“Brittany was an awesome pet sitter! She took great care of my cat, while I was out of town for the week. She was great at keeping me up-to date on waffles and sent many pictures. I would definitely rebook in the future, as it seemed my cat was comfortable as she came out of her hiding spot many times, which is unusual for her with new people.”

“Tracy was great with our pets, even the persnickety one who might have tried to eat her, haha. And she kept in touch with us well too. Always nice when we're away to see our pets, who are an important part of our family, are happy. Thank you Tracy! We will surely call on you again.”

“Becky was absolutely amazing when we needed her to drop in on our crazy puppy, Rosie! We were nervous to leave Rosie for as long as we did, but Becky helped ease our minds by checking in and sending pictures while she was there. She did everything we asked and more to accommodate Rosie’s needs and her little quirks. She was very quick to respond, asked great questions about Rosie’s care, and was very informative during her visit. I couldn’t recommend Becky enough!!!”

“Kasandra was great! She checked on our cat while we were out of town and it made leaving him so much easier knowing he was in good hands. We will be booking with her again!”

“Margaret took great care of our three cat’s especially taking special care of our Charlotte who hides from strangers! She went above and beyond by spending time with them and communicating how they were doing. This was our first vacation away from our kitties and Margaret made us feel at ease that everything was going to be ok! Thank you so much Margaret for everything!”

“Sally has been so wonderful with my Midnight Sassafras! She even brings a toy of her own to play with her because she understands that cats need variety with their toys. She has exceeded my expectations and I will continue to reach out to her when I need a sitter.”

“Tracey has a wealth of experience that was invaluable to us as we are still navigating integrating a new dog into our family. She was very reassuring about her ability to handle their interactions which allowed us to relax while we were gone. Her communication and pictures were great and showed how well things went during the visit. Tracey is a great choice for your pets!!!”

“Taylor did a great job! I really appreciated that she walked Roland for a shorter period due to the heat, but still played with him indoors for awhile to help him burn off some extra energy. Definitely made me feel like he was well taken care of while I was at work!”

“Amanda did a fantastic job with our dogs. She is very conscientious - she checked in with us regularly and asked questions to ensure she was giving the best possible care to our pups.”
“We had an amazing experience with David! He took excellent care of Molly, and we felt completely at ease while we were away. He was kind, reliable, and attentive. We highly recommend him and would definitely book with him again! 🐶⭐”

“Sarah made us feel at ease and like our cats were in good hands immediately. She was very communicative and took plenty of pictures. She even made sure they got to go outside in their catio on every visit. I would definitely recommend her services to anyone and I’ll be hoping she’s available next time I need a pet sitter.”

“Sydney did a super job with my two babies! They warmed up to her right away, which speaks volumes about her ability to immediately connect with my cats. She was prompt and stayed for the entire drop-in visit. Those are things that are important to me and that I truly appreciate. I will use her again and I definitely recommend her!”

About: Hi! I’m Ellie, and I’ve been caring for pets through Rover for the past 5 years. I’m currently available for dog walks and drop-in visits for dogs and cats, with flexibility during the day for occasional or regular visits. I’ve always loved animals and have experience caring for all kinds of dogs and cats. Before Rover, I volunteered at animal shelters and worked for a pet-sitting company, where I regularly cared for a variety of pets with different personalities and needs. For dogs, I love getting them out for a good walk, giving them plenty of playtime and attention, and making sure they’re happy and comfortable while you’re away. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes — I grew up with large Golden Retrievers, so big dogs are absolutely welcome! For cats, I’m happy to provide meals, fresh water, litter box care, playtime, pets, and plenty of company while you’re away. I’m dependable, caring, and treat every pet like they’re my own. I’d love to meet you and your pets and help make things a little easier when you’re away! Feel free to reach out with any questions. 🐾 I am fully available right now for morning, afternoon and evening visits/walks. Weekly Monday through Friday (some weekends too). I love dogs and look forward to meeting furry friends!! I have an unfenced backyard but will keep any dog on a leash anytime we go outside. I will take them on walks around my neighborhood.
“Reactive dog owners rejoice! Nina was so amazing and patient with our reactive boy, Murph. He takes a little bit to warm up to people and is dog/stranger reactive, so I needed someone who has experience with that. She is very patient and respectful of Murph’s boundaries. She’s really good at reading dog behavior and has training experience too! I am so thankful for Nina and look forward to booking her again!”

Sydney was helpful and a very communicative caregiver for our kitty! It was our first time using a catsitter, and Sydney was such a great guide, and immediately bonded with our kitty. She was great with communication. And, she always sent us timely pics and videos. Thank you, Sydney!

Rachel is an absolute godsend for our family. Our dog is quite loving but reactive. Rachel took the time to get to know her before our trip and then was super helpful, informative, communicative and caring during. She was also great with checking in on the loner cat and fish we have in the house. We will definitely be using her forever!
First time using Lauren and was happy with her care and attention to our two dogs. She walked and played with both dogs, especially our younger one who needs more exercise. She kept in regular communication, sending messages when needed, and providing pictures. The dogs were fine and the house seemed in good order when we got home!.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
