My house when I am not living in the dorm at school consist of two indoor cats, an indoor dog, an outdoor cat, and an outdoor dog! All of my animals have grew up together and get along with other pets just fine! I do however take them out on a leash to ensure they don’t get scared or run off!
About: I’ve been a pet parent for almost my entire life. I’m also a nurse and a certified wildlife rehabber. I love all the critters and seeing them happy and cared for. I’m currently working part time on Mondays and Tuesdays, but intend to make pet sitting my full time job. I also volunteer at a wildlife rescue part time during the week. For the most part, I’m pretty flexible. I have a fenced in yard for stays at my house. I’m happy to cater to your pets needs at their home as well. I have my own senior dog, so I’m accustomed to spoiling.
About: "I've spent 30+ years working with dogs professionally — as a groomer (I owned a 500+ client grooming business), a vet tech and kennel manager, and a dog trainer. I'm also the author of a published dog-training book. I share my home with two dogs and two cats of my own, so animals aren't just my work — they're my life." My schedule is flexible, and I keep my Rover calendar updated in real time. Drop-in visits and walks can usually be arranged around my week — just send a request and I'll confirm quickly. For overnight sitting, I take on a limited number of bookings so each dog gets my full attention. I respond to all requests the same day. Your dog's safety comes first, always. In your home, I follow your routines exactly — locked doors, leashes on walks, and no off-leash time unless you've specifically okayed a secure area. I'm trained to read dog body language and spot stress early, and with 30+ years of professional experience, I stay calm in emergencies. You'll get updates and photos with every visit.

My experience in Pet Care is from having my own pets and caring for family, friends and volunteering over the years. I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups! About: I have loved dogs for as long as I can remember, and my passion for canine care began at age 14 when I first learned the fundamentals of training and responsible pet ownership. Since then, I have personally raised two dogs from nine-week-old puppies into adulthood, giving me hands-on experience with developmental needs, safety, and attentive daily care. Animals naturally sense my calm demeanor and feel comfortable around me, allowing me to build instant trust and keep them at ease. In addition to raising my own companions, I regularly help pet parents understand canine behavior and basic training through positive, clear communication that works seamlessly for both dogs and their owners. As a current student, my daily routine is structured to ensure your pets receive reliable, dedicated care without disruption. I have excellent availability early in the morning before classes, typically between 5:00 AM and 8:00 AM or 11:00 AM depending on the day. After classes wrap up, I am fully free for afternoon and evening visits starting after 12:00 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and after 5:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. As long as visits fall around these regular class windows, I can seamlessly accommodate walks, feedings, and drop-ins throughout the week. I also have zero issues providing overnight care and weekend coverage, giving your pets consistent attention, company, and love while keeping their routines completely on track. Because I am currently in school, I do not offer pet boarding in my own home. Instead, I specialize entirely in in-home pet sitting and drop-in visits, allowing your pets to stay comfortable, secure, and stress-free in their own familiar environment. When caring for your pets in your home, I treat your personal space with the highest level of respect, care, and cleanliness. My primary focus is making sure all of your pet’s essential needs are met meticulously, from precise feeding schedules and fresh water to maintaining clean living areas and administering medication if required. Beyond the basics, I pay close attention to each animal’s unique personality and follow any extra instructions to the letter, ensuring they receive plenty of exercise, playtime, and dedicated companionship.
About: I have such a passion for animals and for doing something I love and care about. I am a fur lover who thinks that every animal deserves the best life. I do have a little weakness for giving treats so please let me know any dietary restrictions prior to my arrival. Having animals my entire life I am not hesitant to look or care for other creatures as well, anything from Guinea Pigs to actual pigs. If you have any additional questions about my sitting style or my personal preferences please do hesitate to ask! Hope to hear from you soon Pet care fits seamlessly into my routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I prioritize making sure your pet feels comfortable and loved, whether it’s through regular visits, playtime, or just being there to provide companionship. My flexible schedule allows me to dedicate the time needed to ensure your pets routine stays consistent, so they always feel safe and secure. Safety, trust, and comfort are at the core of my pet care approach. My home is fully pet-proofed, with no exposed wires, harmful plants, or small objects that could be swallowed, ensuring a safe environment for your pet. I’m on a floor level with no stairs, offering easy access, and my fenced-in yard provides a secure space for outdoor play, with a screen door to let in fresh air while keeping your pet safe inside. All doors and windows are securely locked, with childproof locks where needed, to prevent any accidental escapes. I’m trained in pet first aid and CPR, with an emergency kit ready and a plan in place for any unexpected situations. Daily health checks allow me to monitor your pet’s well-being, while regular updates and photos keep you informed, so you can trust that your pet is safe and happy. If transportation is needed, I use pet-friendly, secure carriers or harnesses to ensure safe travel. For homes with multiple pets, I provide separate feeding and resting areas to avoid conflicts and ensure each pet’s comfort. Finally, I maintain a clean and hygienic environment, regularly sanitizing feeding areas, toys, and bedding, so your pet always has a healthy space to relax in.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
