About: Hello! I love all types of pets and currently have two dogs of my own. I am a student at Virginia-Maryland college of veterinary medicine trying to earn some extra money by doing what I love, playing with pets. I have experience with all types of pets at varying sizes and personalities. During my undergraduate career, I raised two Seeing Eye Dogs and helped other raisers with training. During this time, I worked at a veterinary hospital, participated in animal specific events like vaccination clinics, and groomed. From healthy puppies and kittens to seniors who need medication, I have seen it all and am prepared to help with whatever your pet needs. I hope I can meet your fur babies and shower them with love while you’re away. I offer additional grooming services, ask about them if your interested. As someone who owns two dogs, pet care is a priority in my life. Both of my pups get plenty of one-on-one time as well as long walks and enrichment in the house. During the day, the pups are crated while I am at school, but if my boyfriend is off of work they get to run around and play. As soon as I get home the dogs get taken out and fed. Along with daily care, I take care of all of their grooming and medical needs as well. I currently live in apartment complex which has a dog play area for your furry friends to get plenty of exercise. There is also a trail connected to the complex which will be utilized for long walks and plenty of sniffing opportunities. Both of my pups are very friendly and would be happy to be your pet’s playmate during their stay.

I worked at a doggy day care for a year, as well as a dog walking company in Los Angeles where I took 5-6 dogs at a time for walks/hikes. I am very outdoorsy and enjoyed hiking and trail running with my dogs (my Jack Russell Terriers recently passed away). :( In my undergrad days I worked for a professional petsitter company and have checked on a variety of critters over the years. I have cared for pets in a variety of settings; including overnight visits, transports, daily walks or just hanging out for play time. I would be happy to take your fur baby out for a hike or a game of fetch! I've cared for everything from puppies, horses, farm animals, wheel chair doggies, old kitties and everything in between! As a child I had a desire to be a vet and much prefer spending time with animals (small and large) over humans! When I am not out in the forest adventuring you can usually find me hanging with cute fur babies and talking to them like they are humans. :) I am also human wilderness first aid and CPR trained.
