About: I've taken care of pets personally since I was eight years old. I have professionally cared for a variety of cute pups for nine years. Ensuring that each experience is individual for every Fur Mom/Dad is important to me so you feel most assured your pet is well taken care of when you are gone. I have experience administering some medications and dealing with special needs as well. I am currently working full-time (M-F, 7a-4p). I am off weekends! Even working full-time, I still have plenty of time to spend caring for your pet(s). I am available during the weekday around my work schedule, and I am open on weekends for the convenience of your travel needs! I have been a member of the Cleveland community since 2022. When I care for your pet(s), I work with pet parents to develop an individualized care plan, so although you may be away, they are on the same schedule for their comfort and the pet parent's ease of mind. Constant communication is essential to me, as I know how difficult it can be to be away from your best friend; frequent updates allow pet parents ease of mind and comfort knowing their pet is well cared for. While I care for your pet(s), I will message you as I arrive at your home, send detailed updates and photos while I am with your fur children, and let you know when I leave. I do work full-time (M-F, 7a-4p), but I work with pet parents' needs and can always work with the fur babies before I go to work and after work as long as that fits the pet parent's needs. I work with pet parents to create an individualized plan. By making these, I can know all the do's and don'ts with their pet. I have experience with clients with fenced yards to lease only and crating dogs while away. I will ensure your pet is safe, comfortable, and stress-free while in my care.

About: Due to my bubbly personality, I believe I can show your pets lots of love to avoid that separation anxiety from y’all being gone. I give my 100 in everything I do no matter what I do. I’m also very flexible with understanding how life events may pop up so cancelations don’t bother me. I believe showing love and compassion is the key to helping people feel accepted and understood, same thing with animals. I don’t think anyone should feel alone so I’m always that girl seeking to help someone in need. If you like my services, I won’t mind keeping in touch for future pet-sitting. Also, friendships are always welcomed in my life. I love meeting new faces and enjoying new company. If you have questions, please don’t hesistate to ask. I want to provide the best care for your pet, your home, and you. Leaving your animal behind is very stressful and can be sad. The last thing you want is to worry about is your pet while you’re away. I want to add, I can do doggie day care within your home. My living situation isn’t the most ideal to keep dogs at my home. I am medically retired from the Air Force. I do not work so I have all the time in the world. :) I just moved to Livingston, Texas! I haven’t worked with Rover since 2021-2022 when I lived in Florida but I decided I needed some form of a schedule so here I am. If your dog likes running I have a leash that I can take them running. If they like chasing a ball, I can bring my ball thrower and make sure they get lots of exercise. I can accommodate to anything! Communication is the key to make a great experience :)

I also provide plenty of communication, photos, and updates so owners can feel at ease while they’re away. About: Hello! I’m Kas I’m located in 77328. I pet and house sit around Conroe, Willis, Kingwood, Montgomery. My radius is around 40-50 minutes from my home address with some flexibility as I am willing and able to travel beyond the area. Every household is different, so I take the time at a meet and greet to understand your pet’s routine, personality, and individual needs. Whether your pets enjoy quiet companionship, being a little shadow and keeping their carer in line of sight, yard time, regular walks in the neighborhood, playtime, medication support, or simply having someone nearby while you’re away, for whatever reason, I’ll tailor my care to help them and you feel secure and confident. My focus is on maintaining your pet’s home routine and providing loving, attentive, personalized care. Clients describe me as calm, trustworthy, attentive, respectful, organized, and the sort of person who genuinely cares for a home. My goal is simple: for you to return home to happy, relaxed pets, looking forward to seeing you, a tidy and well-cared-for home, and the confidence that everything has been looked after while you were away. I’d love to meet you—and your furry family members! Call me to arrange a meet and greet to check our compatibility. Pet care fits comfortably into my weekly routine, as my main occupation. With grown sons I am not yet an empty nester, but my schedule allows me to provide attentive, personalized care in your pet’s own home. I’m able to accommodate drop-in visits (30/60 minute), whole day-care from 8am to 6pm, extended house-sitting bookings, single overnight stays, long-weekends and week long or more; care tailored to your pet’s normal routine. During house-sitting bookings, your home can be my primary base, allowing your pets to enjoy familiar surroundings while receiving calm, consistent companionship with one single person. Through my married life (25 years) my husband and I had a beagle who passed at age 15, and our two sons. Starting pet sitting has been a blessing for me in this transition phase I’m in waiting for my young adult sons to move out of home. I believe pets are happiest when they can remain in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by familiar sights, smells and routines. You’ll find me to be calm, attentive and respectful of both your pets and your home. I care for every household as though it were my own, taking time to learn each pet’s personality, routines and preferences. I particularly enjoy caring for companion dogs and cats who love being close to people, whether that’s sharing quiet company while I read, relaxing nearby while I work on my laptop, or spending time outdoors together in the yard or on a walk. I am willing to transport dogs or cats in my car however this is something to negotiate. I can transfer to an airport or drive a few hours to a new location for those who are away for vacation or moving house with negotiation. My goal is for your pets to feel safe, settled and loved while you’re away.

About: We are a new family of three and are preparing to add a wired hair fox terrier in the near future. We had a family dog when I was young but he sadly passed away due to old age. My husband and son love dogs and all animals. His previous pair of dogs was sadly stolen from him and he hasn’t been ready to get another pet. That recently changed when our son started showing extreme interest in dogs and other animals. We want to test the waters with dog boarding and walking to see before committing. For us, a pet is forever. I work from home and my work is flexible. I can accommodate changes in schedule. My office is in the galleria area and my house is in humble. I can do dog walks in the galleria area as well. I have a fenced backyard and empty rooms to house the dogs if they need to have their own space. We live in a very friendly neighborhood and parks nearby.

About: I've taken care of many cats and dogs from my own, family and friends', fosters, animal shelters... the list goes on. I love animals. I have an apple head chihuahua (7 years old) and 2 GSD-Malinois puppies that are 5 months old. I'm the sitter that sends consistent pictures, updates, and pays 24/7 attention to your babies. I want to be the person that puts you at ease, as I know how it feels to be worried about leaving your babies. Hoping to find furry friends for my puppies too! EVERY. DAY. My older chihuahua is very low maintenance, but my GSD-Malinois puppies are extremely needy. We're very active, outside every 2 hours at least, tennis balls, tug-o-war, treat training, dog walks, and hug and kisses time. Depends on the age, but, first and foremost, is check the floor and keep my belongings out of reach. Give the pets space and time to adjust, offer some treats, and follow your pet's lead- both in my home or yours. Everything revolves around the baby.

About: Anyone can watch a pet. I build trust. For over 20 years, I've dedicated my life to understanding animal behavior—not just checking off a to-do list. Because the best pet care isn't just about showing up—it's about making them feel safe, understood, and genuinely loved. My flexible schedule allows me to provide reliable, personalized care when your pets need it most. I plan my days around each pet's routine, and for homes or pets requiring one-on-one attention, I have dependable childcare arranged so every visit receives my full focus and care. About: I have worked with dogs for 6 years, I own two dogs as well. A German Shepherd/Belgian Maliniois named Dex he is 5 years old and he has so much energy but is the biggest friendly fur ball. I also have a Cavachon named Dakota, he is 3 years old and he a couch potato inside and a dare devil outside. I work at a doggy daycare currently so I’ve worked with various breeds and I understand that you can not judge a dog based on breed. I also worked with temperaments and personality as well, I can manage the behaviors if walks are taking. I’m also in vet tech school so I’m currently learning more about dogs such as health issues and signs. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom, which allows me to provide your furry family members with attentive, loving care throughout the day. Your pets will be closely monitored and cared for 24/7 in a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment. I’ll treat your pets like family and make sure they receive plenty of love, attention, and care while you’re away. I provide a safe, loving, and comfortable home for every pup in my care. Crates are only used for feeding if needed, and the rest of the time your furry friend is free to roam and relax. My home also has security cameras for added peace of mind. Your pup will enjoy walks, plenty of attention, and lots of love while they’re with me. I respect each pups routine and personality, and fresh water is always available to keep them happy and comfortable.

FAQs for Dog Walking - Shepherd

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Shepherd. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route , the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poop breaks recorded by the walker.

The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Shepherd after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.

Have specific details you would like included? Message your dog walker in the app before the walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .

walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
