About: I have always been an animal lover since childhood and have taken care of a variety of pets of all sizes! I've helped raise puppies, taken care of senior dogs, and helped train good walking, bathing, and bathroom habits. Most animals respond very well to me. I am at home this summer until my college classes start in the fall to continue my degree in early childhood education. Weekends or evenings are not a problem for house sitting. I am more than happy to watch your pets while you are away on vacation or gone for the day. I Can do drop bys or overnights depending on your preference and your animals needs. I have a large fenced yard that is great for animals if you need boarding. I have reliable transportation to get to and from. I can take them on walks in your neighborhood or go to a local dog park if you prefer. Very open to working with what is best for your animal. I have my own dogs at home but will leave them there while caring for your animal(s) unless you would like the socializing. We have two friendly larger male dogs that love to meet new dogs if you are interested in doggy day care or boarding. Our home has a large size dog door for pets to access the house at their convenience.

About: Friends call my home a dog retreat and relaxation center. It's a quiet, country setting with room to run, plenty to explore, and comfortable lounging. I've been fostering dogs and puppies with Redwood Pals Rescue for years and am a vetted volunteer with the Humboldt County Animal Shelter. I'm happy to send you photos or videos of how your dog's doing and feel free to text/call for updates anytime. I work from home most of the time. Dogs love the country routine and seem to relax here. I live rurally, in Southern Humboldt, but can meet for drop-offs and pick-ups in the Redway/Garberville area or the Arcata/Eureka/McKinleyville area or anywhere in between. For stays less than 4 days, I'll ask that we add the pick-up/drop-off fee. I have a large fenced yard, dog doors to come in and out of the house, and different areas to keep dogs separate, if needed. I usually keep new dogs separated from mine till they get to know each other and show that they like each other. I also have baby gates and can use dog crates inside if needed. I have hosted a lot of foster dogs and puppies for the Rescue and retreats for dogs from the Animal Shelter and have participated in numerous trainings with professional animal trainers and behaviorists. I know when I have to be away from my dogs that they need a kind person to hang out with, some fun, and a comfortable place to hangout till I can come back for them.
