About: 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐌𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐲 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 Hi, I'm Kiley! My entire pet care focus is dedicated to providing premium, attentive care exactly where your pets are most comfortable: right in their own home. Whether it's an energetic neighborhood walk, a midday drop-in, or overnight house sitting, I bring a high level of professionalism, reliability, and detail-oriented care to your pet's familiar routine. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐌𝐞? I believe pet care should be a stress-free, premium experience for both you and your furry family members. When you book with me, you aren’t just getting someone to check a box, you’re getting a dedicated caretaker who treats your home and pets with the utmost respect. 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 *𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞*: 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝑼𝒑𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔: You will receive frequent, bright, high-quality photo updates during our time together so you never have to wonder how your pet is doing. 𝑨 𝑭𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒈𝒆 𝑲𝒆𝒆𝒑𝒔𝒂𝒌𝒆: At the end of my time with your pet, I print out one of our best photos, turn it into a custom magnet, and leave it on your fridge as a permanent keepsake. 𝑨 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌-𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝑻𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕: Along with a handwritten wrap-up note, I always leave a complimentary fresh-baked treat from my bakery for you to enjoy when you get home! My personal and professional experience includes managing **feline diabetes**, tracking **strict prescription urinary diets**, and caring for sweet cats with **Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH)**. 𝑪𝒂𝒕𝒔 𝑾𝒆𝒍𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝑯𝒆𝒓𝒆: As a dedicated cat parent to four rescues of my own, I speak "fluent feline." I understand how to read cat body language, handle complex weight-management schedules, and give them the exact space, pacing, or affection they need on their own terms. 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒅 𝑫𝒐𝒈 𝑾𝒂𝒍𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈: I have years of experience walking dogs of various sizes and energy levels, keeping them safe, engaged, and thoroughly exercised. Your keys, codes, and home are entirely safe in my hands. I can't wait to meet you and your pets! Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a Meet & Greet. I operate a small cottage bakery full-time, which gives me excellent flexibility throughout the week! My primary baking days are Thursdays and Fridays. Outside of those specific baking windows, my schedule is completely open and flexible for midday walks, drop-in visits, and plenty of focused attention for your pets on weekends and early-to-mid-week days. Because I run an active home kitchen, I provide care exclusively in your pet's familiar, comfortable home environment. My background in local law enforcement communications means I prioritize home security, strict adherence to instruction, and safety above all else. Your keys, home access codes, and pet safety are handled with the highest level of professional responsibility. I treat your space with complete respect while ensuring your pets remain safe, happy, and relaxed.

About: Hi! I’ve been a pet owner my entire life and caring for animals is truly second nature to me. I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages, personalities, and energy levels. I also have medical care experience, so I’m comfortable administering medications, monitoring pets closely, and giving extra attention to senior pets or those with special needs. In addition to pet sitting, I’ve spent time fostering and helping with rescue animals, which means I’m patient with shy, anxious, or newly adopted pets and understand how important routine and trust are. When your pet stays with me or I care for them in your home, you can expect: • Lots of love, playtime, and attention • Regular photo and update messages 📸 • Care that follows your pet’s normal routine • A calm, safe, and reliable environment My goal is simple: make your pet feel comfortable and loved while you’re away. Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine since I’ve been a pet owner my entire life. My days are structured around feeding times, walks, playtime, and making sure pets get plenty of attention and companionship. I make it a priority to maintain each pet’s normal routine, whether that means scheduled walks, medication times, or quiet cuddle time. Because I have experience with foster and rescue animals, I’m also used to adjusting my schedule to meet different needs, from energetic pets who love activity to shy pets who need a calmer approach. Pet sitting fits seamlessly into my week, and I always make sure pets in my care receive consistent attention, exercise, and regular updates to their owners so they know their pets are safe and happy. I have a larger, fenced yard for playtime a friendly pup who is always looking for a playmate as well as an old lady who loves nap buddies. I live in a quiet neighborhood that is ideal for walks because it is less traveled.

About: Hi! I’m Izzy, a passionate pet-lover who can provide care for your fur-babies. I’ve been a dog mom for quite some time, 7+ years. I am experienced with caring for senior dogs, reactive dogs (any size), cats, and puppies. Whether your pet may need high-energy walks, playtime, calm walks, feeding, or simply a cozy companionship while you’re away, I’ve got you covered! I understand the importance of peace of mind when leaving your pet with another. That is why I always follow a routine, clarify directions for care for your pet, precise on feeding schedules, and ensure your pet feels safe and welcome. With my late baby, my lab/pitt mix Levi, I got to intern as a dog trainer to learn techniques to help with my dog’s reactivity, obedience training, and leash training. I am extremely patient and overall want to continue to share my love for animals through my sitting services. The services I offer are: - Dog walking: 30-60 minutes around the neighborhood tailored to your specific dogs’ needs and pace. - Drop In Visits: feeding, fresh water, litter box change, yard waste pickup, and play/cuddle indoor or outdoor time. - Overnight House-sitting: full overnight care in your home to keep your pet comfortable within their regular routine. I am extremely excited to start using Rover to expand my care and love for animals! I’m currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time to do leash walks, playtime, feeding, litter box changes, and more throught my day. I am currently available Wednesday - Sunday at any time depending on the schedule you may need. I will not be offering my home to clients but will be happy to pet-sit in yours. Safety with any animal is priority, as their safety and mine is my first step when pet-sitting. I always check home codes, fences/gates on outdoor yard playtime, and proper space between several pets in a home (if noted/required). During playtime, I am always consistent with checking toys/bones throughout to ensure there are no choking hazards. During leashed walks, I always take note of your animals temperament and comfortability with me as their walker. Looking out for warning signs with me or any other animals on our walks.
“We've booked Sara four times so far. She is consistently thorough, flexible, and responsive. I have peace of mind during a trip, knowing that Sara is taking care of our pets.”

About: I currently work as a bather at a grooming salon where I regularly work with dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Additionally, I have worked as a vet assistant at a veterinary hospital in Fredericksburg ,at dog daycares, and at boarding facilities in the past, as well as have personally owned and cared for dogs and cats my entire life! I currently work full-time at a grooming salon, but I find time while I’m off to care for pets! My schedule is available on my page. I have the utmost respect for both your home and your furry family members. As such, I treat every client, pet, and their property as if they belonged to family.
“Stephanie has been with us for the past year and a half and we have certainly enjoyed her as our sitter. Both Fenway and I will miss her so much. I highly recommend her for taking care of your pets!!!”

“Jessica was great. She managed to get my dogs to go out in the rain (which they did not want to do!). Even my cat was comfortable with her right away and he’s usually a little skittish with new people. I will definitely be booking with her in the future.”

About: I think one of the biggest things we owe to our dogs is to make sure their needs are well met! Whether they're a timid pup, an outgoing ball of energy, a 24/7 cuddlebug, or a dog who requires a lot of mental stimulation, I've got them covered. Let me treat your pets like I would my own! Best times for scheduling are: From 4pm on - Tuesday thru Thursday Flexible Availability - Mondays and Fridays Total Availability - Majority of Saturdays and Sundays I am comfortable working with your environment to keep your pet happy and safe! Whether that be with a combo harness/collar setup, a gated backyard, a favorite neighborhood, or even something as simple as puppy pads or gates, just communicate your needs!

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have always had a genuine love for animals. I currently have dogs of my own, so I understand the responsibility, patience, and attention that goes into caring for them. I’m comfortable with different personalities, energy levels and routines, and I treat every dog like my own. I’m dependable, attentive, and want every pet in my care to feel safe, comfortable and loved while their owners are away. I work full-time and typically go in around 9 am, which gives me the flexibility to help with pets before work when needed, including morning walks, feeding, or drop in visits. Most my evenings after work I am free and available to spend time with pets, and I generally have good availability on weekends as well. I’m flexible and happy to work with each owners schedule and their pets routine, whether that means an early morning visit or weekend sitting. I have a fully fenced-in back yard where dogs can safely get outside, play, and enjoy some fresh air. I also have amazing dogs who are friendly and who love to play and are always excited to have company. I also understand every dog is different, though, so I am happy to follow your pets specific routine and comfort level. If your dog needs personal space, prefers to be separated from other dogs, or is crate trained, I am also completely comfortable crating your dog when needed and making sure they have a safe, comfortable environment throughout their stay.
About: I have taken care of all kinds of dogs and cats from all walks of life and at all stages of life for the last twelve years! I am currently working part-time, so am flexible with scheduling for both weekdays and weekends during the day and evenings, as well! I am also available for overnight sitting. In my experience, each doggo and kitty has their own needs, which help them flourish best, so I abide by each fur baby’s routine and comfort level!
About: Hi there! My name is Sam and I have experience sitting for all types of animals. From cuddly Pyrenees, and scary-smart German pinschers, to spunky chinchillas, their best cat friends, and curious pythons. I have been through partial behavioral training for dogs (and their humans), and have experience with animal hospice situations, as well as behaviorally aggressive dogs. I prefer to keep the animal's care as consistent as possible. The more details you have of your preferred method of walking, reward, or preparation habits, the better. Trust and care are my number one goals when it comes to animal sitting. Not just with the four legged babies, but with the parents as well. I know how important it is to feel comfortable with your care provider, and what a treat it is to know that you can trust someone with the care of your loved ones. Also, aren't dogs just perfect? I work for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and am currently on telework, so my weekly availability is early morning, and late afternoon. I also volunteer at the Old Dominion Humaine Society and occasionally foster for them at my house. I have one <1 year old puppy, and I have a home with a large yard but no fence. That means all foster dogs get leash walked always and there are many mind teaser toys for rainy days. I feed in crates and make it a safe space for them to decompress.
About: I have experience caring for cats and kittens at an animal hospital, where I was responsible for cleaning litter boxes, feeding, providing fresh water, and offering comfort and companionship. I’m also comfortable administering medications if needed. In addition, I’ve cared for my own cats over the years, and I truly adore them. I’m patient, attentive, and passionate about making sure every cat feels safe and loved I’m available every weekend as well as mondays and tuesdays! I’m also happy to work upon request—just let me know in advance so I can plan accordingly. I have the time and heart to care for and love on your furry friend! This is what I LOVE to do! I have one cat in my home that gets along with other cats and dogs! Pets are family and they deserve to be treated as such!
“This was our first time using Melissa, but she was great! Came in exactly when expected, stayed and played with our pup, and provided pictures. I didn’t worry once while we were gone. We’ll definitely be using her services again!”

About: Hello! I'm a senior at Virginia Tech majoring in animal science. I’m taking classes over the summer so rather than working at another vet clinic, I decided to petsit so I have more time to study. I have been working on and off at vet clinics during school breaks for 4 years and I can't wait to meet you and your precious children (pets)! I will be available almost any time, given that most of my classes are virtual right now. Thankfully that means I have more time to hang with your pups! I live with a cat, and I try to limit her interactions with new pets as this tends to stress her out, so my availability is mostly directed at coming to your house to take care of your dogs and cats or take your animals on walks.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
