“Kirk is amazing! He took great care of my dogs, Zack and Kaia while we were gone for the day. He sent lots of updates and gave them plenty of time to play and get their energy out! They were happy and content when we got home. Kirk is great with strong dogs and I highly recommend him! I’m very thankful that we found a local sitter to handle our crazy kids!”

Julia was very welcoming and kind that it made us comfortable. We were gone for 2 1/2 weeks and she was responsive and detailed in her visits. About: I am an avid cat lover and owner my entire life. I have had many of my own cats and look after friends animals when needed. After just completing the entire Appalchian trail ibwas away from my cats for 6 months. Pursuing a life dream was wonderful but devastating to be away from my babies for so long. Now that I am home, they are one of my biggest priorities and the highlight of my days. I'd love to get to know and love your pets as well! I currently live and work in Bar Harbor, Maine. I am available to help locals or visitors alike for any of your pet needs. Feel free to reach out! I think each family has their own way of operating. What works best for my cats may not work for yours or even for dogs. I will follow all given instructions and guidance to make the experience the most comfortable for your pets.

About: Hello! I'm Ashley. I am 35 years old. I am from Stuart, FL. I will be returning to work and live in Bar Harbor, ME for the fall season from Sept 22 through December 1, 2026. I have always been an animal lover and if I could afford a farm and have every type of animal in it... I would. I have owned, dogs, fish, and birds. I have had dogs most of my life. I had a Jack Russell who lived to be 11 years old named Romeo...He was a ball of energy, he had eye problems and needed drops daily. I also had a Rat Terrier named Oliver, we bought him at a year old. He lived to be 14 years old. Most recently my sister currently has a mini golden doodle, who is 4 years old. I loved taking my dogs on the trails in the parks. If I didn’t travel so much, I would love a dog of my own. I work seasonal contract jobs outside the National parks, mainly in the summer season. I go walking everyday & I would love to bring your pup with me. I am renting a shared apartment so I will not be able to bring them to my place. I will happily come to your hotel or house!

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
