“Kendall was excellent and exactly what you want when you have a pet sitter. She was prompt, clean and tidy, communicative, detail oriented and most all took great care of our dog while we were away. She is an above and beyond type of care taker and this is obvious when you meet her. We would recommend her without hesitation and would rebook anytime.”

About: I grew up with beloved household pets, and house sitting and dog walking jobs throughout my schooling. I have done this for cats and dogs alike of all kinds. I'm excited to continue the journey now through this platform and I hope I can be of help to many more in need. As a teacher, I have summers off. There is more time for house and pet sitting during my summers. The rest of the year I would work around my school calendar. I can followed detailed instructions, times for medications, walks, check ins, and feeding. If pet needs to be in a crate, I can proceed with owner preferences.
“Charlene was great! She was on time, communicated well, left my home spotless and it appears my dogs loved her. I definitely recommend her and would use her services again if the need arises.”

“Aicha has been so great with our dog. He has had some special needs at times and she is always accommodating and responsive with updates. We have had both last minute done drop requests and in-home stays and she has been awesome to work with. Highly recommend.”

“Sienna did a fantastic job caring for our husky dog. She also did a terrific job watering all our yard plants and she washed the bedding & towels before she left! Highly recommend!”

“Lily is amazing! Extremely conscientious, followed all instructions to a T, great communication and sent so many photos. And most importantly, the pups loved her. So happy to have found Lily!”

About: There is no furry friend that I do no enjoy being around! I've had the opportunity to love and care for many different animals since I was very young. The last couple years I have fostered kittens and have been able to see more than 20 beautiful babies go to their furrever homes! I have owned, and taken care of dogs of all ages and sizes my entire life. I am able to give medication through injections, and am not shy with training either! My dream is to one day run an animal sanctuary for hurt and endangered animals. Sunday- Saturday 8am- 8pm I have an open schedule and would love to spend it with your animals! Don't hesitate to message me. I can work with whatever plans needed. I offer house sitting/pet sitting and dog walking. For both services I will be going to your home to either care for animals, or pick them up for a walk around your neighborhood. I look forward to seeing the next animal as it is always a special experience.
“Patrick and his wife cared for my dog while we were away for a week. They did an amazing job keeping us in the loop with daily updates and pictures. I have never felt so comfortable and at ease while being away from my baby. They were super respectable to any instructions we left as well as our home in general.”

“Brandie stayed at my house for 4 days with my dog and 3 cats. She left the house in great condition and even watered my plants and brought in my mail. She is a natural with animals. My dog developed a tight connection with her and she did a great job taking care of him even in the very warm weather. She was great with the cats as well; playing with them and tending to their needs. I appreciate that she kept the dog and cats apart as they do not like each other. I highly recommend Brandie for your pet sitting and dog walking needs.”

“Thank goodness for Nadiia. Not only does she diligently care for my blind and heart-challenged dog when I travel without my furchildren, this time my other pup encountered an emergency digestive issue just 2 days before I left for across the Atlantic. Nadiia is so concerned, and follows directions to a T! I am so thankful for your commitment, Nadiia ❤️”

About: I have taken care of small and very large breed dogs since I was a child. I am able to give medications appropriately as well as easily notice any signs of discomfort in animals. I read animals very well and am able to give them what they need to be comfortable. I moved last summer back here to Pollock. As I am taking time off from work right now I have plenty of free time to help you with your pets! I currently live in a mini cabin like studio on a property by myself. My family also live on the property in their own homes. We have almost an acre. Your pups would be inside mostly and only outside for restroom unless outside together. I can do walks or dog park routinely. I am also flexible and able to tend to each animals needs for whatever best suits them!
“The sitter we normally get was booked so had to find a new sitter last minute. We found Whitney and are so happy we did! She did an amazing job with my dogs (one senior - with complicated sitting instructions) and 1 young energetic 2 year old pup. She kept our house incredibly clean and was a great communicator (pictures and updates everyday).”

“Sarah is just the sweetest thing! So attentive our fur babies loved her! Very communicative and sent pictures often which we love. Can’t wait to have her dog/cat sit again.❤️ we would highly recommend her!”

About: I've had a love and passion for animals since I was a child. I adopted my first pet in 2014. A beautiful female Queensland Heeler and American Pitbull mix named Sadie. She has been my service animal for over 5 years. I began my pet care career as a pet shelter assistant. A few years later, I became a Grooming Salon Assistant and have been grooming every since. I have knowledge of most breeds and am comfortable working with any sized dog, any temperament. I have also worked as a Kennel Assistant in a Veterinary office. I learned the in and outs of boarding, administering medications, and making sure all pets get adequate care. I'm looking forward to meeting you and your pet(s)! I'm currently working part time but need extra money as I don't have enough hours. I have a fairly flexible schedule and can work out overnight stays. While caring for pets, I greet them and make sure they're comfortable with me. I like to offer treats and take the time to have them trust in me. I ensure all food bowls and water bowls are filled. I take them out for potty and walks every 2-4 hours. I ensure they get adequate play time, whether inside or outside. Give them lots of love and attention ☺️ All while abiding by your care rules, ie training, medications, etc.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Sly Park
Lillian is extraordinary! A+++++++ Our pup Teddy gets anxious when we go away, even for a day. But it was obvious from the start that Teddy adored Lillian and felt safe with her. She kept in contact and sent the cutest pics, and we came home to a happy, at peace doggy. I really believe dogs sense people's character and emotions. Seeing Teddy so at peace and joyful tells me Lillian is trustworthy, loving, compassionate, and thoughtful. She met all of his needs and left him feeling secure and content. Lillian will be our first call every time we travel from now on!

As of August 2026, there are 770 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Sly Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sly Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sly Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sly Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
