About: Hi, I’m Katherin. I live in the countryside with my husband, our Great Dane, two cats, and a flock of eight chickens. Animals are a big part of my everyday life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I also enjoy gardening, spending time in nature, and being surrounded by animals—whether I’m at home or helping care for yours. Growing up, pets were always part of my family, and my very first job as a kid was pet sitting for neighbors. Since then, I’ve continued caring for animals of all kinds—my own dogs and cats, as well as those of friends and family. I’ve had the pleasure of looking after pets ranging from tiny Yorkshire Terriers to gentle Great Danes, and I’m experienced in administering medication and providing senior pet care. I currently have a flexible schedule and am available for house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking. I’m not working another job, so I can dedicate plenty of time to your pets—and eventually, I hope to make pet sitting my full-time work! When I’m house sitting, please note that my husband works a 12-hour rotating shift—three days one week and four days the next. On the days he’s working, I’ll need to return home briefly to care for my own pets. During that time, I’d be away from your home for no more than 6 hours. Your pets’ comfort and well-being are always my top priority, and I’ll make sure they’re settled and cared for before stepping out. A few years ago, my husband and I used Rover for the first time, and I know firsthand how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pets in someone else's care. Fortunately, it turned out to be a wonderful experience—our sitter kept us updated with messages and photos, and we came home to happy, relaxed pets. That peace of mind was truly priceless. I carry that experience with me every time I care for someone’s pets. I’m committed to providing a safe, trustworthy, and stress-free environment, just like I’d want for my own animals. Regular updates, clear communication, and attentive care are all part of how I help you feel confident and comfortable while you're away.

About: I've provided care for cats and dogs ranging from kitten and puppy to senior. I've been walking and doing daily in-home visits for several years, as well as taking care of my own animals. I also have experience with lizards and rabbits. I work part-time, so I'm flexible and have more open availability. I'm usually avaliable on short notice and can make earlier morning or later evening visits or extended visits during vacations. I'm happy to follow any care instructions you may have, including crating or other special considerations. I'm fine administering meds and also have some experience with wound care.

About: As a true animal lover who misses her pets while away at school, I’m excited to offer hands-on care for a wide range of animal companions. I’ve raised cats, dogs, rabbits, and chickens, and I also work closely with the animal lab at the Science Museum of Virginia in my hometown of Richmond. There, I care for reptiles, amphibians, fish, and even arachnids, giving me both the compassion and confidence to care for exotic pets of all kinds. I’m a full time student at JMU, with classes M-Th, I am offering all day/as needed care on weekends starting Friday after 1pm. I am open to drop-ins and walks after 6pm weekdays, except Tuesday. About: My dog-sitting history is primarily dogs with a variety of health issues and idiosyncrasies. Does your dog have special needs or odd habits? I've got it covered! Normies welcome too. ;) I work full time during the week, so I'm available weekends if you need me during the day or I can lend my services on weekdays evenings/mornings depending on proximity. I'm religious about monitoring doors and making sure everyone is appropriately harnessed/leashed. I have experience administering topical and oral medications and can maintain time-sensitive care schedules.

About: I’ve taken care of neighborhood dogs for as long as I can remember. I also grew up with dogs and absolutely adore them, as well as cats. I am working a flexible part time job where I make my own schedule, so I have a very flexible schedule and can adapt to your needs. About: I haven’t yet met a dog I don’t like. Not so big on slobber, but I can get behind everything else. My entire dad’s side of the family has had dogs for as long as I can remember, and three years ago we adopted our own dog, Percy. I helped train him from five months old to now and I continue to help caring for him every day. I have dogsat for various families in my neighborhood and they always ask me to come back! I’m currently home from college for the summer with very little travel plans: the perfect pet sitter! I have tons of free time and a lot of love to lend your pets. In my own home, I pay special attention to my pets. I make sure any toys that are choking hazards are immediately thrown away and I make sure the litter box is clean/plenty of potty breaks are taken. In your home I will do the same.

About: I’ve been around dogs, cats, and even farm animals since I was very young. I worked as a kennel technician at a vet in college, so I have plenty of experience with animals, as well as administering medication. I grew up helping my parents out at their doggy daycare and boarding facility. Friends and family always give me a call when they need someone to watch their furry friends! I am currently a student, so I have lots of free time throughout the days during the week, as well as weekends to take your pups on walks, or pop in when needed to check on your feline friends. I am very passionate about making sure your furry friend is happy and relaxed when I arrive at your home. I will ensure your pup/cat has everything they need to keep them happy throughout the day.

About: With over 50 years of pet ownership and caretaking experience as a foster through Lab Rescue of Greater Richmond, I would treat your furry friends as my own. I’ve had both dogs and cats and am comfortable administering medications and working with pets of all ages. As a retiree with no pets of my own at the moment, it’d be a great joy to take care of yours. I’m fully retired so I have plenty of time available to devote to the care and well-being of your pets. I’m happy to do scheduled drop-in visits during the day or overnights if needed throughout Augusta County. As a former foster parent, I have worked with dogs of varying comfort levels and special needs. I would take care of your pets with the same level of care and support as my own. About: I am a social worker by trade, and currently I am professor at two local colleges. I also write books and and do photography. I specialize in social psychology and I am intuitive to human and animal needs. As mentioned, I am an adjunct professor, write, and do photography. As such I have free time to care for your pet daily and at various times. I have always cared for my pets like family (and some may argue a little better, lol). I have a SUV and know different locations to walk your pet, or I can walk them locally. I also love cats and can spend time in your home playing with with them and the infamous red dot or other toys. I am also familiar with all types of animals and can care for your farm animals and other in door animals.

About: I have taken care of many of my friends pets, both dogs and cats and when I didn't have a pet of my own, would often borrow one! They make life so much better! Two of my references can give you first hand information about how much I loved and cared for their dogs. I work a 40 hour week in Waynesboro and depending on location of the pet, can do drop in visits before and after work and sometimes during the day (if local). I can come to your home or your dog can come to mine. I am not opposed to overnight stays. Your pet will be treated as if my own and with as much love and care as they can handle! They are more than pets, they are family!
