Jenny was great! This was my first time using Rover. Jenny did an hour walk with my boxer and she was really good at communicating and sent some pictures. I trust Jenny and will definitely be going back.

Melissa and Buster have made it very easy for me to recoup from a broken ankle by walking Penny three times a day for the last month plus. Penny absolutely adores them and is always anxious to go on her walks. They love her as much as she loves them with lots of kisses and hugs. I will definitely call on them in the future and recommend them to anyone who wants caring walkers or sitters.

About: Animals have always been a central part of my life — from growing up around horses and barn cats to caring for beloved family dogs. I have over 30 years of equine experience and have worked in a veterinary clinic as a vet assistant, which means I’m confident providing basic first aid, administering medications, and making sure your dog is safe, healthy, and happy. I have experience working as a vet tech and also worked as zookeeper at the NEW Zoo for a while. Today, I share my home with Luna, our fun-loving dog, and carry with me the experience of caring for our cherished golden doodle for 14 wonderful years. I live on a peaceful horse property with 5 acres of land (there is a safe fenced-in area for dogs away from the horses) where your dog will have plenty of space to run, sniff, and explore — or simply relax in the fresh country air. My goal is to make every dog feel like they’re part of the family, because to me, they truly are. I currently work from home so I am always available to love your pet and take care of their needs! I love taking care of dogs! Your dog will love my 5 acres of open land, plus a fenced yard and secure playpen for safe play. I also have three gentle, dog-friendly horses who keep the atmosphere calm and welcoming. I do have three cats, but they are barn cats and when they see a new dog, they are very, very good at hiding out. I live on a street that is tucked away from the busy road . Inside my house it is very pet friendly and I do have a nice kennel that dogs are able to go in if they need that.

About: I have been dog sitting for over 20 years. Love dogs, and helping them have great experiences. I foster dogs, and volunteer at animal care clinics. I have two of my own pups, and a foster dog. I have schedule flexibility to provide care in your home, and there is a possibly of care in my home if all dogs get along. I have a fenced in potty area, and a huge yard. I strongly believe in positive training, positive reinforcement - I’ve taken training classes with my pups and foster pups in positive training methods and use that with all the dogs I engage with.

I’m so pleased with Katrina and how she cares for and follows directions for Finley and our home. It’s always a nice way to end my work day, knowing that Finley has also enjoyed his full 30 min walks with Katherine. Her doggy report is something good to look forward to reading. She’s trustworthy and timely. Very happy once again, with another contact within Rover.

You can tell that she truly loves dogs and made sure that our pup was comfortable before she left. She is reliable, friendly, and punctual- all qualities that make her a great choice!

I give Kerrie 5 stars because she understands animals and pets, but I also trust her in my home. She always locks up and keeps our priivacy. She texts great photos of our pet so we can see him when we are gone, and she gives details about her care of our pet...even though I didn't request this from her. She comes from a trusting family and I would allow my pet to stay with her also, and will use all her services because she goes above and beyond.

About: I have had pets since I lived with my parents. I've always pretty much had a dog growing up and my husband and I have a Springer now and also a cat! I have experience giving dogs diabetes shots, feeding, walking, picking up after, playing with, and it course cuddling with them. I work full time but enjoy staying busy so evenings, Fridays, and weekends I am free. I don't have any dogs that I won't take care of, I truly love them all-small, medium, and large. Pets are family to me! Thank you, Mallory! I am usually available on weekends and evenings so any care during that time is when I plan to be able to care for them. I have a fenced in yard plus a large yard outside of that where dogs can be walked. I've cared for pets my whole life so I'm very experienced with many breeds. We do have a cat and dog so any dogs staying would have to be friendly to both-they both are good with other dogs!

Meg is amazing!!! She has been a total life saver. I work long hours in the health care field and she has been walking Benny everyday during the week . She comes between 11:00-1:00 everyday. Benny loves her! He is a much happier dog with a way better quality of life. Her training experience has made a difference. I notice he walks better on his leash with me and my son since Meg has been walking him too. I would highly recommend Meg.

About: Growing up, our house always had miniature schnauzers as part of our family. My husband and I both love dogs. Our dog and horse ARE our kids. They give us so much love back and enrich our lives everyday. I've been able to help friends and family with their pets care and exercise. I'm recently retired from the corporate world and look forward to providing care to pets/farm animals. The owners can tend to what needs to be done and be rest assured their pets/animals are being looked after with compassion and a caring heart. I currently am not caring for pets in my home. My dog isn't crazy about sharing his mom(me) with other pets. My dog is ok with other pets/animals but is jealous and butts in

  • 100% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
