“Conveniently located in downtown Everett. Fenced-in backyard. They are very friendly and tolerant of our spoiled pooch. They gave her her meds and put up with her late night whining.”

“Our dog came back super happy. Kelsey is also a trainer and gave some insights into our dog's behavior which I found fascinating and helpful. 10/10 and would book again! Thank you!!”

“We couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter than Avery. She took wonderful care of our Great Dane, Hazel, while we were away. She is reliable, communicative, and caring and went above and beyond to make sure Hazel was happy and comfortable. She even sent us regular updates and pictures, which put our minds at ease. We highly recommend Avery to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving pet sitter.”

“Katie was a life saver after our kennel declined to take our dog who had stitches in his mouth. Because of this we were able to keep our vacation plans. Katie was also accommodating to the special needs of our dog (no playing or toys in the mouth due to stitches). Katie and her family took wonderful care of our baby and was very easy to work with, not to mention economical. Katie took extra time to take pictures and keep us updated on our pup.”

“Cynthia did a great job watching Sparky. She took him the dog park nearby where Sparky and her dog played and had a great time. They also ran around and played a lot in her fenced backyard. She also sent a lot of videos of Sparky, which was nice.”

“Kris was so helpful! All questions I asked were answered promptly and clearly, and while Aniol my nearly two year old dog stayed at Kris's family home, he seemed to have a safe and comfortable experience! I was so grateful for updates in words and pictures! We will certainly bring Aniol to Kris's again.”

“Kelsey took wonderful care of our dog, Ruby, while we were out of town for a few days. Ruby had so much fun with Kelsey’s dogs and you could tell she instantly felt at home. Thank you so much for treating her like your own!”

“Alexis was fantastic and we can’t wait to use her again. She made us feel safe and comfortable, ensuring our pup was doing well and having a great time. Highly recommend her if you’re in the NAS Pensacola area”

“Jackson is so pampered when he gets to stay. I will continue to use KAYLA whenever we are going out of town. Already looking forward to the next 'visit' I know Jackson is ready, he loves it over at Kayla's ”

“Rene was very accommodating and attentive to Carley’‘s needs during her overnight stay. She took the time to get to know us and put us at ease by taking in everything we said about Carley’s personality, habits, and particular requirements. Rene took special care with Carley’s diet, medications and exercise. She truly dedicated her time, space and home to the comfort and welfare of our big mixed-breed dog. We will definitely use her services again.”

“Leslie is Max’s most favorite pet sitter, and because of that mine. My dog is shy of humans and often other dogs. Max settled into Leslie’s home and bonded with both Leslie and her two dogs. It was a comfort to me knowing Max was happy while I was away.”

About: While I may be new to professional pet sitting, my husband and I have been dog owners for nearly 10 years, and our kids have grown up loving and caring for animals, so having pets around is a normal part of our family life. Caring for our own dog has given us a lot of hands-on experience with special dietary needs, administering medication, daily walks, and basic grooming. We understand how important it is to trust the people caring for your pet, and we will treat every pet in our care like they’re part of our own family. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom and homeschool my 3 kids, so we’re home quite a bit! Daily walks are already part of our normal routine, and we’ll be happy to include your pup. There will also be plenty of time for play, attention, and snuggles throughout the day. The longest we typically leave the house is about 3–4 hours, and that’s no more than twice a week. We have a fenced backyard. It is on the smaller side, but there is still plenty of room for a little play and fresh air. We also have baby gates in place to keep our toddler safely in areas where we can supervise him, and those will also be used to help keep pets safely separated when needed. We want every pet in our care to feel comfortable, safe, and at home while they’re with us.
About: I have always loved and had dogs in fact I have 2 now. Over the years I have dog sat for numerous friends and co-workers, either at my home or theirs. I can handle big or small dogs. Play time for dogs is just as important as exercise, and I love playing with them, whether that means throwing a ball, tug with a rope or squeaky toys. I'm the one at the party making friends with the dogs instead of people. I know you'll find my services helpful and I cant wait to meet your pup! I work from home full time M-F 6-3 so I can visit your home on my lunch break for a quick potty break or come by before or after my work day starts. If I'm boarding your dog, you can be confident they wont be left alone for long hours since I'm home all day. I can walk your dogs, give them potty breaks, play with them. I can feed cats, play and pet them and I can clean litter boxes if needed. If staying with me, we'll be sure they'll get a long with my pets. But if they meed thier own space, I have an rv hooked up and ready to use on site that can be used for alternate boarding space.
“Jael was a great Rover find and we will definitely book her for future stays! We received regular updates and photos while we were gone. Gus got lots of attention from Jael and her family (as seen in photos). We are happy to have found a new Rover home for Gus. Thank you Jael and family!”

“Sheri is a great sitter! She watched our energetic young Lab while we were on our honeymoon. She sent us photos of our dog every day, which we loved. She kept our pup busy, walking her often and playing fetch in the backyard. We arranged a meet-and-greet with her beforehand, so our dog could meet her dog, and that helped put our minds at ease. Sheri asked many questions during the meet-and-greet, and we could tell that she cared a lot. We recommend Sheri highly, and we would definitely use her as a sitter again.”

“One of the BEST sitters we have ever had! Velzy loved her weekend stay and we could tell she felt safe and right at home. Michelle and her family understand animals and they have such a big heart for them. Communication was excellent and we loved getting all the sweet pics and videos. We feel so thankful to have met Michelle and her family and will definitely have Velzy stay with them anytime we are in town to visit. Thank you again!”

“Nicole & Cody go above and beyond! Our pup is always excited to see them and has a blast while in their care. They're super responsive and regularly send the cutest photos.”

“Sophie was great! This was our first experience with a sitter for our 8 year old pup and he was very happy. I was very comfortable, as she sent daily pictures of their days together. We will definitely use Sophie again”

“I highly recommend Alexis to take care of your four-legged loved one(s). She is an absolute natural with the doggies, and my anxious girl, Tanya, was at ease within minutes of meeting her. I honestly don't think Tanya missed me one bit because she was having way too much fun at Alexis' large, fenced-in property hanging out with the other doggies in her care. Alexis has a van that is outfitted for transporting doggies to and from, making the whole process much easier for families. Alexis knew I was worried about Tanya and was kind enough to send me snapshots and a short video of my girl having fun and getting a tummy rub (her favorite thing in the world). I was able to relax during my trip because I knew all was well. Thank you, Alexis, and you're my absolute number one person I want to take care of Tanya the next time I have to leave town.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Sterling
Ratih was flexible and responsible! We requested two visits to her home before our vacation to help my dog become familiar with her family. Ratih and her husband happily arranged the visits, and we felt very welcomed. My dog had a great time while our family was on vacation. She was healthy and happy when we picked her up from Ratih’s home after we returned. I would book with Ratih again the next time we go on vacation!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Sterling home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Sterling.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Sterling sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
