A few days before the stay, they invited me over for a meet-and-greet so I could get a feel for their home, meet them, and introduce my dog to their sweet pup, Lana. The moment I walked in, I knew they were the right people. Their space was welcoming, safe, and dog-friendly, and their kind energy instantly put me at ease. Throughout the stay, they went above and beyond. They sent frequent updates and lots of pictures, which made me smile every time. It was so comforting to see my dog happy, relaxed, and having a blast with Lana. Our dog is very much a hound and will sniff and puppy chew through anything- she is not able to be off leash yet outside of the house because she has terrible hound recall haha, but Jessica took all of my concerns to heart, followed my very detailed list of Hazel-care, and took GREAT care of her. About: I’ve been around animals my whole life! I’ve done everything from fostering to raising litters of puppies and kittens. I’m an active person so there is no shortage of playtime. I’m very dedicated to providing the love and support pets need! Caring for pets is always a priority of mine as I currently own a dog and cat myself. I work part time so my schedule is very flexible. I have a spare bedroom in my house with a large mattress for pets to rest on. There is space for a crate if needed. My backyard is very spacious. My area is fairly quiet as I live outside the city. I am very in tune with cats and dogs. I am Also very patient with walks. My Pekingese will sniff EVERY blade of grass and that’s ok. Safety is a priority. Your cats will not get out on my watch. Your dogs will always be leashed. Water available for them on walks when it’s hot. I am retired and I have all the time in the world. My Husband and I take care of our pets so I am available. I will enter your home with softness and will read your pet. Making sure they feel safe with me. Your cats will have high respect for petting. Some love it and some hate it. About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have cared for four dogs of different ages, breeds, and sizes. I currently have an 8-year-old mutt named Tucker who is incredibly sweet. Tucker previously went through heartworm treatment, so I have experience following medication schedules and giving medication as directed. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playing, basic grooming, and giving pets plenty of attention. I’ve also owned and cared for parrots, iguanas, lizards, hamsters, and many other animals. My kitties are my shadows, I never use the restroom alone. They have taught me so much and I love the unique personality that I find in each one of them. Tucker previously went through heartworm treatment, so I have experience following medication schedules and giving medication as directed.
