“Kaitlin and her family were fantastic with the dogs! First, she accommodated a last minute booking when my original plan fell through and accepted with a weeks notice and I am forever grateful. It was clear the dogs were in good hands with multiple updates and pictures each day, I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation knowing they were well taken care of. They even came home with handmade bandanas! I would definitely book with Kaitlyn again knowing my dogs also had a great vacation at her home. Thanks again!”

“Rebecca was great. I have a difficult dog and she was able to handle him without incident. She's got a beautiful place and is conscientious and attentive and very responsible/safety-minded. This came as a great relief to us, as we take car and road danger very seriously. She is also clearly empathetic and cares about her animals. I highly recommend her.”
“Jessica and her family were lifesavers! They took our two dogs last minute and loved on them so well. They did such a good job of integrating our dogs and sending lots of pictures during their stay. Our dogs came back so happy.”

“Kim was wonderful and went above and beyond to make Ronin and Winnie comfortable. They had a great stay. She sent pictures and updates frequently. I highly recommend Kim!”

“I would like to encourage everybody to let their dog with Christy. She was super nice, send me a lot of pictures of my dog daily and all her family played with my dog all day. She make me feel very comfortable and in peace to let my dog with her. She was extremely nice and I strongly recommend her. Thank you Christy”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better caregiver for Riggs than Ric! He was so kind and loving towards our old dog. He had him outside a ton, gave him great walks, followed our specific food instructions perfectly, and just genuinely obviously cared about Riggs being safe and comfortable. He was also super communicative during Riggs’ whole stay, and flexible with drop off and pick up times. I highly recommend Ric!”

“Gabrielle was great. Clear and consistent communication. She was attentive to the needs of the different dogs staying with them and Ollie seemed tuckered at the end of the weekend, thank you!”

About: I've taken care of many pets including my own dogs and cats through the years. I can bathe your doggie if you'd like and take him/her for walks. I'm a stay at home mom so your pet will get lots of attention each day. I'll take special care of your furry friends! I'm a stay at home mom of three small children. We currently have two cats of our own so your pet will just fall into our routine each day. I live on a quiet side road without a fenced in yard. I'll take your doggie outside on a leash for potty breaks and walks. Your pet will be well loved.
About: Our family has had dogs ever since our grown son was a child. We have owned and loved three dogs. As a retiree, I am happy to board your well-behaved, adult dog in my country home. Your dog will be the only dog I care for and will receive my full attention, as I will only care for one dog at a time. I'm retired and have plenty of time to spend with your dog. I love to walk in good weather and if your dog behaves on leash, I am happy to take your dog on safe, country hikes. If not, I have a large, fenced in yard for your dog to play in. I will treat your well-behaved dog as a family member. Our home is a quiet, relaxed setting, and a great environment for senior or fearful dogs. If you live nearby, I prefer doing a "meet and greet" with your dog prior to boarding to enable a smooth transition when it's boarding time.

I can take your dog/s for walks , feed them ,do drop in visits or play with them. I have a small farm so have experience tending to rabbits, cats ,chickens, pigs, goats and chinchillas I work part time and am available weekdays / nights and weekends, i am available for overnights or early morning pick up / drop off I can come to you and take your dog/s for walks or playtime in your yard or neighborhood as well as taking them to hiking trails, parks or just out for a little socializing (depending on the dog) I have dogs that I can bring if your fur baby needs a playmate as well. I also offer daycare and boarding in my home, I don’t currently have a fence up but we are adding one in the spring. I have plenty of room for inside play for the dogs and go on multiple walks a day with them. I do have personal dogs but I can have it so they are separated if your dog doesn’t do well with others.
“Hailey was fantastic with our pups. She sent us pictures and updates for them to help set our minds at ease. There was plenty of room outside for our dogs to run and play. When we picked up our dogs, they were happy and playful. They were very clearly well taken care of. We will definitely use Hailey again.”

About: I have always had dogs but am currently without one after my 16-year-old golden retriever passed away. I am comfortable working with dogs of all ages, and understand how their needs, routines and personalities change throughout their lives. I live in a quiet community with beach access a short walk away. If you have a pup that loves to swim, go on adventures or walks, or simply spend time outside, I would be a great fit. While your away, you can be sure they too are enjoying a mini vacation. I can work from home so your dog will not be lonely during the day. There are some days I may not be home all day, but I will be sure to give them plenty of exercise with time to run, play or swim in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. I also have a life jacket for those dogs who are not strong swimmers or who may want a little extra support in the water. I've not crated any of my dogs, but if you are more comfortable with crating, I can accommodate that if you bring yours. I do not have a fenced in yard, but I do have a small side yard, access to trails and a beach so they will get plenty of time outside.
“Christina was really great with Cosmo and is experienced in dog behaviour and handling. I was nervous as Cosmo hasn't stayed in a kennel before but she handled it great and Cosmo had a great time! She was detailed in asking questions to ensure she had all the information to provide the best care for him.”

“Jenn took such great care of our pup when we went away for the holidays. It is evident that she LOVES animals and made Harper feel safe and comfortable right away. Harper became fast friends with her two dogs, Moxie and Ziggy, both sweet dogs. Jenn went above and beyond, sending daily pictures and updates. From the very first day, I knew Harper was well cared for. I highly recommend Jenn and will definitely book her again. What a gem!”

Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Madison home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Madison.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Madison sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
