The number of pets I can accommodate depends on their size, energy level, temperament, and individual needs. If you prefer and request your pet(s) to be the only ones boarded during their stay, please notify me in advance. This waiting period allows each dog to decompress, adjust to the new environment, and display their natural behavior before meeting others. If a dog shows signs of stress or discomfort, introductions may be delayed or adjusted for safety. 🐾About me: I was raised on a farm containing large and small animals so I was taught the importance of all living things, but the passion for them bloomed on its own. During my time as a veterinary technician, I gained valuable hands-on experience, including learning how to properly administer medications and mastering essential techniques. My experience at a professional boarding facility further reinforced my passion for providing personalized, attentive care through home-based pet services. I recently worked as a groomer's apprentice, but I’m currently studying to become a certified dog obedience trainer, which will expand my ability to support your furry family members. I’ve loved every moment of my past four years on Rover, from meeting incredible families to caring for pets of all types and personalities. 🐾As a stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your pets the attention they deserve. I’m here to help whenever you need a trusted sitter! To ensure a balanced schedule for both my family and the pets in my care, my phone is silenced between 10 PM and 8 AM. If your fur-baby is a social butterfly, they’ll love visiting me. My home often welcomes friends and family, some bring their dogs for playdates, too! For less social pets, I will ensure a calm and comfortable environment tailored to their needs. While my new home doesn’t have a fenced yard, I’ve adjusted by providing supervised outdoor time with 15-foot leads in my spacious backyard. I also prioritize mealtime safety and feed pets in separate spaces to ensure a stress-free experience. If a crate is needed, I have one available so you don't have to transport yours!

About: I have cared for several work friend's pets, including someone who had 7 medium-large dogs with a laundry list of special accommodations and medications needed I am an Army Veteran going to college, this leaves my afternoons and weekends completely free. I can alter the rest of my schedule to accommodate your pet I have a dog and cat of my own, so I have experience with the difference in the needs and behaviors of the two most common household pets. I care for their physical as well as their mental health to the best of my ability. I strive to care for all animals the same way.

About: I have taken care of dogs within my household for 15 years now, with the additional walking & house sitting for neighbors! I recently started pet walking & sitting in Blacksburg this year and have had such a blast! As an incoming vet student this fall, I will bring an expertise and view that will be beneficial for the pet in their environment and for the owners. I am so motivated to support owners with their schedules by sitting or walking! I’m currently working part-time throughout the summer, and have time within the day to complete walks for your pets! I am also available to pet sit in-home for you if needed; preferably not Monday-Wednesday, but I am flexible! I always start off my sessions with building a connection with the pet prior. If possible, I like to meet prior to needing my services to socialize myself with the pet, so that trust can be gained. Once this is done, I love to play with the pets and cuddle them so that they feel secure! I love taking photos of the pets during walks to send to the owners, as this reassures them!

About: Hello! I love all types of pets and currently have two dogs of my own. I am a student at Virginia-Maryland college of veterinary medicine trying to earn some extra money by doing what I love, playing with pets. I have experience with all types of pets at varying sizes and personalities. During my undergraduate career, I raised two Seeing Eye Dogs and helped other raisers with training. During this time, I worked at a veterinary hospital, participated in animal specific events like vaccination clinics, and groomed. From healthy puppies and kittens to seniors who need medication, I have seen it all and am prepared to help with whatever your pet needs. I hope I can meet your fur babies and shower them with love while you’re away. I offer additional grooming services, ask about them if your interested. As someone who owns two dogs, pet care is a priority in my life. Both of my pups get plenty of one-on-one time as well as long walks and enrichment in the house. During the day, the pups are crated while I am at school, but if my boyfriend is off of work they get to run around and play. As soon as I get home the dogs get taken out and fed. Along with daily care, I take care of all of their grooming and medical needs as well. I currently live in apartment complex which has a dog play area for your furry friends to get plenty of exercise. There is also a trail connected to the complex which will be utilized for long walks and plenty of sniffing opportunities. Both of my pups are very friendly and would be happy to be your pet’s playmate during their stay.

About: Ever since I was born I had an animal right by my side . I have learned to take care of animals and provide for them. I have taken care of friends, family and neighbors pets in the past. I also have worked at a dog daycare called tail chasers so I have experience with big dog groups. I’m good with cats as well . I’m experienced with walking multiple dogs at a time because I got 3 myself. I’m currently working 3:30 am to 12:00 pm so I will have plenty time to spend with your animals. I’m free on the weekends as well . Willing to come to your place to house sit and take care of your animals. I have done that in the past for people. Willing to also stop by and give water, food and walks with some play time on the side .

About: I've had a dog all my life except for the brief interlude (1965-1970) while I served in the Marine Corps. Since my kids have grown and left home my dogs are now my babies. I'm retired and have a lot of time on my hands. I'd like to have the option of caring for someones pet now and then to give me something to do. I love dogs and rarely met a dog that doesn't love me right back. My dogs are almost always with me. Excepting - going to the store in the summer when the temperature in the car would be too hot. I make sure my dogs are safe and comfortable.

About: I have previously worked with Flying Fur, a doggy daycare and boarding service located in Newport, VA. Here, I gained experience working with various breeds and temperaments, and I would be happy to help you with your animal while you are away. In high school, I took small animal care as well as vet science, and have interacted with several of the therapy dogs on Radford University Campus. I am currently a college student working part-time, and I’d love to help care for your pet on my free time!! I am free weekly in the mornings and evenings! Can’t wait to meet your pets! About: I’ve been caring for dogs since middle school and have over 7 years of experience with pups and cats of all ages and temperaments. As a landscape architecture student at Virginia Tech, I love spending time outside and staying active—whether that means long walks, hikes, or just backyard playtime. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me for years to walk, feed, bathe, and love their pets like my own. I treat every animal with patience, joy, and genuine care. I currently take classes from 8 in the morning until 12 pm, so I am available from 6-7am and 1-6pm M-F and 10am-5pm Saturday and Sunday! I do my best to make your pet feel comfy and cared for, whether I’m hanging out at your place or taking them for a walk. I’ll follow whatever routine you’ve got and use whatever leash or gear you prefer. If your pup needs to be crated at certain times, I’ve got no problem with that—and I’ll make sure they’re settled and relaxed. I’m also comfortable giving meds if needed, just let me know the details :)

“Impromptu travel as usual and I needed a walker for my Cutie. Trying to reach a couple of Rover walkers in the area was a wash. Thankfully I didn’t give up I found Brittany. Brittany is heaven sent she was available for my request. Honestly based on her qualifications and her love of animals she’s better than most. She was prompt with Cuties schedule unlike other walkers. I’ve had nightmares of my ride didn’t make it and Uber delays. Cutie took a liking to Brittany which was refreshing because she picks and chooses who she’s like lol. I will most definitely schedule Brittany again in the future.”

About: I have taken care of animals most of my life, and have had anything from dogs and cats, to chickens and ducks, snakes, goats, llamas, etc. I have successfully trained dogs in basic behavioral skills and administered medication of various forms to all my animals. I also have confidence with even the largest of breeds, having owned a cane corso, among others. I have experience leash training as well as acclimating dogs with new animals and curbing unwanted behavior. I work full- time, but can work with you, especially if I can plan ahead by a week or more. I do occasionally leave town, but again, can generally adjust my schedule accordingly. I prefer to allow animals freedom to roam around if possible, but understand animals have different needs. All walks are leashed, no exceptions unless you have a fully fenced and secure yard you prefer your pet to run around.

About: I have taken care of dogs in my neighborhood as well as friends animals all my life. Walking, feeding and caring for them comes natural to me. I am a substitute teacher so I have plenty of time to devote in the summer and have many days off in the other seasons. Able to follow detailed instructions for caring for pets. I have a senior diabetic dog right now so although I can’t have other animals in my home I love to take care of animals where they live and are comfortable.
