“Maria and Tony took amazingly great care of both of our dogs! One of our dogs is elderly, and is blind and deaf, and they made him feel very much at home and we’re attentive to his needs. Our other dog can be a little bit salty and they showed her love and she immediately warmed up to them. Would absolutely use them again!”

“Evan and Courtney took great care of our dog when she was with them for a day. Our dog spent the day running around with Murphy and came home tired and ready to nap 😃 we highly recommend them for anyone seeking pet care services!”

About: Our family has 2 very friendly labs, Gabigool 3 y/o and Pepperoni 1 y/o. Their hobbies are running in the yard, playing fetch/tug of war and cuddling. Gabi and Pepper love making friends with other dogs! Our Cat Joni enjoys watching the dogs play from other side of the room and keeps to herself. No dog is too big or too high energy. As long as you love to play and are good with cats you'll love hanging out at Gabi and Pepper's house! "Woof woof woof" - Gabi I am a health care worker who works full-time on the weekends and am home Monday through Friday. I grew up taking care of our family dogs and now I have two of my own I absolutely love them. I am available for walks and play time Monday through friday. Our lab Pepper loves to chew and eat everything around our house so we keep it well kept and puppy proof! We have a large fenced in yard with plenty of toys to keep your dogs entertained. Gabi loves to run our fence and is always excited to invite friends to join her! Pepper is a pro at playing fetch and loves to share her toys. When its a little too cold to be outside we take fetch and tug of war inside. "Bark bark bark"- Pepper

“Laura was wonderful with our puppy! She was super communicative and provided a clean, warm, and safe space for our dog for the day. Our young puppy was well supervised, had plenty of bathroom breaks, opportunities for rest and exercise, and lots of great enrichment thanks to Laura's unique household set-up. I feel very fortunate to have found Laura as a great option to send my dog and have already booked several more dates.”

“Gregory was an awesome sitter! He was so easy to communicate with and was super laid back. He listened to my pups needs and made sure pup was happy. He has the sweetest dog (Zora) that I have ever met. I’m so glad I found Zora and Gregory. I’ve never seen my pup leave as happy as he did, this sit:)”

“Cheryl was absolutely amazing with my dog! He was a little nervous at first, but she made him feel comfortable, and he ended up really enjoying his stay. Since he's an older pup, I was naturally a bit worried about leaving him, but Cheryl kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me such peace of mind. I highly recommend Cheryl to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and compassionate to care for their furry family member. She's a 10 out of 10!”

“Dana was fantastic! She and her pups were great with our dog, making sure our Ziggy got plenty of playtime. Oh, and she was able take Ziggy on Thanksgiving Day, which was a huge plus. Will contact next time we're in town. Highly recommend! ”

“We had a great experience and highly recommend Adrienne as a sitter. She took the time to do a meet-and-greet beforehand, which helped us know this would be a good fit for everyone. During Norman’s stay, she was attentive, communicative, and sent daily updates with pictures and videos, giving us peace of mind while we were away. We also appreciated that the dogs had access to a nearby fenced-in dog park for exercise and play, as well as a separated areas in the house to relax when they needed a break from the excitement. It was clear that she genuinely cares about the dogs in her care, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.”

“I brought my two fur babies to Pittsburgh, PA to be with me while I attended my class reunion. I found Ms. Carol on Rover. Immediately when I saw her face I knew she was the one I could trust my babies with. Ms. Carol, I’m so pleased to have met you. My babies were safe, looked after as if they were hers, attended to when needed, but most importantly, welcomed into her home by her fur babies.”

“Brittany has been such a blessing for me, giving me such peace of mind knowing my pup is well cared for and happy while I'm gone. I have a rescue lab puppy - full of energy with a bit of anxiety thrown in - and she is patient and kind with him, while making sure he does what he should (or shouldn't)! My pup gets excited as we pull up in the car, and can't wait to get out! Brittany sends updates and pictures throughout the day so I can see how he's doing, and I pick up a happy, tired puppy - I feel fortunate to have found Brittany!”
“Val is an absolutely incredible dog sitter and we are so lucky to have found her. She is very flexible and communicative with us on dates and times. And most importantly, she is so so amazing with our dog Wilson. He is so excited to go over there every time and she sends so many pictures and videos which are our favorite part! They do so many different activities and Wilson loves her son so much! Cannot rave enough, thank you and see you soon!!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets for friends and family since I was a kid. I love all animals, especially dogs and cats. I can’t walk past a dog on the street without asking politely to pet them! Two years ago I rescued my dog, Stanley, who is a 24 lb terrier mix. He was abused and took a very long time to warm up, but after a lot of patience and love he’s now thriving and the best boy. I learned a lot with Stanley and feel equipped to work with shyer dogs. Stanley also likes hanging out with other dogs and would enjoy some company around the house! I currently work from home full time, so my availability is flexible. Stanley and I would be happy to have you hang out with us at my place (I’d recommend a meet and greet first). Or, I could stay at your place with your pet if that’s better for them, as long as I can have access to the WiFi so I can work. I live close to a nature trail that I take Stanley on daily, and we’re very familiar with the neighborhood. I can take frequent walk breaks and crate your pet if needed.
About: Dogs are devoted and loving companions that deserve our trust, love and affection. I provide a safe and comfortable environment and treat your pet like part of my family. I work part-time, so I have plenty of time to play with your pup! I'm available for boarding, home visits and walking on most days of the week. I have a large fenced in yard for my two pups - a Westie and a Terrier mix. I am diligent about a safe and secure environment and am very accommodating to any special needs. I also have an indoor camera to get updates when I have to run an errand.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
