“Daran is the best of the best. Mac has such an amazing time with him and I never have to worry about a thing. Daran is also very thoughtful about Mac and gives solid advice and suggestions for helping with our pup. Thank you Daran!”
“Sarah and her family were wonderful with our dog, Rory. It was clear he was getting lots of love and snuggles while we were away. Sarah provided pictures during our trip. We would gladly use Sarah again in the future!”

“Deb's home felt like a home away from home for our dog. He was so happy and comfortable there. Deb and her husband did everything they could to make him and us feel comfortable with his stay. I would highly recommend her to everyone!”

“Alysia and her family are wonderful. They took care of Bruno as of their own. Great communication and accommodated all our needs. She even cooked Bruno’s meals. This is our 2nd time taking her help and will definitely reach out to her for all future needs.”

“Jennifer was amazing. Highly recommend hiring her to watch your pet. Communication was flawless from start to finish, and she was always incredibly quick to respond to my text updates. I loved receiving the photos she sent throughout the weekend, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She truly went above and beyond to make my dog feel at home. She spent time playing fetch—my dog's absolute favorite game—and was highly observant and adaptable when Daisy interacted with her own two dogs, ensuring all the pups felt safe and comfortable. To top it all off, she even sent my dog home with a toy she had fallen in love with during her stay. I will absolutely be booking her again!”

“Larisa was absolutely wonderful! She kept us updated with pictures and texts. Loki had a fantastic time with Daisy and running on the beach and walking through the bogs. I highly recommend Larisa and look forward to using her again.”

About: About Me Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a house full of animals—sometimes five dogs at once, ranging from a St. Bernard to Chihuahuas, along with pot-bellied pigs, macaw parrots, hamsters, bunnies, cats, finches, and plenty more. Needless to say, caring for animals has always been second nature to me! I was also a vet tech in college, which gave me hands-on experience caring for animals and a deeper understanding of their health, safety, and individual needs. Most recently, I became an approved foster home with Sandy Paws, which has been incredibly rewarding. My home currently includes quite the crew: Barbara Ann, my Persian cat; Pearl and Mabel, my two Boston Terriers; Taco, my bearded dragon; and Dunkin, my Polish Dwarf rabbit. I even have a koi pond! When your pet stays with me, their safety comes first. Dogs are on a leash 100% of the time when outside, and our cat never go outdoors. I also have a dedicated, private area where a dog can eat if they prefer to have their own space. I am happy to follow your pup’s exact feeding schedule and will stick closely to your instructions, including meal times, portions, medications, treats, or any other routine that helps them feel comfortable. I also take cleanliness seriously. I have a dedicated pet shower on my lower level, so after a fun stay, I can make sure your pup heads home happy, fresh, clean and squeaky clean! For the safety and comfort of every pet in my home, I do require a meet-and-greet before confirming a stay. This gives me a chance to meet you and your pup, learn about their personality and routine, answer any questions, and make sure everyone feels comfortable. My home is truly a place where animals are loved, cared for and treated like family. I know how difficult it can be to leave your pet with someone else, and my goal is to give you complete peace of mind while they’re with me. It is really the best part of my day, every day! All of my pets are on a schedule that I know like the back of our paws. Upon waking up I take turns letting the dogs outside, feeding them, giving fresh water and then play time. My cat likes to tell me that it is feeding time so I follow her to the dish. I am not fenced so I make sure ALL dogs are 100% leashed when going outside. I have a very large yard for playing and a very private driveway and street to walk them. My house is a safe space for all of the animals to free roam but also have privacy when they need it. The downstairs bathroom has my "pet spa" and then the laundry room is filled with light and a linoleum floor in case any accidents or spills happen. I can feed the animal in there as well. If I am visiting your fur baby in your home, I will treat your house with as much love and respect as I do my own.
“Anna was great taking care of our boys and she was very accommodating to our schedule. She communicated promptly about any concerns and made sure to always send updates. My dogs loved their stay with Anna!”

I am luckily they share my love for animals. I am a long time U.S. resident (since 2007), and have been raised in Germany. “These guys are great. They took great care of my Murmaid and sent pics and updates and everything was great. My pup is high energy so when she gets in The vehicle and immediately takes a nap I know they did a good job!! Thank you!!”

“Hannah was so accommodating and patient for my anxious chihuahua mix. She had plenty of supplies on hand and other extras to make sure my dog felt comfortable. Her home was clean, tidy, and welcoming. Hannah’s great with sending photos and communicating quickly. I would love to book her again in the future, and I absolutely recommend using her services for your next pup sitter! :)”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - South Carver
Daran was great. His home, yard and open areas were a perfect fit for Brody. He took care of Brody as if he was part of his family. Brody is a very active puppy in constant motion. He was taken on walks, swimming in the pond and lots of ball playing. He loved his 2 weeks of time with Daran and was vey happy when picked up. Daran sent us pictures everyday which showed all the wonderful things he did with Brody. Highly recommend Daran!
Daran has been a blessing caring for Chip. Daran provided picture, photo and detailed updates throughout our trip. Any concerns that arose Daran was quick to ask and even went as far as checking in with the vet when a medical concern came up. Daran kept Chip active and enjoying the beautiful nature around him. We added the pickup and drop off as our flight schedule was very early and late, this was a HUGE help for our family. We will 100% be booking with Daran again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their South Carver home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your South Carver.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your South Carver sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
