“Henry watched our dog while we were on vacation and he was the best! We got updates and photos everyday and it was clear that our dog was very comfortable and felt at home during his stay. He treated our dog amazing, letting him sleep in his bed, talking him on walks in the woods, and even groomed him and gave him a bath one day! I highly recommend having Henry watch your dog- We really loved knowing our dog was in good hands while we were away.”

“Shannon and her family are amazing with animals. She took my 6 pound chihuahua in last minute so that I could travel for 2 weeks. I felt safe leaving my dog there because Shannon is very attentive to the dogs safety and comfort. She sent me daily update pictures throughout my trip, which I looked forward to every day. This home is a great vacation home for your pets! I definitely recommend. Thank you Shannon and family.”

“Paula was amazing with our pup Monty! Lots of updates on how he was doing, sensible questions that showed how much she really cared that he had a good time. We’re so grateful!”

“They looked like they had a great time! Was given plenty of attention and treats. Did not appear overly hungry or thirsty when we brought them back home telling me they were given plenty of food and water. Liked that Lydia has a fenced in back yard and appreciated the daily picture updates and video without me having to ask first. Was also able to get us in last minute and was very responsive. Would highly recommend!”

“My Aussie always has the best time with Liz and her crew. I never have to question whether my pup is well cared for because I know she’s in the best hands. Liz is always my go-to sitter!”

“My poodle has stayed with Emily many times for both boarding and daycare and he always comes home happy and in good shape. He starts getting excited as soon as he sees me packing his bag, because he knows he's going to meet some great dog friends and get some exciting activity. I always feel comfortable traveling for work knowing he's in her hands.”

“Thanks & praise to Donna for taking such great care of my rambunctious 2 year old yorkie spaniel mix, Murphy. The pictures she sent showed my contented boy making himself at home.”

“Linda and David were awesome! They provided frequent updates and it’s evident that they are very knowledgeable about what is best for the dogs in their care. They even put a raincoat on Tucker during their rainy walk! We are so grateful to them for caring for our pup! We would love to have them watch our little guy the next time we are in town.”

“Richard was amazing with my boys. My bluetick can be difficult to say the least and Richard had no trouble at all. It’s wonderful to have someone with training watching your fur babies. If he can train wolves, he can handle most dogs!”

“Maverick loved his stay with Nancy & family. He was treated like family and got to do all the things he loves, play with dog friends & kids, find all the hidden balls in the house and sleep in a real bed :). Thanks again for making him feel so welcome and giving us peace of mind while we were away.”

About: I always grew up with my own animals and knew I wanted to to be a veterinarian one day. When I was in high school I started my own dog walking business to make some money and then heard a doggy daycare was opening up in town. I was the first to apply! I worked there for a while until I started at a local veterinarian at 16. Now I am going into my second year of vet school and wanted a way to fill some of my free time. Due to my busy class schedule I only have a cat right now, so I really enjoy spending extra time with dogs! My goal is to adopt a pit bull mix by the end of vet school because they have a special place in my heart! Over the past seven years, I’ve had the privilege of working with animals in a variety of settings from general care to specialty medicine to emergency and my passion for them only continues to grow. I'm skilled in administering medications and injections, caring for both puppies and senior pets, assisting with more challenging or nervous animals, and understanding dog behavior and body language. During the summer I’m working two days a week at Virginia Tech's Veterinary Teaching Hospital so the rest of the time I can devote to pet sitting! Unfortunately, my schedule does change week to week. During the school year my schedule also varies as labs are different days/times every week, however, they are only two hours long so I am flexible for the rest of the day! I also keep my schedule up to date on Rover! I'm available most days. Just message me about times and I will get back to you as soon as possible! I currently live in an apartment. I have one cat and my roommate has a cat. They both do well with dogs and will mainly keep to themselves and stay in our rooms. We are trying to socialize them more to dogs to get them more comfortable for when we adopt one in the next year! In our apartment we have two floors so we can keep the animals together when we are home and then separate them with a baby gate when we go out. There is a large unfenced backyard behind my apartment that is a communal space and lots of walking trails around including the Huckleberry Trail!

“Kurt kept our two dogs while we were out of the country. He took care of them as if they were his own and they had a great time. We trust him to handle anything that comes up. And he was flexible with our pickup time when we got home later than expected. The dogs love him.”
