“Thanks so much, Deborah! Cora and Ruger just love you, and I never had to worry about my puppies with you coming by every day to walk them and give them some much needed mid-day attention and treats! So happy to have found you on Rover!!!”

“At last minute, Deborah made herself available to watch my crew. I am SO glad she did. My nervous dog and bird were obviously very well engaged while I was away, as they didn’t seem to miss me at all once I returned. ? Deborah went above and beyond with her care of them and I’m so grateful I found her! Will def hire again.”

About: With over 15 years of hands-on experience in animal care, I am dedicated to providing exceptional, knowledgeable, and compassionate care for your pets while you're away. My background spans nearly every aspect of the animal industry, beginning at my family's dog grooming salon, which has proudly served the community for over 30 years. Throughout my career, I have held positions including Regional Manager of Vetco (Petco's veterinary service) for North Florida, Supervisor at Pet Paradise Resort, Large Animal Veterinary Technician, Small Animal Veterinary Assistant, and Veterinary Receptionist. I have also cared for livestock and exotics while working at an equine boarding facility responsible for over 20 horses, as well as goats, pigs, and other farm animals. My experience extends far beyond dogs and cats, allowing me to confidently care for household pets, exotic animals, and livestock alike. Whether your pet requires a specialized diet, medication administration, medical monitoring, or simply extra attention and affection, I am committed to ensuring they receive the highest level of care. In addition to my animal care background, I currently work for the Sheriff's Office. This provides pet owners with added peace of mind knowing that a trusted, responsible professional is caring for both their pets and keeping a watchful eye on their home while they are away. I maintain continuing education certifications in Canine & Feline CPR and First Aid, Equine Emergency First Aid, and numerous other animal care certifications that I am happy to provide upon request. Combined with an extensive list of highly regarded references, my goal is to make every pet parent feel completely at ease when entrusting me with their beloved animals. I am always happy to accommodate special requests, unique care needs, medications, medical conditions, and individualized routines. I look forward to meeting you and your furry, feathered, or hoofed family members! With my position at work, my schedule fairly open to being very flexible with advance notice. I am happy to make adjustments as needed in order for pet parents to be happy and comfortable with the amount of visits/time spent with their pets while away. Depending on the pet parents wants/requests I am more than happy to spend extended periods of time exercising, walking, caring for their furry loved ones. I keep detailed and extensive notes on each client I have in order to achieve the highest quality/personalized care possible. Working for the local Sheriff's Office I can ensure a safe and trusted caregiver for your furry family members.
About: Ever since I was young I have loved animals of all kinds. I have 2 medium dogs of my own and I sometimes tell my husband that the dog is my spirit animal. I have experience watching several furry friends at once, but also available for private boarding with advanced notice. If you need help from a trusted source, don’t hesitate to send me a message. I am a remote worker and available to watch your furry friends anytime Monday through Sunday. I am also available for holiday request as well! I am compassionate and loving by nature, but I’m also very organized. You can trust that your furry friends are well taken care of and we hope they want to come back. I have a fenced in back yard with a garden and plenty of space to run around. I also like to take your furry friends on one of my daily walks through the neighborhood.
About: Hi! I’m your pet’s new favorite human 🐾 I treat every fur baby like they’re my own—lots of love, attention, playtime, and snuggles (if they’re into that!). I’m super patient, reliable, and great at picking up on each pet’s unique personality and needs. I also have a background in childcare, working in multiple child care settings and holding a CDA (Child Development Associate), so I’m naturally nurturing, attentive, and big on routines and safety. Whether it’s a shy cat or an energetic pup, I make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits easily into my routine! I only work about 3 days a week from 9–5, so I have plenty of flexibility and time to give pets the attention they deserve. I provide personalized care based on each pet’s routine and needs. In my home, pets enjoy a safe, clean space with a fenced yard for playtime, plus lots of love and attention. I also have a friendly 3-year-old Shih Tzu who loves other animals and makes a great companion. In a client’s home, I stick closely to your pet’s normal routine
About: My family has owned numerous of dogs in our large family. From my Uncle's Dobermann trio to my mother small Pomsky (Pomeranian and Husky mix) I've taken care of them all. The dogs in our family are tired of me before I've run out of steam to play or walk. I own five cats at the moment though one of them acts like a caine. My cats are friendly and mind their business when I overnight board my mother's Pomsky or my sister's Old lab mix girl for a few days. Cleaning after animals do not bother me. I daily change 6 cat litter boxes. When I'm left clear instructions the job is done efficiently every time. I work from home full time and I'm awake before the sun come up. I'm ready to get the job done early and my job is flexible about my breaks. I can visit your pets anytime designated as I have my own vehicle. I have a open yard that's not fenced in though only one neighbor with a dog behind a fence. I'm working to fence my yard in the future as I like the idea to give sitted dogs that open space. For now know your dog will become part of my workouts and I love to walk about 3-5 miles daily. At my home your dog will be welcome to chill with us though during the night will board in the spare room in or out of any provided crates.
“Kylie was super easy to work with and did a great job of feeding our kitties while we were out of town. The photo updates gave us peace of mind. She even went the extra mile and provided photos of her playing with them! Would definitely use her again.”

“Taylor took excellent care of Apollo! She stayed longer than expected and he was obviously well cared for. She cleaned up after him and even did the few dishes in the sink we forgot to clean!”

“JoAnna really went above and beyond to care for my dog when I suddenly needed to leave town for a weekend. She was flexible, communicative, and very easy to work with. I highly, highly recommend her!!”
About: I ran a pet nutritional building for two years, I also was in charge of feline foster care, as well as walking dogs in our neighborhood in Pennsylvania. I have a soft spot for animals of all kinds. Daytime hours are preferred, willing to do nights for comeback clients. I’m located in lancaster so depends on how far the drive. Whatever is most convenient for your needs. I do not normally do in-home pet care, I will sit during the day, but I will not do overnights in house unless special request. I will do walks, and drop in visits make sure your baby gets lots of energy burnt out.
About: As a child/teen, I walked, fed, bathed and walked pets for my friends, family and neighbors. My family has always had multiple pets of all sorts. Animal loving runs in my blood! Although I work full time (M-F 8-5), my lunch breaks are flexible and I will work those around whatever is needed of me. I also do drop ins and walks after 5:00. Weekends are very open. I promise to follow any guidelines, restrictions, etc you have set for your pet. Pets are family. I have my own and treat them the same as my children & how I would want someone to take care of my family.
“Myranda was terrific! She took wonderful care of our two cats, sent us photos for each visit, and kept us informed the entire time. We would definitely recommend her services and use her for our next trip!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Shell Bluff. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
