About: Whether your dog is shy, elderly, boisterous, or just wants to sniff, my home and back yard are a fun and welcoming spaces for them to just be themselves. I’ve taken more than a dozen training classes with Dogs Best Friend Training, volunteered with Fetch Wisconsin, and cared for several beloved coonhounds, a Giant Schnauzer, and a few mutts, from puppyhood to the Rainbow Bridge. I have a special spot in my heart for older dogs, and even have a ramp exit from my home into the back yard, should anyone’s legs not do stairs. My current pup is a 35-lb terrier/pittie mix rescue I foster-failed with from FetchWI. She loves other dogs and is available for play at any time. I work from home full-time, leaving only for short errands, generally less than two hours every few days. Dogs at my house get frequent potty breaks and playtime in the spacious fenced back yard. Dogs are never left unsupervised outdoors. They can play with my resident dog, who is a very friendly gal with the motto “Delta Delta Delta can I help ya help ya help ya?”. If I have to be gone for a bit there is plenty of room to crate them, or possibly keep them in a separate space. Water is available at all times, indoors and out. For now, I am only accepting one guest dog at a time for daycare or overnight stays. Dropoff and pickup times are 7-9am and 4-6pm Monday through Saturday. Dogs can choose to spend time indoors or out, weather permitting. They can smell the ferns, check out the rain garden, play in the grass, run around under the firs, and say hello to the kids next door. They can zoom around with my resident dog, chill out on the deck or play toss and fetch with me. Indoors they can explore my downstairs and rest on a dog bed, or hang out near me on the futon or the bed. If the weather is too bad for outdoor play I can do informal training and play scent games with them. Dogs that stay three days or more will get a free bath unless requested otherwise.

Geissy and Kevin went above and beyond—taking her for multiple walks, playing with her all day, and truly treating her like their own. Stevie adored them both and she was always thrilled to go there each morning. I can’t thank Geissy enough for her kindness and care. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving sitter!”

About: Feel comfortable and confident with the care your dog receives! Let’s be honest, sending your dog to a new home or having a new friendly face in your home while you are away can be stressful for you and your pup. I make the transition feel easy and calm for both of you so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pup is well cared for. I work to keep your dog’s routine in tact (very important) and you up to speed on your dog’s care. I’m a highly experienced sitter, proactive and responsive communicator, and a playful, compassionate human. I don’t have a dog so your pup will get my full attention - I will keep up with any behavior training and ensure your dog gets the activity they need to thrive. I can accommodate dogs with special needs (I grew up with a dog with only three working legs) and I have experience administering drugs to pets and farm animals. I look forward to hearing from you! I work from home part time and out of the house (6-8 hours) part time. My schedule varies week to week so depending on the days you book I may be home most of the time. At minimum I’ll give your pup a long walk in the morning and evening and an extra potty and play break mid day or after the evening walk. I have a large fenced in yard that dogs love! I will give lots of pets/scratches, take breaks during my day to play with your pup, and make sure your dog has a comfortable place to rest during the day. I also take great care to ensure no food or trash is accessible because I understand dogs may like to explore and test boundaries when they are curious in a new place.

About: My very first job was at the ymca as a daycare attendant at 12 coinciding with my first volunteer work at the local cat shelter. So caretaking is my bread and butter. I’ve got experience I big and aggressive dogs including training as well as itty bitty dogs. I have not had the hubris to attempt training cats but they tend to like me especially kittens (idk a generational trait according to my grandfathers family). I’ve just moved to Madison so I’m looking to fill my schedule with fuzzy faces. Eventually I will be working but I will build that schedule around this. Obviously it depends on the pet but typically for own pets I feed them on a timer twice a day. The dogs go outside before hand. Then treats through the day for certain tasks like bedtime, not barking at strangers or to leave me alone when I’m going to the bathroom XD. My dogs would also get a long walk (1-3 hours) two or three days a week.
