“Alina was wonderful with Schooner. She made sure he was happy and comfortable at all times. He made fast friends with her dog Laska, who snuggled close to him during a thunderstorm to help calm him. In every photo she sent, Schooner looked happy. I highly recommend her and will definitely use her again when I'm back in the area. thank you!”

“Kate & John were amazing with my dad’s dog, Walter! He is an anxious boy, and they made sure he felt at home, and got him settled right in. Their dogs, Theo and Luna, were very friendly and welcomed him with happy tails and they had a lot of fun together. They took him on adventures to a brook, walking trails and lots of playing fetch. They were very responsive and communicative which put my nervous dad at ease and he was able to enjoy his vacation worry free. It is very apparent that this family enjoys welcoming other dogs into their home and caring for them, we highly recommend Kate & John!”

“We are so grateful to have found Kim to care for our dog Mochi while we were on a trip! She is accommodating, communicative and kind. We did not have to worry about leaving our dog with her and knew that Mochi would enjoy being around her dog as well. We got lots of pictures and Mochi got lots of exercise and rest too! I would not hesitate to ask Kim for her help in the future.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better caregiver for Riggs than Ric! He was so kind and loving towards our old dog. He had him outside a ton, gave him great walks, followed our specific food instructions perfectly, and just genuinely obviously cared about Riggs being safe and comfortable. He was also super communicative during Riggs’ whole stay, and flexible with drop off and pick up times. I highly recommend Ric!”

“Lori was easy to communicate with, and very patient and sweet towards an elderly dog with health issues. Maggie still got daily walks and exercise with the others and had an absolute blast under Lori’s care. Thank you so much, Lori! We will definitely be contacting you again!”

“Alicia and her family are AMAZING! She kept our pup for 10 days while we were on vacation and Roux had the best time!! Communication with Alicia was great. We got pictures and updates regularly. I would highly, highly recommend her! ❤️”

“Kaitlin and her family were fantastic with the dogs! First, she accommodated a last minute booking when my original plan fell through and accepted with a weeks notice and I am forever grateful. It was clear the dogs were in good hands with multiple updates and pictures each day, I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation knowing they were well taken care of. They even came home with handmade bandanas! I would definitely book with Kaitlyn again knowing my dogs also had a great vacation at her home. Thanks again!”

“We would definitely recommend Jane to care for pets. She is warm and friendly and our Bella was well cared for. She sent an update and photo while we were away which was really appreciated.”

“Hailey was fantastic with our pups. She sent us pictures and updates for them to help set our minds at ease. There was plenty of room outside for our dogs to run and play. When we picked up our dogs, they were happy and playful. They were very clearly well taken care of. We will definitely use Hailey again.”

“Jessica and her family were lifesavers! They took our two dogs last minute and loved on them so well. They did such a good job of integrating our dogs and sending lots of pictures during their stay. Our dogs came back so happy.”

“Christina was really great with Cosmo and is experienced in dog behaviour and handling. I was nervous as Cosmo hasn't stayed in a kennel before but she handled it great and Cosmo had a great time! She was detailed in asking questions to ensure she had all the information to provide the best care for him.”

“Jenn couldn’t have provided better care for my sweet senior dog Frank. She made special accommodations for him at her house and was really aware of what he might need to feel right at home. She was really communicative and sent lots of photos of my pup. I felt really comfortable leaving Frank knowing Jenn was taking such good care of him.”

About: Our family has had dogs ever since our grown son was a child. We have owned and loved three dogs. As a retiree, I am happy to board your well-behaved, adult dog in my country home. Your dog will be the only dog I care for and will receive my full attention, as I will only care for one dog at a time. I'm retired and have plenty of time to spend with your dog. I love to walk in good weather and if your dog behaves on leash, I am happy to take your dog on safe, country hikes. If not, I have a large, fenced in yard for your dog to play in. I will treat your well-behaved dog as a family member. Our home is a quiet, relaxed setting, and a great environment for senior or fearful dogs. If you live nearby, I prefer doing a "meet and greet" with your dog prior to boarding to enable a smooth transition when it's boarding time.
About: I have always had dogs but am currently without one after my 16-year-old golden retriever passed away. I am comfortable working with dogs of all ages, and understand how their needs, routines and personalities change throughout their lives. I live in a quiet community with beach access a short walk away. If you have a pup that loves to swim, go on adventures or walks, or simply spend time outside, I would be a great fit. While your away, you can be sure they too are enjoying a mini vacation. I can work from home so your dog will not be lonely during the day. There are some days I may not be home all day, but I will be sure to give them plenty of exercise with time to run, play or swim in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. I also have a life jacket for those dogs who are not strong swimmers or who may want a little extra support in the water. I've not crated any of my dogs, but if you are more comfortable with crating, I can accommodate that if you bring yours. I do not have a fenced in yard, but I do have a small side yard, access to trails and a beach so they will get plenty of time outside.
About: Experienced walker and drop-in sitter with a lifetime of dog care. I’ve loved huskies, goldens, chihuahuas, vizslas and more. Currently raising two vizslas and a French bulldog. Great with puppies and seniors; dependable care, safe leash handling, and thoughtful updates. I currently work from home with a flexible schedule so I’d love to offer pet parents piece of mind while away from their pets or just busy with life. I know how it is with pets of my own. Safety comes first on every visit. I arrive on time, follow your routine, and double-check doors, gates, and leash/harness fit before leaving. No off-leash walking unless pre-approved in a secure area. I choose calm routes, watch weather (heat/ice/salt), carry water/poop bags/towel, and monitor body language. At home, I refresh water, feed/medicate per instructions, tidy litter or wipe paws, and do a quick home check (locks, lights, alarms). I respect your privacy, keep keys/codes secure, and never bring guests. You’ll receive clear, time-stamped photo updates—and GPS walk summaries if you’d like.
“Maile is so sweet, and she took my dogs in like they were her own ❤️ I could not have picked a better person to take care of my two German Shepherds. She kept me updated and even sent me some videos! She will be my go to for furbaby sitters from now on ??”

Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
