“Top of the charts, look no farther, this is your guy for any service he provides. We will 100% work with Alan again and will recommend him to our family/friends that could use his services. Alan is super professional, always on-time and did right by our dog. Alan walked our dog 2-3 times a week over a period of a few months. Over the months that passed, he was always flexible if needed on my end, was quick to respond to messages and is just a good person. Our dog can overheat pretty easy and one day while waiting for our boy to get back I saw Alan carrying him in his arms up the street. He didnt have to do what he did, but he forever indebted himself to us due to that act of profound kindness. Thank you my friend for helping take care of our boy, all the best to you!!”

“Ronda was great and went above and beyond. We needed to book last minute, and she did a meet and greet the same day. Ronda was thorough which put our minds at ease that our baby was well looked after.”

“Laura is such a kind, animal loving person! She is excellent at communicating and so wonderful with my dogs. They are excited when she comes over to walk them. Highly recommend her!”

About: Hi, my name is Amelia Reedy. I have been taking care of dogs all my life, whether it be for neighbors or family, and have experience with all sizes of furry friends. Currently within my home, I take care of my two middle-aged dogs. I also often take care of my grandmother’s senior chocolate lab. My childhood pet whom my family had for 16 years, Sierra, was an Australian Cattle Dog with lots of energy, so I am also quite experienced with active pups that require considerable amounts of exercise. Overall, my goal is take care of your companions in a manner that will keep both them and you as happy and comfortable as possible! I am currently enrolled at Virginia Commonwealth University, so I am a seasonal sitter for the summer months and will be available during breaks as well. I am free and flexible to watch dogs each day of the week. Sunday evenings are the only times which I am unavailable to do so. I am available to care of your pet at your home, as I have three dogs of my own in my home that are sometimes unpredictable with new dogs.

“Cat was fantastic! Took great care of my dog and was very responsive and informative. She even came ahead of time and did a meet and greet to make sure my dog was comfortable with her. I will definitely be booking again!”

About: I have always had a love for animals, but it was not until 18 years ago that I began to understand the difference between simply liking dogs and having a dog become part of your life. Buddy, a lab/husky mix that we adopted when he and our first child were both 10 months old, was a patient teacher for me and a gentle companion for all four of my children. Although we lost Buddy at age eleven to chronic Lyme disease, we have since adopted three other mixed breed dogs. All three of these dogs (Isaac, Pippin and Mowgli) are currently living with us, a family of six with children whose ages range from 11 to 19 and two cats (Ivy and Ginger). With each new dog that comes into our family, we learn more about breeds, behavior, training, and the differences in their personalities. Our dogs live WITH us, sleep in our beds, and even get away with some occasional begging at the table. They are LOVED and cared for by everyone in the house. When the time comes when all of us must be away from home for long periods of time (like vacation) my pet sitter is my best friend. I could not possibly enjoy being away if I had any doubts about them being well cared for. That is the service I would offer to my clients: peace of mind.

About: Hello! My name is Amanda and I LOVE animals of all shapes and sizes. I have previously worked in animal medical centers as a kennel and doggy day care attendant. This role gave me a lot of experience in taking care of many pets at once, including feeding and watering on a schedule, walks and play time, and administering medication. I have been a pet sitter for friends and family ever since I was a teenager and grew up with animals as part of my family. I am very loving, patient, and compassionate towards animals. I know traveling can be stressful for pet owners (I have a dog of own) so I promise to give your pet the care they deserve, whether it be taking them on walks or just hanging out and giving them cuddles. I look forward to meeting your sweet fur baby! I am currently working part time, so I will have ample time to spend with your pet. I available Monday and Tuesday mornings and late afternoon/evenings. I am completely available Wednesday through Sunday at anytime. If you chose to board your pet at my home, I have a fenced in back yard and two friendly pets of my own (cat and dog) to keep your fur baby company. I live within walking distance to an awesome dog park. I can provide crating for your pet, as well. If you opt to keep your pet at your house, I have transportation and can absolutely spend time with your pet in the comfort of their own home and make sure all of their needs are met.

About: I have been around dogs my whole life. They truly are a man’s bestfriend. At home I have a beautiful white lab, he is 95lbs of pure love thinking he’s a lapdog. I also have a King Charles Cavalier that is the princess of the house. She is so happy and spunky and keeps us all laughing. Previously I have owned Cocker Spaniels, other Labs and a Maltese. I started dogsitting when I was 11 years old. I had just arrived at my grandparents house and I saw this little dog wandering around and he ran right to me and I saw the owner walking towards me up the road. The puppy let me pick him up and we walked all the way to the owner. He and his wife were pilots so whenever they were flying I was working and I was ecstatic to have my first job looking after their two dogs. Through the years I’ve done Bathing, walks, feeding, medications, shots , vet trips, etc. I truly love dogs and seeing them happy, and giving their families peace of mind that their beloved pups will be well loved while they are gone. I send texts and pictures of each visit and keep in communication with the family. If you choose to trust me with your four legged family member I guarantee they will be well taken care of and loved. I am a teacher so I have Summers to offer. My Schedule throughout the school year fills up so book in advance because I also do tutoring, and nannying throughout the week. I would love to meet you and your pup. Just reach out! I will not be able to have any dogs in my home personally because of home owner restrictions. In the clients home I would provide feelings, walks, medication, or whatever else the puppy would need. If there is a history of dogfights or biting I am not the person for you.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and done training and dog walking in a shelter as a volunteer. I love getting dogs outside and letting them run around. I have been hiking with my dog for his entire life and was able to train him on the leash and off the leash to allow us to have the freedom to run free and the ability to get him on the leash and behave around other dogs and people on the road and on the trails. I have been dog sitting for the last 8 years and love spending time with all the pups. I can’t wait to take care of animals and give them the necessary play time and exercise when you’re not there to. I keep my schedule updated to where I am unavailable when I work to allow for your pets to get the utmost care. However I am willing to work with you around my work schedule! I have experience with reactive dogs and I will keep your dog safe and on a leash unless in a fenced in yard. I prefer staying at the dogs home to help them stay comfortable

I have a soft spot for senior cats and dogs, and it's a joy to provide them with comfort. I especially love working with shy cats who don't like strangers! Nothing is more fulfilling than doting on them and providing relief for their caring owners! I have an open schedule all week, and can care for your pets any time of day, or for an extended period of time. My availability is very flexible and I'm always eager to work around everyone's schedule so your babies have the care and attention they deserve! Your pets will be safe and at ease with me. I'm respectful of their emotions and boundaries, and ensure that they know I'm only there to dote on them. Even though their parents are away, I do everything in my power to ensure they are safe, healthy, and happy.

About: I am the owner of Pets and Pastures Pet Care, LLC. I’ve been pet sitting for over 10 years and have experience caring for a wide variety of animals including dogs, cats, turtles, and fish. Friends and neighbors have always trusted me to look after their pets while they're away, knowing they'll be in good hands. Currently, I live on a farm with four horses, four dogs, five cats, one pig, and chickens, so I’m very comfortable around animals of all kinds. I provide services in Castleton, Amissville, Rixeyville, Little Washington, Warrenton, and Culpeper. I am willing to travel to other towns. Your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. I take the time to understand each animal’s unique needs and personality to ensure they feel safe, happy, and well-cared for in your absence. I offer flexible pet sitting services, including multiple daily drop-ins or full-time, 24/7 care if your pet prefers having company around the clock. I’ll also provide daily photo updates so you can stay connected with your fur baby while you're away. I am negotiable with prices. I'm currently pet and house sitting full-time so I’m likely to be available when you need me. I occasionally manage multiple homes at once, so scheduling is usually not a problem. I carefully follow all instructions when caring for pets to ensure they are comfortable and happy while their owner is away. My goal is to give pet owners peace of mind so they can fully enjoy their vacation. I always make sure pets receive plenty of attention, are well cared for, fed on time, and given any necessary medications.

About: I've cared for puppies, poodles, a parakeet, pretty black labs, and purrrfect kitties. I loved them all like they were my family. Would love to do the same for you. I'm currently semi- retired so I will have time to take your fur babies for a walk and interact with them. They will be happy when you get home! I'm a stickler for making sure your pet pal has water, food, and treats. I can bath your pet if needed. Walking your pet will not be hurried, so your pet can stop and smell the roses, or whatever dogs like to smell. Oh I will always bring doggie bags to clean up.

About: - Please note: On my property I have created a private fenced dog park and will pick u your fur baby, travel to my private dog park, spend a few hours having amazing fun and then travel back home, happy as can be and exhausted! - I have been a volunteer and foster of shelter animals as well as rescuing and providing a forever home for animals for many years. I worked at a shelter for a short time before resigning to open my own animal rescue. Working at an animal shelter opened my eyes to so many issues and reasons why people surrender their animals. I am currently in the process of opening an animal rescue through fostering each animal while finding a forever home for them. In addition, my rescue will focus on educating the public on the responsibilities of owning an animal over its lifetime. Opening a Non Profit rescue is what I am doing in my spare time because I have to continue to earn a living to provide for my family. Dog/cat sitting is the perfect profession for me because I get to continue to work with animals on a full-time basis and I feel this is the area in which I thrive and can continue to help with providing the best care possible. Over the years I have learned something from every animal I have worked with and/or owned. In recent years, I have completed training in Behavior Adjustment Training and The DO NO HARM DOG TRAINING AND BEHAVIOR HANDBOOK. I have the skills to know how to positively and appropriately approach animals as well as interact with them in a healthy way. In addition, I have the skills to quickly earn the trust of an animal. I am hoping that caring for animals will become my profession because I feel that I thrive in this area. Animals are the food for my soul and it would be a dream come true to work with them on a full-time basis. In my home and in my client’s home I practice what I have learned through attending dog training school as well as reading and practicing “THE DO NO HARM DOG TRAINING AND BEHAVIOR HANDBOOK.” Through school and experience I have learned how to appropriately approach animals, how to interact in a positive manner and how to gain the trust of an animal. In addition, I have the skills to positively interact with animals that may have difficulty walking on a leash, excessive jumping and much more.

About: I have been taking care of dogs my whole life on a regular basis. I am very loving and patient towards dogs but know how to handle them if things get out of control. I have worked at multiple dog day cares and used to run a foster system at home. I am a good dog trainer and very affectionate. My last employment was as a supervisor for a Dog daycare where I looked after multiple dogs and was trusted to handle dozens alone if needed. I have always loved working with dogs and have gathered a'lot of experience understanding and taking care of them. I know that I can take care of your dog with the best of care on a reliable and professional level. I am currently taking online classes at school and thus have a flexible availability that works for taking care of dogs and cats. It also adds into my love for animals. I have always had a dog in my house or apartment and would care for your dog the same way at your home. I get up at 6am daily and feed the dogs and then walk them for about 30min to ensure fresh air and energy. I make sure to give them adequate attention in the house and ensure they are also comfortable and have time to sleep.

About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life. From housetraining puppies to caring for aging senior dogs, I have experience with a range of personalities/quirks and am very comfortable with large or hyperactive dogs and rescues. My older Beagle has a seizure disorder, so I have experience with caring for pups with medical needs and I can administer medication. I also have 5 years of experience volunteering in a high-volume animal shelter, working predominantly with large dogs, so I understand how animals might behave when they are in a stressful environment and interacting with an unfamiliar person. I strive to provide a stress-free, comforting environment while you are away so please let me know what your pup loves the most! What you can expect: — Time outdoors, playing or on leashed walks — Cuddles and belly rubs — Lots of (approved) treats — Every effort to stick to your pet’s routine and establish clear boundaries! I can provide in-home doggy day care and boarding on Fridays and weekends with a prior meet and greet. Your pup will never be left alone with my dogs when I’m providing doggy day care, but I do require them to be crate-trained for overnight stays. I work full-time during the week but have a very flexible schedule. I can provide morning walks, drop in visits and afternoon playtime before lots of attention in the evening. I can board one to two dogs in my home if they are crate-trained, but a meet and greet is required beforehand. They will not be left alone in my home with my pups unattended. I am available for drop-in visits and some housesitting. I am open to long-term, ongoing schedules as well as flexible, on-the-spot drop-ins. I can provide some services in my own home on Fridays and weekends. I am open to spending as much time as I can with your pup. I enjoy walks, playing outdoors and sticking to their routine as much as possible! I know it can be stressful for pets when their owners are gone so I strive to provide a stress-free experience for your best friend! I will use your standard equipment and follow all directions you provide, especially on walks. I have experience with escape artists and will do everything I can to keep your pup safe. I also am very neat and tidy, will clean up any messes your pet makes and will treat your space with respect.
