About: Family of longtime animal lovers. We have several large indoor kennels as needed as well as a very large outside dog run. Our pack of 3 outside dogs are extremely social and loving towards new friends and love to spend the day outside with anyone that wants to play. Inside we have a senior lap dog that is a wonderful puppy nanny playmate and babysitter. There is someone at the house almost all the time so supervision of playtime and potty time isn't an issue. With 4 dogs, they are my routine, no need to "fit them in". I love all things dog and puppies. We walk and take out potty on demand. We have a large dog run with 3 outside dogs, we have multible indoor crates, and comfy couches for inside dogs as well as an inside dog to play with.
“Ryan continues to be my go-to cat-sitter. I have booked him for drop-in visits many times over the last months because of some unexpected travel I needed to do. He is responsive, keeps me updated and my cat loves spending time with him.”

About: I have spent 10 years volunteering with the SPCA in Texas. I have multiple animals throughout my life. I was the go-to dog sitter for multiple families. I currently have dogs ranging from 9 lbs to 180 lbs and from 6 years to 14 years old. Well equipped to watch any and all animals, types and sizes. Even comfortable around lizards and rabbits. I have wide open availability for the next few months, now until the beginning of June, minus medical school graduation. I am using this opportunity to raise funds for my move to residency, so am willing to work with my clients. Caring for pets in a client's home while treating them like my own...spoiled and happy! Pet snuggles lead to happy people. Animals are great stress relievers, so spending time with yours will give me happy feelings.
“Adabelle was great! She checked in on our two Goldens while we were on a fishing charter and gave them some exercise and love while we were gone. She was timely, reliable, and great to work with! Thanks Adabelle!”

About: I have professional experience working at a dog resort in Arizona, where I learned the importance of structured care, behavior awareness, and creating a safe and positive environment for dogs of all temperaments. After moving to Alaska, I started Bubs Pups, and for the past 3 years I’ve been providing pet care for the Kenai Peninsula. Over time, I have built a strong group of regulars for our doggy daycare, which has been really rewarding and speaks to the trust our clients place in us. I focus on making sure each dog feels comfortable, active, and cared for just like they are at home. During their stay, dogs get plenty of outdoor time and exercise throughout the day (9 AM–10 PM). I also work on simple daily training and reinforcement with the dogs in my care to help improve behavior and manners. Communication is also a big priority for me. I provide regular updates, which include photos and videos, so owners can see how their pets are doing and feel connected while they’re away. I make sure clients are always informed with fast and clear communication throughout the stay. Most importantly, I treat every dog like my own. I pay attention to their individual needs, and I want both pets and owners to feel completely at ease. If a client isn’t happy, I’m not happy! It's really as simple as that. I am available for pet care daily from 9 AM to 10 PM, including weekends and holidays. This is a full-time commitment, and I maintain a consistent, reliable schedule year-round so owners can depend on me whenever they need care. I operate every day of the week and prioritize keeping dogs active, engaged, and comfortable throughout their stay. Our goal is to make sure each dog has attention and plenty of time outside during the day. I offer both doggy daycare and boarding, providing flexible care options based on each dog’s needs and each owner’s preference. Dogs are welcome in my home environment and also have access to multiple spaces depending on what best suits each dog’s comfort level, routine, and behavior. This allows me to adjust care on an individual basis rather than a 'one-size-fits-all' setup. I have a large fenced yard where dogs can safely socialize, play, and stay active throughout the day under supervision. For dogs that prefer quieter environments, I am able to separate them into other areas to ensure they feel more secure and stress-free. Cleanliness is a top priority in all of my spaces. I maintain a consistently clean and sanitary environment to ensure the health and safety of every dog in my care. I also focus heavily on socialization, positive interaction, and routine. Dogs are introduced and grouped appropriately based on temperament, energy level, and owner preferences. If requested, I also provide individual walks to ensure dogs get exercise and stimulation. I closely follow each owner’s instructions and preferences to make sure every dog is cared for exactly how they need to be. My goal is to provide a safe, structured, and comfortable environment where dogs can feel at home while receiving personalized care.
About: I have work experience/certificates with dog training and kennel care as well as some veterinary experience for all kinds of animals and procedures. I’m super laid back and have lots of free time to care for everyone’s pets! I work short 4 hour shifts Tuesday-Saturday but other than that I can be wherever I need to be! I’ll have to be home sometimes to care for my dog child too but he’s easy! I’m an extremely quiet, respectful individual. Your home and pets will be better taken care of then my own. Any requests I’ll do my best to accommodate!
About: Hello! We are a family of four. My husband and myself have two children. We now have a 2 year old black lab, Lionhead rabbit, fish and pet crabs. We had three very loved dogs the last 12 years. They all passed of old age. We had a German Shepherd, a Yorkshire Terrier and a Weenie Dog ( my profile photo) Adults would always be present in the household and young children would never be unsupervised. If client preferred their animal was not handled by a child that could be arranged. Between my husband and myself we have experience with dogs, cats, parrots, parakeets, snakes, fish, rabbits, hamsters, crabs, pigs and chickens. We are willing to take exotic pets. I worked at a doggy day care in Hawaii while going to college. It was such a fun job and taught me a lot about the business. It taught me things I want to do as well as don't want to do when providing my own services. I have experience with senior and geriatric dogs as our dogs required medication, syringes and wound care at the end of their lives. Right now I only provide animal daycare and short term pet boarding. I can do drop ins on occasion if the schedule allows. We are not set up like a typical kennel. Your animal will have the run of the house and therefore must be fully house trained and okay in a kennel at night if not potty trained or a chewer. We converted our office into a doggy room. No children are allowed in this room so if your pup needs some quiet time to listen to piano music or just relax it’s a nice quiet spot for them to go, although most end up on my bed for some reason :) We do NOT have a fenced yard but we have a smaller fenced off area for potty and outdoor breaks. We have a little over 5 acres on a relatively quiet cul-de-sac. I typically prefer to keep the animal leashed for the first few hours upon arrival so that I can determine whether or not it is safe to let he or she off leash for potty and playtime. If the owner requests that the animal remain leashed the entire time that is perfectly fine. We have a great neighborhood for walking. I would need to know if your dog is okay around other dogs as we may encounter other pets a long the walk. If that will be an issue we can remain on our 5 acre property for fun and exercise. I am home full time unless running errands or taking kids to school. Dogs can be let out to potty as mush as needed. I typically take them out once an hour. We have a 10 x 30 fenced potty area outside downstairs. Because of this, I typically ask if a dog is OK with stairs, but I have been known to carry dogs up to 40 pounds up and down the stairs.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
