Lilianais is an absolute dream sitter. I cannot recommend her enough. As nervous dog parents, she was incredible. Our two Shih Tzu puppies and our Corgi mix loved her. Our home and our babies were so well taken care of and our experience with Lilanais was fantastic.

Monica is a wonderful option for house sitting or any dog sitting needs you have. She took time and care to get to know my pup and make sure all three of us were comfortable and the right fit. That in of itself meant more than anything. She is highly recommended!

Whitney was so amazing! I am a very type A dog mom who hates to leave her dogs at any cost and she was so wonderful - she followed every instruction I gave and kept me posted on how my babies were doing while I was gone. She kept the house in perfect condition as well! Every single time I leave my dogs I am worried sick about them the whole time and this is the first time I’ve ever not worried about them! I would 10/10 recommend hiring her to care for your dogs if you are looking for the best pet sitter!!

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals on my family’s farm over the past 8 years. I've helped take care of dogs, cats, horses, goats, and cows, which has taught me a strong sense of responsibility, patience, and how to handle animals with different needs and temperaments. As a college student home for the summer, I fit pet care into my daily routine by planning around my work schedule and training. I work as a lifeguard in Temple and I'm a college athlete so I must get my workout in each day. I make time for feeding, walking, or checking in on pets, depending on what's needed. My schedule is flexible in the summer months. I ensure they have a clean, safe, and comfortable environment, with fresh water, proper feeding schedules, and plenty of love and attention. I follow any specific instructions provided by the owner, including medication, dietary needs, or favorite toys and activities. Whether it’s a walk, playtime, or simply offering companionship, I prioritize each pet’s well-being as if they were my own.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have about 12 years of experience caring for them. I’ve helped neighbors, friends, and family with walking, feeding, bathing, and watching their pets while they’re away. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels, from puppies to older dogs that need a little extra care. I take the time to make sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I’m also reliable and will keep you updated so you always know your pet is in good hands. I’m currently a college student with a flexible schedule, so I’m able to give your pet plenty of attention and care throughout the day. I’m available most weekdays and weekends for house sitting, and I can adjust my schedule as needed to fit your pet’s routine. I make sure pets get regular potty breaks, exercise, and attention so they feel comfortable while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, and any special instructions. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and can crate if needed. I keep a clean and safe environment and make sure pets are always supervised. I also provide regular updates and photos so you know your pet is doing well.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life, mostly my own and some family friends’ when they go on vacation. I’ve mostly dealt with smaller dogs but I have no problem with larger dogs. I currently own two dogs and one is a senior dog so he requires a little more attention. I can do basic care such as feeding and going for walks but I can also bathe if necessary. I currently work part-time and am in school for my bachelor’s degree. I’m taking a few summer courses but they are online so they don’t require too much of my time. My work schedule is relatively flexible as long as I have some time to work things out. I’ve done feeding and walks, whether it be for the restroom or just to get some exercise in. I live in a house with a large fenced backyard so my dogs are able to freely roam so they don’t like to go on walks much but we do take them out from time to time. I also play outside with them on a daily basis since they enjoy that. I usually bathe and groom my own dogs as well as some other dogs people have asked me to do.

Whether it’s morning walks, playtime, feeding, or evening check-ins, I make sure every pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, and care throughout the day. About: I have taken care of animals my whole life. As a kid, I had pet rabbits, which required special care and maintenance. Due to this, I am used to working with unconventional pets and caring for them. I also have experience with senior dogs and dogs that require daily doses of medicine. I am a student who mainly takes online courses, which means I can be with your furry friend for the majority of the day and week. This also means on weekends I can prioritize your pets and their care. I set many alarms and reminders to ensure that feeding times stay consistent. As well as I am comfortable crating dogs and other animals. I also always leave time to give any affectionate pets the love and attention they deserve.

About: I am new to rover and looking to grow experience. My services are walks ( or even runs as I enjoy running!) and drop in visits. Since I work at the hospital during the day, I would drop in early in the morning, lunch break and/or evening visits. I’ve had pets of my own + I use to work in a pet care and spa for a bit. I would love too help you get great care for your fur babies!! I am currently full time at a hospital but looking to help with evening or overnight care. However, feel free to reach out as I do have off days here and there. Communication is the best form of care. You let me know what your pet needs and I am there! I am happy to provide a caring and nurturing environment for your pet.

Our first time using a house sitting service for our babies and it was definitely a 5 star experience! From the meet and greet we could tell Samson was perfect for our pups. He was very active with communication- sending pics/videos and gave plenty of love to our two babies. We were very nervous leaving our pups for so long for the first time ever but Samson made that go away and we were able to enjoy our trip with the peace of mind that our pups were in the best hands! We would highly recommend Samson for all your Rover needs! Thank you so much Samson!

I’ve spent a lot of time around dogs, cats, and other small animals, and I’m comfortable handling feeding schedules, exercise, playtime, and basic care routines. I have a fenced in backyard with plenty of room. I also live in a reasonably sized home and have two young children that will love and play with them. About: I'm Aubreya and I work from home as a financial analyst. My friends and family have referred to me as a dog whisperer, as I tend to immediately fall in love and build great relationships with fur babies! Plus I know all the best spots to scratch! Over the years I have been a reliable pet-sitter for many friends, neighbors and family members and I would love the opportunity to do the same for you. I currently have a 6 y/o yorkie-schnauzer and a 5 y/o great pyrenees-springer spaniel. My care giving style is relaxed, attentive and loving. FAQs for House Sitting - Seaton

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of June 2026, there are 387 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Seaton. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Seaton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Seaton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Seaton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Seaton. On Rover:

  • 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
