About: I have worked with numerous animals since I was 5 years old. I have owned chickens, rabbits, horses, dogs, and cats my entire life. I am a 4-H leader where I teach children how to train dogs and I help them show and prepare their animals at fair. I also show my own animals at the fair. Additionally, I have pet sat for numerous family members over the years as well as friends. I will always be there for your pet and I will make sure they are well taken care of and loved just like they are my own. I am a teacher who is currently on summer break. So my schedule is pretty open during the summer and I have a lot of availability. During the school year, most of my weekends are free as well as when we have breaks. I am flexible and willing to make things work for you! I live on a little hobby farm with my husband. I have 3 dogs and 3 cats who are very friendly. I have everything needed in my home to take care of a dog including a kennel if needed as well as tie outs. We have a lake that is 5 minutes from our house and if your dog loves to swim, I would be happy to take them. I take my dogs all over in the summer and I would make sure your pet gets a lot of attention and exercise as well. Additionally, we have a huge barn and fenced in pasture as well as rabbit hutches in the barn and a chicken coop! Whatever animal you have they can be comfortable at my property. Additionally, if you feel better about your animal staying at home, I am happy to accommodate to that as well.
“Michelle was wonderful! She made sure my pups felt completely comfortable the whole time. I loved getting so many photo updates every day. I always knew they were in great hands. I will definitely book with her again!”

“Had consistent updates and felt very comfortable leaving Furb with Hannah & Braxton B while we were on vacation. Furb said it went super well and already misses his new friends.”

“Alex was great! Fantastic communications from the meet and greet through drop off and pick up. He sent photos of our pups almost every day. They were well taken care of and happy when we picked them up!”

“Trisha and her boyfriend were excellent with Rin! They did lots of walks and tons of lovin’s, both of which are Rin’s favorite! We could not have asked for better sitters. They even got up early on our pick up day to make sure Rin had a really nice long walk before we picked her up at 8AM”
“We were so happy to find Aryn on Rover to care for our dogs for a weekend away! She was especially patient with one of our dogs that experiences separation anxiety. We really appreciated her communication and care for our dogs!”

“Allison has watched our dogs twice in the last couple of months. She does such an amazing job with them, always updates us and sends pictures. Our dogs always come home tired and happy.”
“Terri was amazing and super thoughtful! She took such great care of Rowan and sent pictures updating us every day on how he was doing. When we got home after a long weekend, I found an incredibly sweet note from her in our overnight bag. She went above and beyond to make us feel at ease. We will definitely have Rowan stay with her again in the future when we are away!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Shoto
This was the first time I left my puppy in a boarding house. Erica made sure that my family and I were calm by knowing that she was taking really good care of the puppy. She sent us pictures and updates multiple times throughout the day, so we were assured that the puppy was in good hands and was feeling calm, not missing us. She also played with her a lot and gave her a great deal of attention, so the dog never felt sad or anything. I highly recommend her for anyone who needs a boarding house for their pets!

Erica was truly incredible. My mother-in-law was extremely nervous about leaving River with anyone -it’s been a constant source of anxiety since River can feel uneasy and unsettled around new people. From the very start, Erica went above and beyond, providing daily updates with photos and videos that made all the difference. Her communication and genuine care immediately put my MIL at ease. I honestly can’t recommend Erica highly enough.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Shoto home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Shoto.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Shoto sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
