About: I have taken care of dogs my entire life. My family has always had multiple dogs in our home and a house isn’t a home without a dog. For years I have cared for friends and family dogs while they were either at work or vacation. Now that I am retired I have a lot more time to give helping others who need support to care for their dog. I am available all hours of the day and night. I can pick up dogs or they can be brought to my home. I am semi retired and this allows me lots of flexibility in my schedule. I have a fenced in yard that backs up to conservation land that I use to exercise my own dogs. If allowed by owner, walks on the beach at low tide is a favorite activity for our dogs. During the summers I walk the many trails this area has to offer, many with ponds the dogs love to swim in.

“If you're like me trusting someone to watch over your fur babies when you have to be out of town is one of the biggest challenges to having pets. In the past it has meant that I've been quick to cancel plans and have missed out on a number of special days and events of family and friends. But recently things have changed for me when it comes to my ability to travel because I now have someone I trust to watch my cats when I'll be away. Lara has been a life saver in this regard and it gives me such a sense of security to know they are under her care and that I don't have to always say sorry I can't go. You also never know when something could come up health wise with a family member and having that peace of mind that my cats are extremely well cared for is something that's hard to put into words. Lara sends me photos of the cats and keeps me updated as to how they are all doing so I don't worry about them. She absolutely adores animals and provides for them top notch care and attention so they don't feel lonely in my absence. She asks the important questions so nothing is just left up to chance and she is extremely detail oriented in her dedicated approach to pet care. I highly recommend Lara if you are looking for someone to care for your fur babies like I was.”

Taigh was a lifesaver - he responded immediately to my last-minute request for help to watch our little dog and stay at our house for the long weekend. He took great care of both the dog and our house, kept us posted as to our dog's goings on, and even had his mom check in on the dog when he was going to be at work for a long stint. We really appreciated the photos and texts with updates, as well as with his stripping the bed and washing the sheets. We would definitely recommend Taigh and plan to use him again for future pet/house sitting needs.
