About: I have owned dogs and cats all my life. There has never been a time I haven't had an animal living with me. Until now... I’m retired and get my dog fix from dog-sitting. I believe that there is no greater love than the love from a pet. I started dog sitting when I was between teaching jobs. I have retired from teaching elementary art. I live with my bf on about 1/4 acre. Fenced yard and security cameras. We are master gardeners and have about 1000 square feet of organic garden. We are Urban farmers ... dogs really enjoy running around our yard. I love to walk dogs and play with them in yard. We would love to share our home with your pets.

After a video meet and greet, Jewel came and figured out my pups complicated routines. She messaged when she had questions or concerns. Her co-sitter, Scout, was good with my dogs and extra careful with my elderly blind guy. My old guy, PV, wasn’t eating and we figured out that he had been missing his heart medication as well as his pain medication! As soon as his medication was straightened out, he was back chowing down. He fell in love with Jewel, leaning on her for pets — which he never does! Pearl, the diva head of the household, fell for Jewel right off and followed her around and slept with her and Scout. Not only did Jewel take great care of the pups, walking them daily and brushing them, she kept up the house so it was neat when I returned, took out the garbage, got the mail, and did poop scooping in the back yard as well as watering the plants! About: I grew up with pets, cats, dogs, guinea pigs and love all sorts of furry friends. I’ve had experience caring for newborn kittens, administering meds and all general care tasks for both dogs and cats. I have two dogs of my own that I raised from puppies. I follow directions very well, and will do my best to care for your babies as closely as I can to how you would care for them! I currently work full time, 30 hours a week, which is remote. I’m happy to house sit and be as available as possible for your pet babies. I am fully available Wednesdays and weekends. I take time to assess for any potential dangers or considerations I should have in mind while caring for your pets, and I will always ask questions about how to best care for your pets based on their environment, personalities and preferences as well as taking into account your normal routine with them.

Sandy was lovely. He really seemed to like my old dog and wanted the best for him. I had had a negative experiencing with a prior sitter so I was a bit worried this time, but all fears were unfounded. My house was in great shape when I returned an my old guy seemed to be a bit sad to see Sandy leave...I recommend him, and I will call him again!
