About: I’ve had pets nearly my whole life and have been known to struggle to walk past an animal in need. This means rescuing an injured squirrel, a Cooper’s hawk, an opossum, and more, going the extra mile even when it was deeply inconvenient for me to do so. I also grew up attending zoo camp and then volunteering at a zoo from age 5 to 14, caring for a wide range of animals. I have worked with high energy pitties, a blind and anxious German shepherd, birds, cuddly kitties, fearful kitties, diabetic kitties, rabbits, and others. I have administered shots, IVs, medications, eye drops, and more. I am persistent and typically can win over even the shyest and most anxious fur baby. I have a genuine love for caring for pets and would be honored to care for yours! I am currently carefully thinking about my next full time role and working part time. My partner is an immigrant seeking employment during a time when that is extremely difficult due to the political situation. Any supplemental income is incredibly helpful for me as we navigate. I have a reliable vehicle, plenty of time to play with your pets, and love to love on them. I have a reliable car and I keep my word. I am communicative, honest, and truly love animals. About: I have cared for dogs starting in middle school, for a variety of neighbors, friends, and family members. I really enjoy spending my time with dogs, whether that be walking, playing, or just relaxing together. I currently am participating in a program with America's Vet Dogs, where future service dogs are trained by inmates at local prisons, and individuals/families sign up to take 1 dog every weekend for a year, to provide the experiences out in the world that these pups need to become amazing service dogs! This is my second year my mother and I have been a part of this program, and I have learned so much about dog training that I never knew before! I feel confident that this experience with training and taking care of a dog that isn't mine has made me a qualified pet sitter. I am currently in grad school, so I have free time during the day to walk or drop in on pets! I can be quite flexible with my availability and schedule because of the nature of my grad program. In your home, I will ensure that your pet is safe and cared for always. About: I’ve been around cats and dogs since I was barely tall enough to see over a food bowl, and that lifelong hands-on experience shaped me into someone who naturally understands animal behavior, routines, and training. I keep my routine simple and steady, and I’m usually around in the mornings and early afternoons before heading into work. I’m not someone who’s constantly on the go or juggling a million commitments—my life is more grounded in work, home, and taking care of my pets. That balance gives me a lot of consistency and time to focus on what matters day to day. I take safety and trust seriously when it comes to animals and their environment. In the past, I’ve crate-trained my dogs and learned how to create calm, structured routines that help them feel secure and well-behaved. I’m comfortable setting boundaries in a gentle but consistent way, depending on the needs of each pet. My home is also very pet-safe, especially because my current cat is extremely curious and determined to investigate everything. I’ve adapted my space to keep hazards out of reach and ensure it’s a safe, enriched environment where pets can explore without getting into trouble. I pay close attention to what they can access and how they interact with their surroundings, so safety is always built into the way I live with animals. 🐾
