“Affable, whip-smart, and empathetic, Healy is the kind of person you want to watch your house and pets. Being that she’s in vet school, she is deeply attuned to animals and their needs. She took great care of our sweet girl (and even alerted us to a potential issue to get checked with our vet). Healy sent photos of our cat, checked in daily, collected our mail, and took care of our plants. And our apartment looked IMMACULATE when we retired. Healy is truly a gem. TL;DR: Healy > any other housesitter”

About: I grew up in a household full of cats and dogs. As one of the older children in the house it was part of my chores to take care of the animals. I have 2 of my own cats now and love to spend time with and love on them. I also am the go to for most of my friends for watching their dogs while they are away. I currently work as a server 3-4 days a week. I work 6 hour shifts that can vary from morning or night. I do have a flexible schedule otherwise. If I am unavailable due to work, my boyfriend is available and more than willing to assist since we live together. Since I have cats care is a bit easier. I keep them fed and with a flowing water system. I make sure to keep the litter box clean and am very gentle with them. With other people its all about your schedule and how you care for your pet. I am willing to fill whatever shoes needed.

“What a caring and loving sitter”

About: Hi! I’m home for the summer and excited to spend time doing something I love, caring for animals. I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, and I recently lost my own, which reminded me just how much animals mean to me. While I don’t have time for a full-time pet right now, I still stay involved by volunteering every week at a local animal shelter and helping care for the cat I live with at school. I also worked as a vet assistant for a year, so I’m experienced with pets of all ages and temperaments. Whether it’s dogs, cats, or anything in between, I’ll treat your pet with the same love and care I gave my own. I’m currently taking an online summer course with a very flexible schedule, so I’m available throughout the summer for pet sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits. Since I’m not working right now, I have plenty of time to give your pet the attention and care they deserve. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or overnight stays, I’m happy to help however I can! In your home, I follow your pet’s routine closely, feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions, so they stay comfortable and happy while you’re away. I make sure they get plenty of attention and care!

I have little gremlins of my own, but that doesn't mean I'll prioritize yours any less. I can work in these timeliness almost always. This will change soon and I will adjust when it does :) Mondays: 12:15-3:40pm 10:30pm-8am Tuesdays: 12:15-2:30pm 7pm-8am Wednesdays: 12:15-3:40 10:30pm-8am Thursdays: 12:15-2:30pm 6:15pm-8am Fridays: 2:30pm through the night Saturdays: 9am-1pm Sundays: ask and I can let you know. If it's more than two weeks in advanced I can likely adjust my schedule. I am always respectful of boundaries both that you have and that your pet has. I like to spend extra time on walks or sitting with my clients fur babies to make sure they are comfortable and having a fun time with me. If they seem unsure I dont push them, I give them a little space. For eating I always assure if there's more than one animal they eat apart from each other to ensure no one gets too possessive over their food. Safe, comfortable, and fun are all important when thinking of your pet.

About: We LOVE dogs! My husband and I are experienced dog owners and caretakers, with experience spanning 15-20 years between the both of us. We will love your furbaby like they’re our own and they’ll leave our care happy and tired. We currently have two loves of our own named Butters (7 year old chocolate lab) and Poppy (1 year old foxhound mix) so we know how to handle dogs of all sizes. We have a large fenced in rear yard for playtime and a wonderful neighborhood to walk in. We are also centrally located in Fredericksburg so if your pup needs to go anywhere, we’ve got you covered! We do have small children so only dogs good with small kids can be accepted. We also do prefer a meet and greet with your pup before their stay with us.

About: Hi there! My name is Gillian, and I have been taking care of a variety of animals all my life. I've owned dogs, cats, horses, pigs, chickens, and roosters! I love all animals and have an extraordinary talent communicating with them. I have been a dog and cat groomer, and a horse trainer. I am a trainer at heart! I will make sure your furry friend has everything they need, all the exercise and love they could ask for. I exercise my own dog for a minimum of two hours a day. We go to parks, play frisbee, go to the dog park, and go for long hikes! I work on a private 8,000 acre horse ranch, where I can bring dogs anytime to hike. It is literally dog heaven. I also have a nice backyard to play in. I know how hard it is to leave your pet, but you can rest assured I will do everything I can to make sure they have a wonderful and stress free stay! I have a pretty open schedule this time of year. My job is mostly seasonal, and I get to slow down in the winter time. That leaves me open for taking care of dog clients! Yay! I am more than happy to come stay at your home or I can bring them to mine! Either way we’re going for walks! Haha

“Highly recommended!!! Olivia was great with our 3 pit babies. She was there when she said she’d be, gave them their meds and lots of cuddles. She showed great patience with our anxious and easily overstimulated one. We got pics of them all in a big puppy pile.”

Shyan H.
“Shyan is an amazing pet sitter and has a lot of experience with all different kinds of animals, I’ll always trust my kitty Bell to be in her care. No one else I’ve found has ever come close to her attention to detail, my Bell is normally not very good with strangers but with Shyan it was like she met a new member of the family.”
