About: I've been caring for dogs since I was a teenager, and they've always held a special place in my life. I had my beloved dog, Chico, for 16 wonderful years before we eventually lost him to old age and health issues. Although he was small, he had a HUGE personality and was basically my sidekick. He went just about everywhere with me: dog parks, camping, hiking, beach adventures, road trips, and yes, probably more dog-friendly pubs than the average dog. 😂 At the beach, his absolute favorite activity was sniffing every single piece of driftwood like it contained critically important information. And after all those adventures, he was happiest snuggled up next to me under approximately 47 blankets. Caring for Chico through every stage of his life, from an energetic young pup all the way through his senior years, gave me firsthand experience with how much a dog's needs can change over time and how much love, patience, and companionship they deserve along the way. Over the years, I've also become the go-to person for friends and family when they need someone they trust with their dogs. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pup's personality because, as any dog person knows, they ALL have one! After 16 years with Chico, our home definitely feels a little too quiet without a dog in it. Getting to welcome other people's pups into our lives and give them some of that love we've been missing is something my whole family really enjoys. So while you're away, there's a pretty good chance your dog will be getting spoiled with attention over here. 🐾 My schedule is very flexible, so I have plenty of time to spend with the pups in my care! My main daily routine is getting my kids to and from the bus stop, which is close enough that we can easily walk when needed. I'm home throughout most of the day, so pets in my care won't be spending long stretches of time alone. I have plenty of flexibility for boarding, daycare, walks, and drop-ins, and I'm excited to fill some of that extra time caring for new furry friends! Your pet's safety and comfort will always come first! In my home, pups are welcomed into our everyday family life and treated like one of our own. We have a spacious, fully fenced backyard where they can safely get outside throughout the day. We currently don't have any pets of our own after losing our beloved dog, Chico, after 16 wonderful years together. We definitely miss having a pup around and love getting the chance to give our furry guests all that extra love and attention while they're here! I'll follow your dog's feeding, medication, potty, sleeping, and other care instructions as closely as possible. I also understand that some dogs settle in immediately while others need a little extra time and space to feel comfortable, and I'm happy to follow their lead. When caring for pets in your home, I'll treat your home and your pet with the same respect and care I'd want someone to show mine. I'll follow your instructions closely and always make sure doors, gates, and other areas are secure. And of course, expect photo updates! I want you to be able to enjoy your time away knowing your pup is safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

About: I have had pets my entire life dogs, cats, rabbits and horses. I am comfortable around every type of dog, however prefer to sit smaller dogs up to 25lbs. I have a mini dachshund who is 16 years old, who misses having friends around. I am familiar with puppies through seniors. I do work from home 4 days a week. Currently I have an unfenced yard, I use retractable leashes to maintain safety when outside. Your fur-baby will get daily walks and plenty of love. I work from home 4 days a week, giving me the opportunity to give your pet plenty of attention in an adults only home with one dog for companion time. We do daily walks around the neighborhood, in a wooded area or at Manchester state park. I don’t currently have a fenced yard, outdoor time will be on retractable leashes for potty breaks, time on the fenced deck, and daily walks using your pets regular leash. Should pets need to be left home unattended I will ensure everyone is in safe, separate locations close enough companionship but not mischief. Safety and well cared for is my goal.

Our 8 mo old Australian Shepard rescue mix cannot be left at home alone due to her separation anxiety and Eric accommodated a last minute request for her to try doggie day care with him (her first doggie day care experience). She loves it! He does a great slow introduction with the dogs by doing a crate greeting in the morning before free play outside later. Mari played with so many dogs of all sizes! She needs a ton of exercise (plus puppy naps) and Eric totally delivered! We immediately booked him for the next day (and the next)! I cannot recommend him highly enough for energetic dogs who love to play with others. About: I have 5+ years of experience working in a dog daycare, in addition to caring for family and friends' pets since I was nine years old. My lifelong affinity for animals drives my dedication to their well-being and happiness. I had the feeling from the first conversation I had with Michael over the phone that this was going to be the right choice, a feeling I did not have until then. To say I was trepidatious is an understatement. I asked Michael to wait and allow Mathilda and I to get out of the vehicle, get her feet on the ground, do those doggy things doggies do and then approach him from a distance. She’s an old dog and she can be vulnerable in those uncertain moments, a formidable dog for her entire life, she now feels vulnerability in the most acute way. Because of her age and increasing infirmity, and also because she has now been a witness to the end of the lives of her siblings and her mother and her father. The wisdom of those experiences has taught her that even the most formidable will fall. Michael agreed and let us come to him out in the field where he was standing. Mathilda, while at the same time being keenly aware of his presence acted as if she already knew him or he wasn’t even standing there. I’m sure we all claim at sometime or another that all dogs love us or that we know dogs and we probably do and they probably do, but I’m very grateful that in this case it was true for Michael and Mathilda. This was not easy for me, as I have repeatedly said. it is the first time in my life, I’m 55 years old and I’ve had a dog or as many as seven every day of it, every single day. I’ve never asked an unfamiliar person to watch my dog, not once. Mathilda has been through a lot lately and I could see when I arrived to pick her up… she was lying on the bed in her blanket in front of the Christmas tree, the casual activities of a warm interior space on a cold winter night happening around her. And though Mathilda seemed forlorn in my absence, she was more comfortable and peaceful than I have seen her in a long time, Michael had to reach down and touch her, to draw her from her reverie and tell her I was there as she was so settled in and relaxed, if also sad with wonder about where I was and when I would return. Her glee at seeing me led her to, in her old age, wag her tail and emit the puppy sounds of joy. She was ready to go, quickly making her way to the door beside me, willing to leave that warm, wonderful space to come with me and I was grateful in that way that makes you count your blessings. I highly recommend Michael and encourage anyone who may like me find themselves needing a safe, loving, warm and soft, kind, and healing retreat for an old dog, or I can imagine a young dog, who is more precious to them than any other thing or all of them combined, to have faith and be patient, to be grateful, and to have trust for Michael, I have more of those things after this experience. I know I can rely on Michael and focus on my work with Mathilda in his care. i looked forward to writing this review from the moment I picked up Mathilda and we could not have had a better experience.
