“Kimberly always knocks it out of the park when taking care of my kitties. She takes the time to play and hang out with Smokey and Sherman and they absolutely love her visiting. Smokey is naturally shy and it still amazes me that he comes around for her! She's got a great, caring spirit and is always my go-to caregiver whenever I head out of town. Absolutely wonderful!”

About: Hi! I’m Claire Loria and I have worked with a wide range of dogs! I grew up with dogs and work at a doggie daycare in my home town! I have cared for a wide range of size, age, temperament, and health! I believe every dog is a good dog and deserves the highest quality of care, patience, and love! I can’t wait to meet your dog and give them as much love as their boundaries with a new person allows! I’m a junior in college attending UWS! I play soccer and love to stay active! I’m only taking 2 in person classes leaving most of my day to play, walk, and care for your pet! When caring for pets I like to treat them like people in a way. They have feelings, boundaries, and needs, it’s my job listen to what your pet needs, what they are comfortable with, and what I can do to create the best pet sitting experience I can.
About: I’ve taken care of my brothers pitbull and my mom’s Argentinian dogo on and off for the last six years and I love it! I’ve always loved taking care of animals, in a different life I would have been a vet! I’m new to the are and moved here to be a co manager at a clothing store. I’m hoping to fill my extra time with taking care of furry family members! I work full time as a manager at a clothing store, but have two days off during the week and usually time before or after a shift to help as well. I can only help animals in the home of their own parents, but can follow instructions and will do anything to help and take care of your pet.
About: I have had animals a majority of my life and have almost always had multiple animals in my current home, between my own animals, roommates and friends. I occasionally give a relatives diabetic cat her insulin shots, and my dog is on pain pills, so can administer those types of things if needed. I work full time, mostly in Superior, so most days I can stop home on a lunch break to let the animals out and check on things. However, I do work out on the country on Mondays and Thursdays, so don't have an option to stop home during the afternoon those days. But otherwise, having animals of my own I already plan around being able to feed them and of course give all the loves and potty breaks. I have a cat and a dog, so the house is already set up for animals! I do only have 1 chain set up outside but can easily set up more if needed, as well as space for crates if you use them, and pet gates to give or limit access to certain parts of the house.
“Sav came to my rescue when I needed care for my 9yo Newfie following an unexpected health event of my father and sudden change in plans. Knowing my pup would receive high quality compassionate care allowed me to focus on my out of state family. Sav was responsive, attentive to detail, in tune with my senior pup’s needs, and her exceptional service brought me calm+confidence. I’m excited to have found a dependable new care giver that I can look to for future needs.”

“Thank you soooooo much, Liz, for sitting with Patches. Not once did I have to worry about Patches!! Thank you for being able to add more time to your schedule without hesitation. YOU ARE THE BEST!!!”

“Christina came through for us in a pinch sight unseen! SUPER professional and made our “kids” a priority. Christina took the extra time to talk with us and ask lots of questions so she could give the best care possible. We will DEFINITELY call upon Christina again & look forward to a lasting relationship with our pooches!”

About: Many pets do well with a set schedule and I am someone who thrives on routine. My ability to stick to a schedule while maintaining fun engagement creates quality care. Im currently working part time and a part time college student. I always have monday and wednesdays off and every other weekend. Other days/nights I likely will be available to sit. Send me a message and we can discuss more! In my home every morning I clean my cats litter box, apply his medication, clean his water bowl and give him his wet and dry food. My cat is leash trained so we go on walks outside frequently. If there is any mess from my pets or clients pets I promptly clean it up as I think a clean environment promotes a happy animal.

About: Hi my names Eva, I have lived with dogs my entire life (mainly German Shepherds). I regularly go hiking, and I walk at least 4 miles everyday. I worked at a pet store for 3 years, and am dedicated to giving pets the best care possible. I am currently going to college, and I have a part time job. In between classes and on days I have off I will be able to stop by to take care of your pets and walk them. About: Hi there! My name is Olivia but I go by Liv for short. For the past 5 years I have taken care of and housesat animals including cats, puppies, mature dogs and senior dogs. In addition to this, I am also a runner. I am able to take your high energy pups on runs if that’s something you’re interested in! I have two cats myself and they are the best. I wouldn’t say I’m either a cat or dog person because of how much love I hold for the both of them. I grew up with two big friendly dogs, they were the best. I’d love the opportunity to meet new furry friends and their owners along the way! I’m currently a full time student at Lake Superior College and I live around East End Duluth. Taking care of pets falls into my daily routine! Between my lovely kitties and friends pets. I am respectful of one’s home. Taking care of your pet is my priority and nothing else. If roles were swapped I would want a pet caretaker/sitter to be respectful and communicative. So, that is an atmosphere I’m looking to provide to clients.
About: I simply adore animals! I will provide loving, playful, patient, high quality care that will leave your fur babies begging for more! I am able to administer medications and general care as specified. I also offer nail/claw trims for dogs and cats for $20. Just check the bathing/grooming box. I prioritize play, so even drop ins will get plenty of entertainment! Supervised puzzle feeds, or playing with favorite toys, or whatever pops up in the moment. Pup-led play is usually the most fun! My schedule is fairly open most of the time, but I am going to be starting trade school to become a barefoot specialist for equines sometime in 2026. I need a flexible work schedule so I can trim my case study horses, and the horses I already trim for a friend. - REGARDING OVERNIGHT STAYS! My rates are for ONE 12 hr overnight visit. If you need me for consecutive nights with drop ins during the day, my rates increase to cover each drop in. Walks, nail trims, daily brushing are also an additional cost. These additional charges will be discounted, not my full rate. Let's discuss it 😃 My kitties and I enjoy a peaceful life out in the country. We're new to it, and it's not our house, so I am not currently offering boarding or doggy daycare. I am incredibly respectful of others' spaces. I follow the 'leave no trace' hiking guideline into clients' homes! I respect privacy and will never invite strangers in or take photos for any other reason than to update you, the owner.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
