“Tanya provided exceptional care for our cat and two dogs while staying over a long holiday weekend in our home. She asked excellent questions during our "meet and greet," so when it came time for us to leave our animals we knew they were in good hands. She arrived to house sit early afternoon on Friday and left late on Monday to accommodate our travel schedule. Our animals each have particular needs and personality quirks. For instance, we have one high energy dog that requires oral medication, frequent potty breaks, and long walks. Our other dog is content sleeping all day and needs to be convinced to take short walks! Plus, the energetic dog will eat the lazy dog's food if given the opportunity, so we feed them separately. Then, our cat is low maintenance, but still needs food, water, affection, and to have her box cleaned daily. Finally, the dogs wake up at 5am for breakfast (whether we're awake or not). Caring for the three of them is a lot of work and Tanya did a great job attending to their needs! We came home from vacation to happy, heathy pets and a clean house. We could not have asked for a better pet sitter. I highly recommend Tanya and would absolutely employ her services again.”

While I don’t have a yard, I do live in a pet-friendly apartment complex with a fully fenced dog park just steps away—perfect for safe off-leash play! I take multiple walks every day and would be happy to match your pup’s routine—whether they love long strolls, quick potty breaks, or both. At home, your dog is welcome on the couch and the bed (plenty of room for snuggles!), but if you'd prefer they stick to their own space, I’m happy to keep those boundaries consistent. Whatever makes your dog feel safe, relaxed, and at home, I’m here for it. About: I am a 5 year experienced veterinary technician who has worked primarily with small animals in multiple practices across the United States. I am currently enrolled in veterinary medical school pursuing my doctorate at UIUC in their college of veterinary medicine. In addition, I am a life-long pet owner myself! I grew up with dogs in a variety of sizes, as well as cats. As a veterinary student, I have classes in the morning and sometimes afternoon. This should not be a concern as I still have plenty of time to watch pets! We have multiple breaks through the day and I own a car. Classes never extend past 4:00 pm. So, I can travel to your pet and am fully open in evenings for long walks! I care for pets in the owners home! As a veterinary student, I am living in an apartment which is not always the appropriate place for watching certain large-sized dogs. I also have a cat of my own who is terrified of dogs!

I’m trained in grooming, recognizing early signs of health issues, and handling medications confidently and safely. I know how to stay calm under pressure and respond quickly in case of an emergency. I’m also familiar with maintaining training routines. especially with working dogs, as my own dog Bailey is a trained hunting dog. I’ll make sure your pup is well cared for, both physically and mentally, just like I would for my own. As I have mentioned previously, I am currently still on summer break before college and have recently left my kennel job this past week so I will have ample time to take care of your fur baby! My schedule is currently available all day! I care for pets with the same attention and love I give my own dog, making sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable at all times. I follow any routine you provide, including feeding, walks, playtime, training, and medications. I understand that routines are important as it comes to making them feel safe and a constant when you are away! (My dog bailey has a strict routine so I get this!) When it comes to your home, I treat it with complete respect and care! Keeping things the same as it was left, secure, and following any house rules you share. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel totally at ease while you're away and stress free!
