I've been doing it on my own since I was 10. I am enrolled full-time at college, and as of right now I work on the weekends. Perhaps evenings on the weekdays can work best for us! I can crate if needed, and a leash is necessary for visits outside of the home, of course. For cats, I make sure doors are closed, so they don't escape.
