“Yajaira and her dog Luna are AMAZING! My dog is anxious and often scared. She met me and my dog prior to confirming the booking which worked out well. Her dog Luna is amazing with other dogs and incredibly cute. She really helped my dog feel at ease and trust the situation. Yajaira sent me multiple pictures daily, took her to the beach, administered medications and even gave her a bath. Thank you for taking such good care of her! Yajaira and Luna are definitely my go to from now on for dog boarding :) I HIGHLY recommend her services!”

“Denise is great! She even threw a birthday party for our dog while we were away. Their house is within walking distance to the beach and she took him on long walks - you can’t beat that! Definitely using her again.”

“Lauren took wonderful care of Millie over several days including the 4th of July! She was conscientious and asked great questions about her needs both during the pre stay walk/meet and greet, and before/during her stay. I heard from Lauren daily (per my request when she asked how frequent I wanted texts and pictures), and she took Millie on daily walks, the beach/river for swimming and fetch after sticks, and paid attention to how to get her settled and comfortable. Millie was very comfy there, had fun, and walked right back in when we arrived! What a blessing. Millie was worn out and calm when we came, too- such a relief as she is normally very high energy. Lauren also communicated her schedule realistically and was on time and efficient, giving us info needed to drop off and pick up, and accommodated us during her visitor staying there, which she told us ahead of time. Her close proximity to the beach/river was also a nice surprise.”

“I am so glad we chose to board our dog with Shannon! She was very responsive and sent us daily photos of our pup with updates throughout her stay. My dog was very comfortable and felt right at home. She was so happy and attached to Shannon when I picked her up. We will definitely be reaching back out for future dog sitting needs!”

“Marina was a wonderful dog sitter for my baby! We were regularly updated with pictures and texts! I will be sure to use Marina anytime we visit Santa Cruz!! I felt like my family was watching my dog, she is beyond amazing!”

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old, and I'm a recent cat mom of a little under a year. I have experience with senior dogs and cats, too. I'm currently working full-time at a school, but I'm available every weekday after 4 pm and all day on the weekends to stay the night :) I will respect your space and leave it as I found it. Communication is my top priority, so if there's an issue, I'll communicate my concern as soon as it presents itself.

About: Hi there! I have plenty of experience working with all sorts of animals, I volunteered at the SF zoo handling various small mammals, reptiles, birds, etc. I have babysitting experience under my belt as well and I know that your pet is your baby, so rest assured you are in good hands. My best friend and housemate is also a vet tech, if it eases your mind at all. I'm currently working part time as a waitress at a restaurant 4 times a week. My current schedule is Tuesdays 11-6pm, then Fridays-Sundays I work the closing shift 4-11pm. I am free all day Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays but am able to work before/after some times on the days that I work my main job! I have done husbandry care for tiny little coral, feeding them like clockwork and making sure they have all that they need, so if your animal has any dietary restrictions or allergies I am more than capable of handling all of their needs so long as instructions are provided.

I do not intended to house dogs, but in an emergency situation with the right clients, a safe environment is available.

“Thank you so much for taking care of Trixie during our recent travels. You two are the best! It's hard for us to leave Trixie, but we are always comfortable leaving her with you. And I think she settles in with you quite well! Best, Judith & Mike”

About: I’ve lived my whole life growing up with dogs in my family home, and I’ve dog sat for neighbors, family, and friends. I’ve also walked dogs around the neighborhood. I’m currently a student at UCSC. I love hiking, going to the beach, and going for walks. I’d love to have the chance to care for someone’s pet. I am available every day. I have a lot of free time to spend with people’s pets. I’m currently a student at UCSC, so pet sitting on the side would be a great chance for me to make extra money! I live in a two bedroom apartment in Santa Cruz. I have one roommate who loves animals. I also love animals. I have plenty of space for an animal to roam around and feel comfortable, and I have a space to put a crate or a dog bed. Usually when I first meet a pet, I introduce myself and try to get a sense of what the animal is feeling. If they’re shy, I give space, if they’re friendly, I’m open to cuddling for hours. Next to my apartment there is a park that I love to take the dogs I dogsit. It’s a very nice walk. If I am watching someone’s pet, they are welcome to roam around freely in my apartment if they’d like.

About: I took care of dogs since I was 8. My family taught me how to make sure the dogs are fed, given water, administering oral medications, walking; etc. I also house trained my current dog. I’m currently working part-time so I’ll have plenary of free time on my plate. I usually work in the evenings. Sometimes I get called to work when needed I take my dog out for 30-45 minute walk twice a day, gave her chew brush biscuit after each walking sessions. I checked her bowl once or twice a day to ensure her water and foods are there for her to eat. I also brush Claire’s hair once a day.

“We couldn't be happier with Natalia! Our energetic mini-goldendoodle, Rocky, had an absolutely fantastic week-long stay at her place. From the moment we dropped him off, we knew he was in great hands. Natalia's communication was outstanding – she made it incredibly easy to connect, and we especially appreciated the photo updates and sweet notes on how Rocky was enjoying his time. This allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our trip without a single worry. Her home is a doggy paradise: spotlessly clean, wonderfully spacious, and features a fantastic garden packed with toys that Rocky clearly adored. It's truly the best environment a pet could ask for. We had such a positive experience and will absolutely be rebooking Natalia for all our future dog-sitting needs!”

“Judith was an amazing sitter for Otto! He stayed for the weekend and I felt very comfortable in knowing that Judith was taking care of him as an elderly dog. He was pampered and happy!”

Cameron L.
“Cameron has been raised with hunting dogs. These are high energy, strong, extremely driven and intelligent individuals. He has been taught to respect these athletes as though they are humans, not something less. I have trusted Cameron to be alone with our pups for weeks at a time, and when I return home it is very apparent all have enjoyed the experience safely.”
