, which was such a nice extra touch. It’s clear she genuinely cares, and we’ll definitely be booking her again. About: Caring for pets has been a part of my life for a long time, through both pets of our own and foster pets! We’ve been fostering for the past decade and have cared for over 30 dogs and cats. I have experience with dogs with all kinds of personalities, including shy, anxious, and reactive. My favorite thing about animals is they all have their own personalities, and I love learning about who they are! My approach is to meet pets where they’re at and let them set the pace for our interactions, especially those who need a little extra time to feel comfortable with someone new. Senior dogs have an especially big place in my heart, as we have two of our own, and I’m very comfortable with the extra patience and care older pups sometimes need. I’ve also fostered and spent time with dogs of many breeds, sizes, and personalities, including bully breeds which are always welcome! I work a hybrid schedule, and will spend most of my day with your pet. When I leave, it will generally be no longer than about 4 hours at a time, whether for work or to see my own pets and family. If I expect I’ll need to be gone longer than this at any point during the stay, I’ll let you know before booking! I will treat your home as a guest in it; I’m tidy and will clean up after me and your pets! What is helpful for me to know is what your pet’s typical day looks like, if they have any favorite or important parts to their routine, and ways they like to get stimulation (walk, play, puzzles). Where do they sleep? As much information as you can tell me about your pet is better so I can keep things as normal for them as possible!

About: I’ve had pets my whole life. Currently, I have two dogs (Great Pyrenees and pitbull) and two cats. I have experience giving medication (pill and liquid format), as well as giving insulin, and even subcutaneous IV fluids. Because my dogs are so big, you bet I’ll be able to walk your dog(s) no matter their size! I love going to dog parks or just chilling on the couch for some cuddles. I also have experience with spicier critters who just need a little time and space. No matter how big or small, how old or young, I’ll take the best care of your babies. I work from home with a flexible schedule so popping over for play/potty breaks or house sitting for you during the work week is no problem. I’m available 5pm onwards and on weekends for sitting or more extensive care. I am flexible with my availability. I am very good at following any instructions you have for your fur baby when I come to your house. Anything you need me to do I’ll do it. The best possible feeling is knowing your animals are in good, safe hands when you’re not available to take care of them yourself and I promise to deliver.

I take the time to learn each pet's routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, medications, and any special instructions provided by their owner. I understand that consistency is important, so I do my best to maintain the routines pets are used to. In my home, I provide a safe, clean, and pet-friendly environment with plenty of supervision and attention. Pets are never left unattended for extended periods, and I carefully monitor introductions between animals when applicable. I make sure pets have access to fresh water, comfortable resting areas, and appropriate enrichment throughout the day. I also have a fenced-in yard that allows for energy to be shed! When caring for pets in a client's home, I respect both the pet's routine and the owner's home. I follow all care instructions closely, provide regular updates and photos, and ensure pets receive the attention, exercise, and companionship they need while their family is away. My goal is to create a stress-free experience where pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved, and where owners feel confident knowing their pets are in good hands.
