“Our cat has some anxiety due to health issues. I have boarded him in the past, and he refuses to eat. I thought I would try rover with a daily drop in visit. The cat did great and ate everyday and was much happier being in his own environment. Stephanie kept us updated on the visits and the cat did great. I would highly recommend Stephanie, and I will definitely book her again when needed! Thank You”

About: I have had animals my whole life. They are the most precious things to me. All of my pets have exceeded the average life span and were extremely well cared for. I promise to care for your animals as if they were my own. I am a mom of 2, a 10 year old boy and 7 year old girl. I am currently staying home with them for the summer and want a part time job doing something I love and am passionate about. I love to walk dogs, play with them, feed them, can give them medications, clean up after them, can do some grooming. I also love cats, and will play with them, give them plenty of cuddles, clean litter boxes, etc.

“I have been using Rover for quite sometime and I can say without a doubt that Melinda K is the best of the best. Timely -✔️ Attention to detail -✔️ Communication-✔️ Above and beyond-✔️”

About: If hanging out with animals could be my career, I would be set for life. Honestly, I prefer animals to most people so me and your fur baby are going to have a great time hanging out while you are gone. I commute into downtown Columbia for work but live in Prosperity. I've never met an animal that I didn't love... I've cared for cats, dogs, rats, frogs, fish, turtles, rabbits, guinea pigs, horses, chickens, ducks and other birds for many years and I enjoy all types and breeds. I volunteer with kitten rescue and have experience with advanced care such as medications, injections, IV fluids. In the past I have been efficient with communication and detail to owners when they are away because I know how difficult it can be to leave your furbaby at home and put your trust in a pet sitter. I'm willing to meet your pet at whatever level they are at... so active or elderly- I will treat them as my own! Your pets will be my priority and I will work around their schedule. I am available for morning check ins, lunch check ins, evening check ins, and overnights. We have every pet's dream yard with over an acre of property in a quiet, rural neighborhood in Prosperity SC and all the accommodations your pets could want.

About: “With over 10 years of experience caring for pets of all kinds, I bring a deep understanding of animal behavior, health, and needs to ensure your furry friends receive the best possible care. My skills include administering medication, handling special dietary requirements, providing engaging playtime, and offering plenty of affection to keep pets happy and stress-free. Whether it’s daily walks, grooming, or simply companionship, I’m committed to creating a safe and loving environment for your pets while you’re away!” Pet care is a central part of my daily routine. I plan my day around timely feedings, walks, playtime, and any special needs, ensuring each pet receives personalized attention. This consistent care keeps pets happy, healthy, and strengthens our bond. When caring for pets, safety, trust, and comfort are my top priorities, whether in my home or yours. In my home: I ensure a pet-friendly, secure environment with no hazardous materials or escape routes. Pets have access to clean water, cozy resting spots, and safe play areas. I maintain a consistent routine, provide supervision, and keep stress low by creating a calm and welcoming space. In your home: I respect your pet’s routine and ensure their environment remains familiar and secure. I follow any specific instructions regarding feeding, medication, or care, and maintain communication for your peace of mind. I always leave your home as clean and tidy as I found it. With my approach, pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away.

Gwen K.
“Gwen definately has a passion for dogs. She has one dog of her own and also fosters dogs in her home. She is very good with teaching them them how to behave correctly both in the household and around other dogs. I have seen her do wonders with dogs that she cares for. They come to her house with no training at all and are well behaved dogs after spending time with Gwen. I would recommend Gwen as a caregiver to any dog. Nothing but a positive, loving dog person. ”

Melody S.
“Melody has been watching our dog, Ollie, now for over a year when we go out of town. Ollie has some anxiety and medical conditions and she handles these needs and him with the utmost care and kindness. He enjoys seeing her and I feel comfortable going on a trip knowing he is in Mel’s hands when we are gone. She is prompt and dependable and you can tell that she genuinely has an affinity for Ollie and all animals.”

Abigail B.
“Abigail is a wonderful and sweet person. When she moved to Texas, she had to find a home for her dog because he was too big for the apartment regulations. After several in depth talks, I finally purchased him from her so she would know that I was giving him a good home. For the past year, we have kept in contact so she can see pictures & updates about him. Her goal is to be a veterinarian and I believe from the bottom of my heart that she will be a good one. Abigail will be one of your best dog sitters.”

Kate P.
