“Reanna is wonderful! She has professional training and is very attentive and conscientious. Lots of nice pics, and even gave my baby a free brushing! Very nice lady and she took good care of my baby. She was exhausted from play and fun when I picked her up. I highly recommend her.”

“Wow! Cathleen is SO good! Mooch had a very successful first doggie day care and we will have him back. Cathleen is calm, loving and responsible. She is also very in tune with Mooch and his surroundings which contributed to his successful time away. Mooch is a Covid puppy with separation anxiety but you couldn’t tell with his time at Cathleen’s. She is a pro and a great choice ❤️”

“Our dog always has a great time hanging out with Maegan and her family. He always comes home happy and relaxed. We're very thankful he has such a great place to go for some playtime with other animals.”

“Brooke is lovely, flexible and genuine. Posy felt comfortable with her quickly and her pup Dennis. I look forward to having her care for my precious Posy again and love her patient responsive style. She is clearly a good and respectful human who loves the dogs she cares for.”

“Thanks to Kayla & family we had a great first time experience on Rover! Super responsive, accommodating, and let me bring Frankie for a visit to meet them the day before. Her kids loved on our dog and she sent pictures of Frankie snuggling😊”

“Our dog Midge loved spending the day with Kirsten and her dog Bear! Kirsten was very thorough with her meet and greet and listened to us explain all of Midge's little quirks. Midge was tired and happy after a long walk and romping around the yard with her doggie pals. You can tell Kirsten and her family are total dog people and will take care of your own doggo as if it were their own. We're planning to use Kirsten for more day care and overnight stays in the future!”

“Maria is fantastic! Marky is hesitant when it comes to interacting with people and dogs when I am not with him but Maria showed him there was nothing to fear! They take beautiful walks together, naps with his friends, and gets to play all day in a pack. He comes home tired and happy when the day is done. Maria really loves all of the dogs like her own”

“Rachael was able to take my pup last minute after another sitter cancelled on us. She was so great with our very energetic pup. Thank you so much for the time, care, and attention you provided to Harlan! Would definitely book again!”

“Khayl was amazing with my brand new puppy. She kept me up to date and sent videos during his visit. I would tell from the videos how well cared for he was and I will most certainly use her services again. A+++, you will be so happy with the care that she provides! Thank you again Khayl 💓”

“Tomas was great with our boxer boy, Hank. Hank played all morning in Tomas’ yard, and he was tuckered out all afternoon. Tomas kept us updated with pictures of Hank playing hard and even a snuggle towards the end of the day. We will definitely reach out again when Hank needs another play day!”

“We recently had the pleasure of leaving our dog Mike with Anna, and he had an absolutely fabulous time! Anna’s beautiful home and expansive fenced acreage provided the perfect environment for Mike. He had ample space to run and play. She also made sure Mike socialized with several other friendly dogs, and he even made a new buddy! Anna kept us updated with plenty of photos and videos, which made us feel at ease knowing Mike was having a great time. At the end of the day, Mike was tired but very happy, a clear sign of the fun and exercise he enjoyed. If your dog needs lots of exercise and enjoys playing with other pups, Anna is the perfect choice.”

“Baloo had a great time with Valerie! She was prompt in responses and offered a meet and greet before we dropped him off on a holiday! She took great care of him and was very flexible with us.”

“This was our first time booking a sitter/boarder for Lola and we had a great experience with Robin. I was fortunate to be able to book with her on fairly short notice for a weekday. We went from a daycare visit to an overnight stay seamlessly. She accepted my unspayed dog, which was also very fortunate. Lola had a fenced in yard, gracious family with kid(s), a clean home, and animals to keep her company during her stay. Overall, I found her responsive, easygoing and very accommodating. I'd feel safe bringing Lola to her again in the future. :)”

“Hongyee is amazing with my two dogs. Especially Mr. Watson whom requires medication. My pups are resting peacefully after a wonderful day. I'm so grateful to have found her and look forward to many more play dates at her home! ❤️😀”
“We love Lisa! Our dog runs so fast to her every time she watches her :) She comes back happy and exhausted. Lisa is a great communicator, punctual, and friendly! We are a many time repeat client :)”

“Christina was so amazing with my puppy and sent me lots of pictures and updates. George also became best friends with her dog which was so cute. He didn't want to go home at the end of the day! I will definitely bring George to doggy day care at Christina's again.”

“Our dog Martha had a wonderful time with Charis. She is normally a nervous nelly but jumped right out of the car excited to see Charis each time. Martha was happy and well cared for while I was gone. Thank you so much!”

“We have a newly adopted senior dog with severe separation anxiety after the loss of his previous owner. Leaving him home alone proved unsuccessful. In searching for a solution we found Jennifer and Alex. We are so relieved Jennifer and Alex welcomed Jett into their home and provided a safe, loving, fun place. He socializes with their pets beautifully and we get to enjoy the texted photos showing him happy and at ease with their three dog pack.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Southworth
I had the feeling from the first conversation I had with Michael over the phone that this was going to be the right choice, a feeling I did not have until then. To say I was trepidatious is an understatement. I asked Michael to wait and allow Mathilda and I to get out of the vehicle, get her feet on the ground, do those doggy things doggies do and then approach him from a distance. She’s an old dog and she can be vulnerable in those uncertain moments, a formidable dog for her entire life, she now feels vulnerability in the most acute way. Because of her age and increasing infirmity, and also because she has now been a witness to the end of the lives of her siblings and her mother and her father. The wisdom of those experiences has taught her that even the most formidable will fall. Michael agreed and let us come to him out in the field where he was standing. Mathilda, while at the same time being keenly aware of his presence acted as if she already knew him or he wasn’t even standing there. I’m sure we all claim at sometime or another that all dogs love us or that we know dogs and we probably do and they probably do, but I’m very grateful that in this case it was true for Michael and Mathilda. This was not easy for me, as I have repeatedly said. it is the first time in my life, I’m 55 years old and I’ve had a dog or as many as seven every day of it, every single day. I’ve never asked an unfamiliar person to watch my dog, not once. Mathilda has been through a lot lately and I could see when I arrived to pick her up… she was lying on the bed in her blanket in front of the Christmas tree, the casual activities of a warm interior space on a cold winter night happening around her. And though Mathilda seemed forlorn in my absence, she was more comfortable and peaceful than I have seen her in a long time, Michael had to reach down and touch her, to draw her from her reverie and tell her I was there as she was so settled in and relaxed, if also sad with wonder about where I was and when I would return. Her glee at seeing me led her to, in her old age, wag her tail and emit the puppy sounds of joy. She was ready to go, quickly making her way to the door beside me, willing to leave that warm, wonderful space to come with me and I was grateful in that way that makes you count your blessings. I highly recommend Michael and encourage anyone who may like me find themselves needing a safe, loving, warm and soft, kind, and healing retreat for an old dog, or I can imagine a young dog, who is more precious to them than any other thing or all of them combined, to have faith and be patient, to be grateful, and to have trust for Michael, I have more of those things after this experience. I know I can rely on Michael and focus on my work with Mathilda in his care. i looked forward to writing this review from the moment I picked up Mathilda and we could not have had a better experience.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
