“It's always a pleasure to work with Nichole. My dog adores her and loves to stay there. She is very accommodating with my hectic schedule and grest with communication. She administered oral medication to my dog on this trip and it went well.”

“Joy and Dan are great! Within minutes of dropping Tabi off I received pictures. What a wonderful family. They will always be my go-to because of all the love and attention Tabi received while staying there. Thanks again!”

“Noel was amazing she was very sweet and took good care of my pug while I was out of town she sent me constant updates with pictures. I highly recommend her for any boarding needs!”

“Omg loved her! She was awesome. She kept me updated daily with pictures and my cat’s activities. I will use her again!!! I was scared to leave my cat’s with a stranger but she made it so comfortable.”

“This is my first time using Rover or any pet service. We met Cathy with my dog Jenni ahead of her stay-over which made it a familiar experience when she went for boarding. Cathy is very caring and great with animals and I have already scheduled another stay for my dog with her for a work trip. Thank you!”

“Sharon was absolutely amazing. She took good care of our big puppy. She sent pics and kept us updated. Very kind and peaceful environment just like what our big puppy is used to. She did amazing working with his separation anxiety. Thank you Sharon, you are the best.”

“Laura took the best care of our 2 small dogs! She was flexible with our drop off /pick up times and sent pics each day. We asked her to keep an extra eye on our tiny escaping puppy, and Laura took extra care with the leash and yard. So comforting to leave the pups knowing they have company and watchful care!”

“Iman made me feel comfortable while away for 7 days. I received videos and pictures and my Jax looked really happy while he stayed with her. I intend to book her again.”

“Monica and Daniel were wonderful with Ringo! They made the drop off go so smooth. They treated him like their own pup! The pictures they sent us helped relieve any anxiety about leaving him and showed he was getting lots of attention! He will be very happy to see them again!”

About: Experienced pet sitter. I treat all as my own! I have 4 dogs of my own, 2 small dogs (ages 1 and 11) and 2 male German Shepard (2 yr and 5 yr). I care for and trained all my dogs. Routine is key. I have attended local training centers/classes for support. I am a certified foster for Humane Indiana, Munster, IN. I have experience with senior dogs as I have lost 2 senior dogs in the past, age 13 and 14. I will accommodate your pet as needed inside and outside of my home. I have 1 acre of land to exercise, fenced in area, inground pool with splash pad area (if they like to swim, otherwise, access is fenced off). I am willing to FaceTime/communicate with pet parent as needed! (I know how hard it is to be away from our pets). I am an ex-School Counselor who left the field of Education after 16 years. I assist husband with our business but my days are flexible to accommodate boarding bookings. Pets stay indoors. I have a fenced in area with a doggie door for in-out access to grassy area. I also have a crate if needed. Willing to feed your pup as instructed, take walks, and supervise always! If needed or desired, I have the ability to separate my dogs from yours. All my dogs are up to date on vaccinations, heart guard and are friendly. I would recommend a visit to my home with pet prior to boarding to allow your dog to get to know me, put your mind at ease, and ensure it’s a great fit for them!
“You guys were excellent thank you thank you thank you for taking wonderful care of my baby. I love all of the pictures and the videos will definitely use you guys in the future.”

“Toya was a wonderful sitter. We had to shift our boarding days last minute from Fri-Mon to Thurs-Sun last minute and she was able to accommodate without a problem. She was also very responsive and would reply back to any questions or check-ins within minutes. We especially loved her family environment which I feel was very comforting to our Brick. He seemed very comfortable when he first arrived and upon pick-up from his 3 night stay. We will definitely use Toya’s services again!”

“Ericka did a phenomenal job taking care of our pup! We were really anxious to leave her for 10 days around the Thanksgiving holiday, but Ericka’s updates, pictures, and communication quickly alleviated that. Ericka is so communicative and always makes sure to ask questions and confirm everything. Our pup was so well taken care of and treated as if she was Ericka’s! We can definitely see ourselves using her services again in the future.”

“i can tell just by walking into the house that Jene and her grandma is good people. I felt comfortable to leave my dogs with them and my dogs casino and celestia seem to have got comfortable quick. I would def use again”

“Sharee was a GODSEND!!! An absolute a dream to work with from initial contact to meet & greet, to the drop-off, to pick-up: everything was simple, seamless and SO well in hand. Since our Morty has only been for an overnight stay once without either me/my husband or a family member he’s known a LONG time, my husband and I were concerned about leaving our boy behind while we were on vacation but Sharee put both of us at ease right away. Sharee is warm and friendly with a great vibe. You can tell she knows what she’s doing and is very comfortable and confident working with multiple dogs of varying sizes. Sharee definitely gives off “Alpha” energy, which is especially important because dogs need to know who’s running things in order to feel as well as actually BE safe and secure. She’s got a great back yard with lots of room for pups to run around in and sniff as well as a decent sized area that is still outdoors but parceled off if pups need separation for any reason. This way everyone gets fresh air without having to sacrifice safety. I love this. Morty (who normally is quite bashful when meeting new people) took to Sharee right away: I believe this was because she was so calm, decisive, yet loving and warm with all the other dogs that were there. Once he saw how happy/not stressed out all the other dogs seemed, Morty seemed to fold into the pack pretty seamlessly. Tails were wagging hard and fast all around— it was amazing! One thing I truly appreciated was on the evening when we dropped Morty off, Sharee met us at the car and SHE walked Morty into the house and I followed behind. This set the tone and served as a kind of “changing of the guard” insofar as signaling to Morty that he had to listen to HER from then on out. He got on board without issue (again, safety first: I. LOVE. IT.), and then she introduced him to the other dogs who would be his buddies during his stay (some he’d met during the meet and greet, one he hadn’t… all was well!) While we were away Sharee kept us updated throughout each day on how Morty was adjusting and what good mischief he and the others were getting into with sweet pictures and videos which were always appreciated. We also discovered that Sharee’s dog, King, and Morty are kindred spirits and became fast friends so that was great too! While Morty seemed happy to see us when we came to scoop him up when it was time to go, I’d be lying if I said he didn’t cry for a little bit on the car ride home when he realized King wasn’t coming too! 😂 All told, we could not have asked for a better experience and will MOST DEFINITELY be repeat customers!!! Sharee is AMAZING!!!!!”

Depending on the day I’ll be avail as morning, noon or night and am free most weekends! I live in a pet friendly home with a fenced in backyard and plenty of space to run around! Whatever your pets needs are I’m happy to accommodate!
“Alexis was absolutely wonderful. We scheduled a meet&greet before hand so we were both comfortable and answered any questions I had. Alexis was fast and reliable with communication—answering all my messages very quickly. She gave us plenty of updates throughout the weekend with pictures as well. My boy has bad separation anxiety and Alexis was wonderful with ensuring he wasn’t alone and was comfortable the whole time. Alexis is a wonderful resource for us and we plan to use her again in the future! Thank you so much!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Southeast Grove home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Southeast Grove.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Southeast Grove sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
