Brittney was punctual and provided updates and photos to put me at ease for my dog’s first walk with her. He enjoyed his time with her and was one tired pup. Will definitely recommend Brittney to other people!

About: Animals are too good for humankind, so they should be treated like absolute royalty. I grew up with cats and had a small but successful dog-walking and pet-sitting business in my neighborhood growing up. I am more than happy to treat your pet as if they were my own <3 I currently work full time in Lake George and I'm looking for some additional income, and what better way to do that than to care for your pets! To make sure your pet feels as comfortable as possible while you are away, I would love to learn their typical routine at home and their interests!

About: I have loved taking care of dogs my entire life. I am lucky enough to be able to help with my five grand dogs. All very different ages and personalities. I’m currently semi retired and looking forward to doing something that I love. Dogs have always been a part of my life and even when we had five little kids in the house, I knew we still needed a dog to add more love and craziness. Now those kids have dogs and I really enjoy being a big part of their life and care. Best “non paying” job ever. I'd welcome the opportunity to help with you with your pups and make new friends. I would be happy to come to your home and help in any way I can. Anything from sitting with, taking out, walking, running, or just playing playing with your pups. I have experience taking care of multiple dogs at once.

About: I’m Jess and I’m a full time programmer looking to spend time with dogs! I have had dogs all my life including small and large (150lbs!!) I currently own 2 golden retrievers who are cared for while I’m away. Since I work fully remote and am very flexible, I decided I want to provide dogs or cats care. If there are specifics to your pet, I promise to follow them to the T. Dogs truly are a mans best friend and I want to keep them in my company! I work full time and I can care for dogs in the morning and evening. I can do an occasional walk during my lunch. I also work from home and there is some flexibility around when I can do that. I love building connections with dogs. I know that it is probably super scary for them to have a stranger come into their home. I do not push dogs past their comfort zones. I let them warm up to me on their own schedule.

About: I’ve been pet sitting through Rover for over a year, and I’ve been fortunate to earn the trust of many wonderful pet owners. In addition to my Rover experience, I’ve spent years caring for dogs for family and friends, becoming the person they rely on when they need someone dependable. I’ve cared for my sister’s diabetic dog, carefully following medication and feeding schedules, and I’ve looked after my in-laws’ dogs while they were away, making sure they received plenty of exercise, attention, and love. I’m calm, reliable, and treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or needs extra medical care, you can feel confident knowing they’ll be safe, comfortable, and well cared for with me. Pet care is something I genuinely enjoy, and while I’m currently between full-time positions, I’m taking advantage of this time to offer full-time pet care availability to families in the area. ❤️ Whether your pet needs walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, medication administration, overnight care, or simply some extra companionship, I’m happy to help! I provide dependable, personalized care based on each pet’s individual routine and needs. 📍 Areas I’m focusing on: • Granville • Hartford • Glens Falls • Hudson Falls • Nearby Vermont communities • Surrounding areas My availability will be full-time for now while I continue looking for my next full-time job, so this is a great opportunity for anyone who has been looking for a reliable pet sitter or someone to help with regular walks and drop-ins. I truly enjoy getting to know each pet and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for while their people are away. 🐶🐱🐾 📩 Message me if you’re looking for pet care or would like to set up a meet & greet! When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow any instructions closely—whether it’s feeding times, walks, medications, or playtime—and make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I give them plenty of attention, keep their space clean, and send updates so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands. My goal is to treat your home with respect and your pet like family

About: As a kid I was taught responsibility by caring for our horses, cats, dogs, birds, fish and guinea pigs. I’ve had pets all my life! My mom’s cat almost died of a bacterial infection in her mouth and I’ve helped administer antibiotics to her until she got better. I had a cat who had kidney disease and needed to have IV fluids every week. My other cat had to be mouth fed with a syringe as well as monitored via thermometer up his butt. I have house and pet sit for friends and family that have multiple pets, most recently for a friend that had 6 dogs of all sizes! I am an active individual so walking will be a treat for them and me! :) I have given dogs and cats baths and also cared for dogs in heat. I have a very open and wide range of availability and I am available most days, including weekends and holidays as I rarely ever go out of town. It would be great to develop some long term relationships with new pets and their owners! Repeats are always great but not expected. I will do what I can to work with your schedule and the needs of you and your fur child. I will do my best to maintain consistency and high-level care when it comes to your pet. Each pet is different and I try to get to know each one individually in order to gain their trust and yours and provide the best care possible. Often times, I will send pictures to the pet owner, especially if it is a new client or a pet owner is out of town for an extended amount of time. I am easily reachable and try to communicate clearly about wants, needs, and scheduling. I prefer to do a meet and greet prior to providing a service, but it is not mandatory, especially for last minute bookings! We have a small yard in front and neighbors that will walk their dogs but they are all on leashes and well behaved. We live in a newer and safe community and I often take my dog for a walk around the neighborhood. There is a small park down the street which is nice too. We also have a fenced in backyard which can be seen from the inside of the house or the porch. We live in a one story house, but there are steps from the porch to the yard outback. My husband lives with me and has also grown up with cats and dogs. We currently have one male cat Santiago who gets along great with our male Chihuahua Juan Pablo and also got along great with my former senior Maine coon cat. He is a bit weary of strangers at first, but he will just hide until he gets to know you a bit and then you won’t be able to get him off of your lap. We have a gate in between the kitchen and the rest of the house so that the Chihuahua can have free rain to walk around and not have to be in his cage when we are not home. In the event that we have another animal in the house we can keep the Chihuahua in his cage. We also have two bedrooms and two baths that can be used to separate animals. The Chihuahua is very friendly and gets along great with the cat. He is also a bit skittish at first with strangers but once he gets to know you all he wants to do is give you kisses. He is very non-aggressive and barely ever barks. He is also very friendly. I feed my cat both wet and dry food twice a day in his food dish and he has water out constantly. I feed the dog twice a day, sometimes dry food, and sometimes refrigerated dog food. I let the dog out several times a day and we go for a daily walk as well. I clean the kitty litter box once a day. I snuggle and cuddle with both of them as much as possible, and play fetch with the dog at various points throughout the day.

About: I have been a Vet assistant for almost 2 years and on the road to becoming a technician. I have also taken a 2 year small animal science program. I am fear free certified along with CPR in animals. I have a bunch of experience working with animals, and am comfortable giving medication or whatever care they may need! Im available most weekends and a couple weekdays to take care of your pets. I’m also available most nights after work to squeeze in some visits as well! I make sure the pet is as comfortable as I am. If the pet isn't comfortable then it won't be a good experience for me or them.

She is always there for me even in short notice. I am extremely greatful for her attentive care, passion for animals and over all kind spirit. Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your South Argyle. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in South Argyle.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in South Argyle. On Rover:

  • 95% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
