About: Recently retired teacher with a flexible schedule available to care for your furry family members while you travel or work. I’ve always been a huge animal lover and treat pets as family members. ( I also have a passion for pet photography.) I believe in regular communication throughout the day so that you can relax knowing your pets are safe and happy (I’ve been there and know how important that is!) ❤️ I’ve taken care of aging pets and know how to administer medication if needed. (As you can see from my photos, I LOVE taking pictures of your pet and sharing them with you! ). Edit: My husband recently retired so he is home and loves our furry visitors as much as I do! I’m retired and home every day so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets! My husband is also home in the evenings to help if needed. While I’m new to Rover, I am not new to pet care! I will also provide you with an edited digital photo of your pet as a keepsake!❤️ I have a fenced-in yard with plenty of room to run and play. Your pet will never be left unattended and will be given lots of love and attention. We have a laid back approach in our home and your pup will not be crated unless you request it. 🐾
About: I have always had animals in my life. I know each one is different and special. I grew up on a farm so I know having a loving and compassionate person to care for your babies is a necessity when you have animals. I am a stay at home mom so while the kids are at school I have plenty of time to come by and play with your babies. I have a fenced in courtyard area in my home. We also have two dogs that love other dogs. One is a rescue Maltese and is 12 years old. The other is a 2 year old poodle, he is my husband's service dog so usually he is at work with my husband all day.

I’ve owned my GSP who stays at my moms house, since she was a puppy and house-trained her myself, so I’m experienced with the patience, consistency, and care that puppies require. About: I have a standard size golden doodle and he is so affectionate so i know how it feels to leave your dog somewhere but here my goal is to provide the best at home care for your doodle/poodle. I have had a lot of trouble finding a suitable place for him because he doesn't love to be in the crate, he needs love all the time and want to be involved in everything as a family so if your dog is similar, i am the perfect match. i work from home and i dont believe in ever leaving my dog alone at home so basically i am always home to take care of your fur baby. I have a fenced yard and a standard size happy golden doodle to give company to your doodle/poodle. We have a free roaming environment at home with lots of backyard fetch and other games but can-do crate if you need. i dont like the idea of leaving my dog in the boarding day cares available because my dog doesnt feel comfortable and i dont either so i give a free home like environment with the air conditioned always running and me always availble at home. Hypoallergenic and friendly dogs only.
“Victoria was very sweet and responsive. I felt very comfortable leaving our pup with her for the day. Thank you for all of the updates! They helped us remain at ease :) Thank you again for keeping Quinn safe and letting her run around in your backyard!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was around 13, from pet sitting for neighbors, friends and family to working professionally in dog daycare and boarding facilities. I have experience with dogs of all ages and sizes, including puppies and senior dogs. I’m comfortable giving medications, following prescription diets and special feeding instructions, and I also have experience giving insulin injections to diabetic dogs. My professional experience has also included bathing, daycare/boarding care and transporting pets. I have three dogs of my own, including my 11-year-old husky mix and two young dachshunds, so I’m very comfortable with everything from puppy energy to senior care. I currently have a very flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of time for pet care throughout the week. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits and other pet care during weekdays and weekends. I’m happy to work with your pet’s normal routine as much as possible, whether that means early potty breaks, meal times, medications or just some extra playtime and attention. I treat every pet like I would want someone to treat my own. I pay close attention to feeding instructions, medications, potty schedules and each pet’s individual routine. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs and dogs with special care needs. I’m also very mindful of doors, gates, leashes and surroundings because I know how quickly a curious dog can decide it’s time for an adventure! About: I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. Growing up with pets taught me responsibility, patience, and the joy that comes from truly understanding an animal’s needs. As an adult, I’ve continued that commitment through responsible pet ownership, giving my own pets a loving, structured, and enriching home. My foundation in animal care goes even deeper thanks to my years in 4‑H, where I gained hands‑on experience in dog husbandry. From training and grooming to understanding canine behavior and proper health routines, 4‑H gave me practical skills that I still use every day. It shaped the way I approach pet care—with intention, respect, and a focus on safety and well‑being. Whether it’s daily walks, structured play, or simply offering a calm, comforting presence, I bring a lifetime of experience and genuine love for animals to every pet I care for. Your dog isn’t just another booking to me—they’re a member of the family, and I treat them with the same attention and affection I give my own. Working from home allows me to build pet care into the rhythm of my day in a way that feels effortless and intentional. Mornings start with a quick check‑in, fresh water, and a walk to get everyone moving. Throughout the workday, I’m able to offer consistent companionship — whether that’s a midday potty break, a play session between meetings, or simply being a calm presence while I work. I can keep an eye on their behavior, maintain feeding schedules, and respond quickly to their needs. Afternoon breaks often turn into enrichment time: a walk, a puzzle toy, or a little training practice to keep their minds engaged. Even as I wrap up my workday, pets stay part of the flow — evening walks, dinner routines, and plenty of attention. Working from home means your pet gets steady care, structure, and affection woven naturally into my day, not squeezed in around it. I have a fenced yard and 2 friendly dogs (74 lb. silver lab + 35 lb. terrier mix). My goal is to keep your pets routine consistent while providing a clean, safe and calm environment. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal rhythm. I follow your feeding, walking, and medication schedules exactly as you outline, and I make sure they get the same level of attention and affection they’re used to. I also keep your home tidy, respect your space, and provide updates so you always know how your pet is doing.
About: I’ve been fostering and volunteering with dogs for years, so I’m comfortable with all kinds. I really enjoy training too, whether it’s playing ball, doing some basic obedience work, or just sitting and creating a relaxed state of mind. I’m good at reading cues and making sure the dogs feel safe while they’re with me. Options include field play time, scent games, recall work, and a slat-mill for burning energy inside during the hottest months. I am certified by Animal Behavior College and have been training at Larry Benoit's facility for about 6 months. I care for all of the dogs just like my own! I have many dogs here and allow friends to play. I can also crate and rotate if you're not sure your dog will get along with others. When we train, we focus one on one!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Springfield commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
