âJennie was wonderful. She sent us pictures of Bunny each time she came and made sure she was well fed. When our water went out while we were gone due to a broken well pipe, she contacted us immediately and brought over water for my cat. Iâd definitely recommend her and will call her again.â

âI actually thought I had already left one. But Iâll definitely reply again. Lindsey was very good with all the kitties. Finally was able to get the kitten to lose some of his shyness. She was always timely and sent pics of them in their spaces. Iâd definitely like to use her again.â

âMonique was fantastic when she watched Stubbs and Atticus. She came by for a meet and greet before the sitting dates. She sent us updates and photos and the pups were in great spirits when we came home. Weâll definitely use her again in the future!â

âCandace was amazing with our two cats!! She was very communicative, attentive and went out of her way so that both our cats and we felt good during the holidays. Would recommend and hire her to take care of our pets again 1000%. So so grateful!â

âMaria did a great job with drop-in visits for my 2 cats. I appreciated that she communicated often with updates and that she was dependable. My social girl took right to her and my shy boy even came out to play on the last day.â

About: Iâve had pets ever since I was really young and always wanted to get into the field of working with animals. Iâve taken care of a variety of animals from dogs to bunnies to guinea pigs and almost all of them have lived a very long life. Iâm always excited to see any animal and work with them no matter what kind they are. I look forward to seeing every animal that comes my way and taking care of them as if they wear my own. I am currently working a part-time job, but I hope to transition to make this my part-time job. I am available and home every day of the week except Sunday (when I make this job my only job) and Iâm home almost every hour and I will always make time for your pet. Well, the yard is on a hill and not fenced. I do have one dog three years old very friendly to keep any animal company. And if your dog needs to be in a crate. I can very much do that.
About: As I partner with pet parents, I look forward to welcoming and honoring each pet's spirit and unique needs. Growing up with animals taught me how to truly listen to these sacred beings and notice the subtle ways they communicate. I can promise that I will show up for every animal trusted in my care the way I'd want someone to show up for mine: with patience, presence, and a whole lot of love. I am an artist with the ability to easily move my schedule around. I look forward to walking, boarding, and supporting pet parents with any care needs that arise. I have a fenced in yard and a clean, quiet home. When caring for dogs, I look for opportunities to engage in play as often as possible both to bond with your fur baby and to ensure they are having fun!
About: My first born child is my 9 year old Golden Luna. I love dogs of all shapes, sizes, colors, and personalities. Iâd love to help care for yours! I work from home full time and am flexible to be able to check in at your home, go for walks, or have them with me. I have a fenced in yard that is safe for pets and am happy to accommodate any needs you may have. Crates are welcome if needed.
About: Caring for animals is something that runs in my family both my mother and my aunt are deeply involved in various rescues including but not limited to puppers, cats, even spiders of all shapes and sizes. We treat our fur babies like one of us and they are definitely part of the family. We will spend lots of time together walking through open fields and woods playing fetch if they are into those kinds of things Iâm also ok with just sitting and sun bathing, we go fishing if the weather is nice. They will never have to worry about being alone or being forgotten or scared because I will be there any time they need. Lap dogs and cuddle buddies are always welcome !!
About: I love cats. Especially the type that wants to curl up next to me. Do to my boyfriend having an allergy to cats we currently donât have any. But I donât mind dropping in and taking care of the fur babies. Iâm currently a 911 Dispatcher for Transylvania County. I work every other week there. (Week on; week off) I will post my monthly schedules that way you can know if Iâm a best fit for you. I would prefer not to have other dogs at my home. Due to one of my dogs not being all that friendly. But do not mind going to other homes and taking care of dogs through out the week.
âAmie did a fantastic job with our two dogs. We actually had to change the times of her visits after the first day because of poor planning on our parts. Amie was able and willing to roll with the changes. Will be using her services again!â

About: Iâve had at least one pet in my life since I was born. Mostly cats, we had 7 cats at one point, we now have 5. We used to have 2 dogs, but unfortunately one named Brownie passed recently after a very long fight with heart worms. Iâm used to all kinds pets with different personalities, ages, sizes and medical issues. One of our cats Campbell lived to be 20 years old. We fostered one cat who was blind in one eye, and another we adopted was an older cat that was both blind and deaf. Awhile ago one of our cat Penny ended up very sick and we had to give her 2 shots a day and multiple medications, she is now a healthy and happy kitty. I have also dog sat for my sisters 2 cane corsos more times than I can count, so I am comfortable around big dogs. I am currently working part time, but I am going to have to end my job there soon due to it being too laborious on my scoliosis and am planning to dedicate my time to taking care of your fuzzy family instead. I eventually will be doing Rover full time, but for now I will only be available on Thursdays and fridays. In my home, we take our dog on walks 2-3 times a day, always on leash. We also clean our litter boxes at least once a day, and we have multiple litter boxes around our house. We have 2 set meal times with our animals that consist of mostly wet food for a healthy diet and some dry food to help clean their teeth (also any medicine they need). They also have âtreat timeâ every night before bed where we throw treats around the house for them to chase. All of our animals have been fixed, has their shots and is given flea and tick medicine. We also have tons of different toys for all our babies, any with string or feathers is put away when not in use, and is only used with supervision. We also keep our house as clean as possible since our dog (even though he has like 100 toys lol) likes to get into things and chew them, so we are very conscious about that.
About: I have not only been professionally pet sitting for one year, but I have been a lifetime pet owner. I specialize in exotic pets such as rabbits, reptiles, and birds. I have been a cat owner for 13 years and I am very familiar with German Shepherds. No pet is too big, too small, or too unique. I am currently a full-time student and I work a part-time job. I am available Friday - Sunday, and certain times on weekdays, except for Tuesday. Please reach out for more specific scheduling. I will always ensure that front and back doors, fences, and yard gates are closed/secure at all times so your pet does not escape. If your pet is required to stay in a crate, I will always make sure the crate is clean and secure. Dogs will always wear a harness with a leash to ensure extra safety.
About: I have been around all types of animals and pets my whole life. I don't mind taking care of any type of pet you may have from babys to seniors, cats of all breeds and dogs of all breeds and sizes. Iâm also good with taking care of other domestic pets, exotic pets and farm animals. I only work part time so I have a lot of extra time to care for animals and enjoy being outdoors walking, biking and hiking. I can also just enjoy sitting on the porch with a cat in my lap and a dog at my feet. Iâm not doing in home or boarding at this time and may offer to stay at your house with your pet in the future

âJessica was amazing! Such great energy and we felt comfortable immediately when she arrived for a meet and greet. She dropped in on Dennis and he was well taken care of while we gone...and super happy and not stressed when we returned. I really hope she will help us out again some time.â

About: I am need of full time employment and have been pet sitting for friends and family for over ten years now. I absolutely love dogs and spending time with them because their love is unconditional. I grew up helping take care of my family's dog for about fourteen years and then helped raise a puppy who is turning ten in October. I enjoy being around dogs and playing with them so I feel like this is going to be the right gig for me. I am very positive and outgoing and love spending time outside. I'm currently unemployed and hoping to pick up as many gigs as I can to get a new routine started as I settled in a new location. I adjust based on the animal's needs. Some dogs I've watched have been incredibly more active and needing of attention than others, as well as cats. It's all about hearing what the owner needs for their pets while they're away to ease any anxiety they have of leaving them.

âElizabeth was an awesome companion for Danny! She visited everyday for a week and gave my kitty the love he deserves. Super reliable, and great pictures and notes after each visit.â

Louise took great care of my kitties! She came each day, gave them outside time on the deck, and left my kitchen spotless. She rinsed the food tins out and put them in the recycling. She also found my broom and swept around the litter boxes. I didn't expect either of these, and I appreciated the extra effort. I had peace of mind as I traveled, knowing she was visiting them daily, giving them pets and love.

As a first time user of Rover, I couldnât have asked for a better experience than the one I had with Hannah. She was conscientious, consistent, communicative, and caring. We have quite the menagerie and Hannah looked after each one with such care and attention. I highly recommend leaving your furry loved ones in her care. Thanks again, Hannah.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your catsâ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, donât forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sega Lake. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
