“Absolutely amazing! Dan always goes above and beyond to take great care of Kamora. He’s reliable, caring, and communicative. He always makes sure she feels comfortable and well cared for. I’m so grateful!”

About: I have experience with puppies, beginner obedience training and potty training. Senior dog care, special needs, surgery or vet procedure recovery and care. Active dogs that need lots of engagement and exercise or dogs that just want to hang out and cuddle. I work primarily from home, have a safe and fenced yard. Our home is open with lots to explore or we can provide a safe, quiet space if your pet needs that. I have a safe, fenced yard they can run around in or if they would rather hang out with me, sit in my lap, lay in my bed. I walk multiple times a day and have nature and walking trails around my home. I have a quiet room if your pet needs quiet space or they can run around the house and explore and play with my kids (10 and 12) and hang out with my family.
“Every week I have a meeting where they ask me what I'm grateful for this week - and it's always Kelsey & Family. There is very little in my life that is routine and that's one of the very reasons why I'm so extremely GRATEFUL for this amazing place! JOMO gets to have a safe and fun place to be. To play with friends (animal and humans), to have zoomies, to take naps, to have cuddles - all while I get to deal with real world things. Love Love Love.”

I have a very flexible schedule and am available on both weekdays and weekends to accommodate your needs. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. About: I have always grown up with animals as a child. I own 2 animals and have 3 kids. Usually you'll find me volunteering for shelters doing different things: doggy day out for shelter dogs, bottle feeding puppies and kittens, helping at adoption events. Additionally to volunteering I am also offering my all round pet care in my neighborhood. I love to take dogs on long walks and treat them like they are my own. Open to your house or mine whatever fits best into your schedule and works with your pets ! I am working from home and I have a 3rd grader I am homeschooling. So me and him are ready to be active and offer pet services in Lincoln and beyond! I am happy to work with what your pets need. Whether they are used to the kennel, have their special sleeping place etc. I am offering individualized care !!
About: We are a loving family with two young girls and a dog. We enjoy being outdoors and spend much of our time in the garden. Our property features a pond for dog-paddling, a lawn for ball throwing, and many trails for exploring. I am a stay at home mom so I’m able to give around the clock care. We usually go for a walk through the orchards after breakfast and spend most of our day outside, watering the gardens and doing work around the property. We also enjoy an evening stroll before bed. We live on 10 acres and have a perimeter fence as well as a fenced backyard for free play. We have a private, secure dog run if your pup is more comfortable in their own space as well. We are usually up between 6-7, we can feed breakfast then or after our morning walk around the property to feed the farm animals. We do a lot of outdoor play and work in the garden that our boarding dogs usually love. I am a stay at home mom and Michael works from home so your dog gets constant companionship. We have a fenced yard that attaches to our house and a doggie door so your dog can go in and out as it pleases. This area is the main place your dog will stay when we are not romping around the farm.

About: I have taken care of dogs of every kind for friends and family for a long time. I love meeting new dogs and experiencing their unique personalities. I offer a wide range of services from drop-in visits, walks, to overnight care. I lead an active lifestyle and love to be outside any chance I get! I have experience crating your dog if needed. I always put their leash or harness on before I open the door. Your doggies safety is my number one priority! Message me for any questions you might have. I’m currently a part time student for a medical assistant program. I have a very flexible schedule. I love taking care of people and animals. 💗 I will take amazing care of fur baby. I will follow any schedule/routine you have for your pet. I’m. A very honest and loving person.
“I was very hesitant in leaving my pup due to me never wanting to leave him with anyone , but today I had to leave town for the day.. I felt comfortable leaving macho with her. She sent me pictures and we talked through out the day! My pup never potty outside before , and today he did!! He must of had fun because he’s been sleeping since I got him back lol.”

“Fin had a great afternoon with Tracy and Alex! He played, napped and loved being there. Tracy sent us cute pictures of all the fun he was having and we couldn't have asked for a better experience for our pup! Highly recommend!!!”

“Leo always had a great time at Jennifer’s place. He loves playing with Odo. We are so grateful for the love and care she provides. We appreciate the regular updates and photos she provide, giving us peace of mind that Leo is having fun! Highly recommend it to any pet owner looking for a reliable and loving daycare for their pet.”

“Jacqueline set up a meet and greet right away to make sure Mack was a good fit before taking him in, which was a great sign that she is experienced. Rating of 5 stars due to her taking him in last minute when we really needed a sitter to help till he's fully vaccinated. Also, our first day for pick up we were 10 minutes late due to unforeseen traffic issue coming from Ranch Cordova and she was totally understanding. Puppies are a heavy lift, requiring a lot of personalized care. Jacqueline's kindness and flexibility were greatly appreciated!”

“Wes did such an amazing job taking care of my boy today. Wes kept me up to date throughout the day and kept Cade entertained and happy all day. I would highly Wes to anyone looking for pet care services. Thank you again Wes!”

“Five stars, no hesitation. Luz came out to the curb to meet us at drop-off, which was such a thoughtful touch. There’s always that awkward moment as a first-time visitor where you’re not sure whether to knock or ring the doorbell, and she just took that off the table entirely. She followed all my care instructions carefully and, most impressively, rolled with a last-minute curveball: our younger dog ended up needing his neuter surgery earlier than expected, so she had to take on a whole set of post-op instructions with very little notice. She handled it without missing a beat. Her own dog was an absolute gem, calm, gentle, not a barker. That matters more than it might sound. I always worry about my dogs picking up bad habits from an anxious or reactive dog, and that was just never a concern here. Both of my dogs are Chihuahua mix puppies, which is exactly as much energy as it sounds like. She had nothing but kind things to say about them at pick-up, which honestly I appreciated, because I can barely say that about them on a high-energy day. Most telling: they were asleep within 60 seconds of getting in the car. That’s always my gold standard for a good stay. She was also wonderfully communicative throughout, sending pictures and videos regularly. I don’t always need that from a sitter, but with someone new, it means everything to know they’re being attentive. Luz absolutely was. I’ve used a number of sitters in the Roseville and Rocklin area over the years and honestly never walked away from a drop-off feeling truly at ease. This was the first time. I felt confident the whole time that my dogs were in the best possible hands. Highly recommend, especially if you have puppies or dogs with special needs.”

“John was wonderful watching Jessie. Took her on several walks throughout the day, which was very much appreciated. Sent us pictures and updates throughout the visit. We will definitely be booking with him again.”

“Pogo loved hanging out with Nicole and his new friend Bowie! Had a wonderful meet and greet beforehand. Immediately we knew that Pogo would be in great hands with Nicole!”

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
