About: I grew up with cats, fostered a border collie puppy in college and have experience training puppies and kittens. I currently have a senior cat and will hopefully be getting my own dog soon! I have experience with senior care for cats, giving medication, and grooming both cats and dogs. I have a bachelor’s degree, government background checks and am CPR, ACLS and BLS certified. I love long walks and cuddling up with animals! Your pet’s feeding routine, familiar cues, preferences, and boundaries help me provide care that feels consistent with home. I also offer cat drop-ins for families who want their cats cared for in familiar surroundings. I do require meet and greets for first time clients. Daycare and boarding stays are required to be dog friendly and will be required to meet my two pups in a neutral location before booking is confirmed. Pets must be up to date on vaccinations and not be carrying fleas. Any and all behavioral issues must be disclosed prior to booking. This allows us both to determine if my care and environment is the best fit for your pet. Pet care is my main focus, so I have flexibility to plan visits, walks, and stays around your pet’s routine. Before booking, we’ll discuss the timing and attention they need to make sure my schedule is a good fit. I’m based in Raeford, with access to Fort Bragg, and welcome inquiries from Fayetteville, Hope Mills, and nearby communities. Include your dates and neighborhood when messaging so I can confirm availability for your location. My home has a fenced yard and room for dogs to play and relax indoors. I welcome boarding dogs from one guest household at a time, giving your pets individual attention while allowing dogs from the same family to stay together. I have two dogs of my own, so we’ll discuss compatibility and arrange a meet-and-greet before a first stay. About: As a pet parent to two dogs and a cat, I know firsthand that every animal has their own personality, quirks, and needs. “She really helped me out of a bind when I had no one to let my 6 month old puppy out of her kennel for a pee and water break during the day while I worked my 12 hour shifts for 2 days. I could tell by the second day that Ellie recognized Colleen, and not only that was excited to see her again! Colleen really took care of my puppy, was patient while she sniffed everything and anything on their walk, made sure she pottied and had a drink before putting her back in her kennel for the rest of my shift. No problems with large dog breeds or with lifting elderly pets. About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life. Growing up I was around breeds such as Labradors, Cocker Spaniels, Chows, German Shepards, Poodles and Lhasa Apsos. The first time I became a dog mom was to Zoe, a Bichon Frise. I lived in Chicago at the time in an apartment so I had to walk her multiple times a day. Bichons also need a lot of maintenance with their fur, so I’m very familiar with grooming methods of that type of breed. After Zoe, I became a dog mom to a Pit Bull/German Shepherd puppy, Garner. I got him when he was 8 weeks old and had him for 13.5 years. I understand the level of care a puppy needs as well as a senior dog. I’m also very familiar with handling large breeds on a leash. I understand how a pet is part of the family and I will show your dog lots of love and affection, just like I would my own. I am available Monday-Friday 8am-2pm then from 6pm-8pm. I’m available 7am-10pm on Saturday and Sunday. Please contact me if you need help outside of those times and I can try to work with you. I’m not able to keep your dog in my home, but I will always make sure your dog is safe in your home. I will always follow your safety protocols.
