“Katy took care of my 5-month-old puppy, Bagel, for three days while I was in the area taking a painting class. Bagel is a very sweet, social and energetic puppy who loves people and other dogs, but he can become overstimulated around other dogs and doesn’t always know how to settle himself yet. Although I had explained that ahead of time, I don’t think either Katy or I realized just how difficult it would be for him to settle in a new home with another dog around. Katy really did try hard to make him comfortable. She took him on walks, played with him, worked on calming him down, and even made a trip to the pet store for a stronger harness, leash, blanket, treats and other things she thought might help. She communicated with me throughout the day and was very honest when she felt Bagel was becoming more than she could comfortably manage for a full day. After two particularly challenging days, we agreed to shorten his third day. Interestingly, he seemed to be settling in better by then, and Katy ended up keeping him until about 2:00 rather than the noon pickup we had planned. Bagel was always happy to see Katy and willingly went with her each morning, which meant a lot to me. I also really liked Katy personally and appreciated how much she cared about making the situation work. Bagel was simply a much bigger handful in her home than I expected, and I think being around another dog all day made it especially hard for him to turn himself off and rest. I’m grateful for the effort Katy put in and for how much she genuinely cared about Bagel during his stay.”

We have a big fenced in yard and pups will have plenty of free space outside to play. Our dog is a little loud because she’s hard of hearing and will act a little tough at first with a tiny growl (hey! She’s been my baby since I bottle fed her at 5 weeks, she’s gotta protect her fam) and she will bark for awhile but she gets used to every pet she’s been around in a matter of minutes. Never had any fights or incidents with her. We just ask that if your animal has any aggressive tendencies, to please consider other options or contact me for a meet and greet to see if we make a good fit. I’m here to play with your pet during the day and take them out/feed them/give them treats as much as needed. I do ask that you be as honest as possible about your pet’s potty-training issues (if any) and temperament/energy levels - we want them to be comfortable with us but we also have to look out for our kiddo. About: I have volunteered at an animal rescue sanctuary for 10+ years. As a caretaker my duties at the sanctuary require demanding physical labor, housekeeping, and responsibilities of supervision over animals and other volunteers. We had over 100+ different types of animals and always have been around dogs and cats! They are my joy! I work 2 full time jobs but I have mornings, evenings and weekends open! sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
