“Kaylee is great to work with; I've had no issues with her all the visits she’s made to take care of my cats. She’s quick to respond and doesn’t miss any scheduled visits. I recommend her as your local pet sitter.”

“Declan clearly dedicates his time making sure our dog is mentally and physically engaged during his visits, which is not an easy feat with an energized 6mo lab! We are very grateful to have an enthusiastic and experienced handler like Declan around.”

About: For some reason, every dog I've ever met loves me. I absolutely adore dogs. I've been dog sitting for 17 years for friends and family. I've taken care of shy, skittish, hyper, calm, anxious, and every other type of dog personality. I have a calming way about me that dogs love. I'm incredibly trustworthy, detail oriented, careful, loving, and protective. I am willing to help out in any way needed to make your dog as happy as possible. The dog in my profile is my former dog Roxy. I rescued her from a shelter. She was my best friend. No one would choose her for a forever home because she had a lot of social needs. I was able to work with her on these needs and did a lot of training and she became an amazing dog. I can't wait to meet your dog or dogs and give them the care that they need.
About: I have almost a lifetime of experience with animals of all ages. Im patient with high energy puppies and calming to older and wiser animals. I love to bond with dogs over long walks and play sessions. I love spending time outdoors and with the company of a dog, the time becomes even more meaningful. Caring and visiting pets had always been a huge mood booster for me. When I am spending time with your pets we will be playing, taking walks or cuddling as much as possible. I will take the time to understand the needs your pet might be communicating.
“I’d leave Cayla 10 stars if I could. She took exceptional care of our anxious shepherd. She was very thoughtful of his nervousness and made him feel at ease. She had excellent communication as well, I didn’t worry at all about our boy.”

“Emily was a lifesaver! I needed someone last minute for my pup and she responded right away. Tilly was also still sleeping when I got home (!! Crazy for a puppy) and seemed happy. Thank you!”

“Sara is incredible! Is was onvious on day one how much she cares for animals. She is patient and kind with my doggo and quickly made friends. Her communication is top notch and the photos she sends really brighten a dull day”

“We were grateful to have Deanne care for our senior dog while we were on vacation. I have also used her for drop-in visits, and will be requesting her services again.”

About: I have been working in the pet industy for 10 years and I am pet CPR certified. I have taken care care of pups of all ages, all different kinds of animals, and have had many pets of my own. I currently work at a restaurant so may be gone here and there. My pups are home for you friend to have some company while I'm gone! I do not have a fenced in yard, but can leash walk anywhere. Pets can free roam inside my house, otherwise I can care for pets in their own space.
About: I have experience in cat sitting with clients, some of them had anxious cats that were more on the spicy side. I gained their trust and surprised their owners when they found out how close and cuddly they got with me, that's my quality. I don't expect every cat to open all of their boundaries and I respect doing what they want. 😸 I am known to socialize with the cats outside of just feeding them and cleaning their litterbox. I have had 3 cats of my own, 2 which have been elderly cats who needed medicine and careful care. 💊 I am very good at administering meds and staying consistent. I have had two dogs which both crossed the rainbow bridge from elderly age (a malamute and a newfoundland). I am an equal cat and dog lover! I would love to have a dog again one day. I walk with a cane so I am comfortable walking small dogs. 🐶 I have a very flexible schedule since I work from home. I can stop by any time in the mornings, afternoons, and also early evenings. When going to a client's home, I am very careful when entering and exiting the home when the door opens. I also do a head count of any cats including my own before leaving a house. I know from my own pet that they like to get curious and can suddenly go into a bathroom or closet and can get closed in. Just like my teaching days - taking head counts is important! I also watch the pets as they eat especially if there are multiple in a house so that they don't overeat by sneaking snacks from their pet buddies food.
“Emily visited daily and fed the cats as per instructions. She gave them attention and sent photos. She went above and beyond with the litter boxes and other minor chores. I would book her again.”

“Excellent and reliable care for my cats! She was also willing to help put out the trash for me! Thank you! I appreciated her pictures of my cats and open and clear communication. Two big thumbs up! 👍 👍”

About: I've had dogs since I was little. Love pets. I go for walks daily so a furry friends to assist me in these walks in ideal! Growing up we had two dogs since puppies and rescued an older dog! I am a natural care taker who loves animals! I am a teacher during the year so I am available all summer! Morning, afternoons, evenings! Weekend can get busier, but I am a flexible go with the flow person! Letting dogs out, watching them in the yard, leasing them up, taking them on walks, making sure they are fed and hydrated, occasional treats, all up my alley.
“Haylea is a fantastic sitter. She sends so many pictures and communicates so much information. I am happy to recommend her to anyone needing someone to take care of their best friend.”

About: I've owned numerous cats and dogs throughout my entire life, and have been raised with animals since I was an infant. I am looking to help anyone who may need the extra hand. Whether life is a little hectic or just seeking a get away, everyone can always use a little extra help. I am currently working on becoming a Certified Flight Instructor, so when I am not spending time at the airport studying/ training, I am at home studying. I am looking to help out whenever I have the free time to be able to get out, meet people, and take care of any animal needs they might have. I am big on attention for animals, not just having them to "fill space" in a home. I believe in treating them like family, through time spent running around, running errands, sitting on the couch to watch a movie, or even giving them a snack while eating (given something that is acceptable for their digestion, of course)! I try to take my own animals out as much as I can so they can get their energy spent so they aren't stuck inside all day.
About: What sets me apart is my lifelong love for dogs; having grown up with them, I have a deep understanding of their needs and behaviors. I offer care for both puppies and senior dogs, ensuring that every stage of your dog’s life is handled with love and compassion. I have plenty of time to play with your pups! I’m available after 11am weekdays and boarding and house sits on weekends! As long as there’s a week of notice beforehand and a 3 day notice before change of plans we’re all set! I care for pets in my clients' homes by treating them with the same love and attention I would give my own. I follow any specific routines and preferences to keep them comfortable and happy. Making sure they feel safe and secure while you're away is always top priority. My goal is to provide a seamless experience, so your pets feel at ease and enjoy their time, whether we're playing, going for walks, or simply relaxing together.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
