About: I’ve been taking care of dogs of all sizes of dogs since I was little! Always had dogs growing up, that’s how my parents taught me responsibly! I worked a a dog kennel before and after I had my son. I’m now taking care of my grandfather, and full time mom with time on my hands to take care of your pups! I’m currently taking care of my grandfather from 9-2 and taking care of my child! After I leave i’m available to help with your pets needs. I used to work at a boarding kennel, so I’m used to all kinds of breeds, energy levels, and sizes so I understand what it’s consumed of.
“Katie is AMAZING! She’s walks my puppy during the day so he can get some energy out and get some exercise while I’m at a work and let me just say he looks SO SO SOOOO happy in all of the pictures she sends! I love how she sends me picture of him through out the walk and a report of how the walk went! I 100% recommend Katie for any of your needs!”

About: I have been around dogs my entire life and feel very comfortable caring for them. I have also house-sat for a family before, which included caring for their dog and following their daily routine. Through this experience, I’ve learned the importance of consistency, attention, and keeping pets safe and happy while their owners are away. I’m confident handling dogs with different energy levels and personalities, and I always make sure they get plenty of care, attention, and exercise. I currently work part-time during some evenings, so my availability can vary slightly depending on my work schedule. However, I am flexible and do my best to accommodate pet care needs whenever possible. I am also available most mornings, afternoons, and weekends, and I’m happy to communicate and plan to ensure your pet gets consistent and reliable care. I prioritize safety and trust in every pet care experience. I offer services at my client’s home and do not provide boarding in my own home. This allows pets to stay in a familiar environment, which helps reduce stress and keeps their routine consistent. I am respectful of each home, follow all instructions carefully, and make sure pets are always safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away.

About: (Brand new to Rover) I’ve been around animals since the day I was born, and dogs have always felt like big, goofy, furry toddlers — full of personality, joy, and chaos in the best way. I currently live in an anti‑pet apartment (tragic, I know), so I’m looking to fill that dog‑shaped hole in my heart by being the next best thing: your pup’s reliable walking and hiking buddy. I’m an active, outdoorsy person who loves long walks, trails, and exploring. Whether your dog is a tiny ball of energy or a large, gentle giant, I’m comfortable with all sizes, temperaments, seniors, and puppies. I’m patient, confident, and genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog’s quirks. What I offer: Long walks or trail hikes for high‑energy pups Picture updates so you can see their adventures Flexible scheduling — I’m a teacher on summer break, so I’m wide open With a friendly, upbeat personality, your dog will warm up quickly If your dog needs exercise, company, or just someone who treats them like the lovable toddler they are, I’d love to help. Let’s get your pup out exploring and having fun. As a teacher on summer break, pet care fits naturally and easily into my weekly routine. I’m active every day, walking, hiking, or spending time outdoors, so adding a dog to that rhythm feels like the most joyful part of my schedule. I have plenty of flexibility, which means I can plan walks around your dog’s needs rather than squeezing them into a tight window. (ADDITION: Until May 30th, I can only walk dogs on weekends because of my teaching and coaching schedule) Since I live in an anti‑pet apartment, all of my care happens in your home or out on the trail. I treat every dog like the big furry toddler they are, with patience, structure, and a lot of enthusiasm. Here’s what my care typically looks like: Consistent routines: I follow your feeding, walking, and potty schedule exactly as you prefer. Active outings: long walks or trail hikes for dogs who need to burn energy, or gentle strolls for seniors. Safety first: secure leashing, checking gear, watching for heat, and keeping a close eye on body language. Clean and respectful home care: wiping paws, refreshing water, tidying up any messes, and leaving your home exactly as I found it. Photo updates: I send regular pictures so you can see your pup’s adventures and feel connected while you’re away. Calm companionship: whether your dog is tiny and energetic or large and mellow, I match their vibe and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. Because I’m free all summer, I can offer flexible scheduling, longer walks, and extra attention, especially for dogs who thrive on activity and routine.
“Sherry took our menagerie of dogs and cats in stride when she arrived and she handled my dog Duncan with ease during the walk. She obviously loves animals and my dog, who is sometimes shy with strangers, immediately liked her and will be happy to see her the next time she comes. I highly recommend her if you need a good caretaker for your pets.”

About: I’ve had pets basically my whole life. Dogs, a couple cats, ferrets. I’m dependable and trustworthy and I will treat them as if they were mine. I am and have been a stay at home mom for almost 15 years, and my schedule is really flexible. I look forward to working with you! I will make sure your fur baby is comfortable. We will play, do walks, whatever makes them happy. I am looking forward to meeting them!
“I was nervous having someone come into my home and take my pup on walks while I’m at work but Megan has been so great! My dog Dixie loves her! Thank you Megan for what you do! 😁”

“Thanks Alyssa. Ever since my Wife, his Mommy, passed away in April, his eating and pooping has been off sometimes. We both miss her. When it's hot he will plop down in front of the fan because I turn it on low for him...lol Thanks for taking care of my boy.”

About: I have been around dogs my entire life. There isn't a time I can remember not having dogs around my entire childhood. So, I went into a dog-centered field. I am certified as dog obedience trainer, and have worked with my parents senior Westie. I am currently staying at home, so I have a lot of time. My husband works five days a week, and I would love to have a job. Usually Monday through Thursday are good, nine to three. I am hoping to eventually be able to board dogs overnight. I love dogs. They are usually all so friendly once they know you, and I enjoy loving on them. You can rest assured I will do everything, within reason, that I can do to keep a dog safe and healthy.
“Mackenzie is great! She filled in for my regular dog walker pretty last minute, but made time to come meet my pup, Cody, beforehand and was fantastic with him -- plus extremely personable! She was very reliable and communicative; I am very grateful for her help!”

About: I have lots of experience with dogs, cats, birds, lizards, guinea pigs, and more! I have owned them my whole life for one. But I have also worked at a pet lodge for a year from 2024-2025. As well as doing lots of miscellaneous dog sitting for others. I’m currently not working, so I am free as a bird to help others with their fur babies. The more I meet with people the more I will be able to fill my time with cute pets! I treat pets as if they were my own. I give them love and attention. I make sure that all their needs are met, and complete with lots of snuggles!
About: Over the years I have worked with many different kinds of animals from house pets to farm animals to exotics. I have always had a passion for animals and grew up taking care of them. I have been working in the animal field since age 16 and currently work as an ER exotic veterinary technician student. I am employed full time, however my job allows me to bring pets into work with me should they need monitoring, time sensitive medications, etc. I am trained to handle both fearful and friendly pets as well as administering medications and monitoring overall health and behavior. If there are any special requirements or requests please let me know in advance so I can provide the best possible care for your pet.
About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I currently have 4 cats and a 4-month-old puppy, so I understand the patience, attention, and love pets need every single day. Growing up surrounded by animals taught me how to care for pets with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. From playful puppies to independent cats, I’m comfortable handling feeding schedules, walks, playtime, cleanup, and giving pets lots of affection and attention. I treat every pet like family and always make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. I currently work a flexible part-time job, which gives me plenty of time throughout the week to care for pets and give them the attention they deserve. Since I also have 4 cats and a 4-month-old puppy of my own, pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. Caring for animals comes naturally to me, and I enjoy spending my free time with them. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for whether I’m in my home or a client’s home. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality and needs, whether they’re energetic, shy, young, or older. In a client’s home, I always follow instructions carefully to keep pets on their normal routine and help them feel as stress-free and comfortable as possible while their owner is away.
About: I have experience not only pet sitting in someone’s home, but also outside of their home. I currently work as a dog bather, so I have experience with animals and handling there too! I am currently working part time, only about 20 hours a week, so I have plenty of time to give that special dog in your life a walk for you when you’re unable! Our yard is partially fenced in (half of it is fenced) and we have another dog in our house. Your dog will primarily stay with me, alone where I can watch them! And if they need to go out, I am able to take breaks when I need to to take them out.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
