About: I have several years of personal and professional pet care, but a lifetime of love for animals! I take humble pride in being the stranger that your critter who "never comes out to see anyone" is suddenly on my lap. I've cared for critters of all kinds, sizes and temperaments. Have any questions, shoot me a message! Looking forward to meeting you and your fuzzy or scaly loved ones. I am seeking to make this a 25-35 hrs/week gig with multiple clients. My availability is very flexible and open at this given time (June 2025). I commute between an apartment in downtown Hagerstown and St Mary's County (Wildewood) and care for my family's German shepherd (Freya) and teddy bear (Odin) about 1-2 days a month in W.V. Those dates are preplanned. I'm an early bird, up around 4:30-6 AM. I have a low maintenance mainecoon so she grazes all day and has plenty to do till I come home for my own kitty snuggles. I can only care for your pets on their turf or if you allow it, to take them to public parks. Both of my residences do not allow additional boarding. I personally wouldn't mind, but, rules are rule. I'm very adaptable and would love to keep any routine you have with your pets. From nicknames, babytalk, several walks a day, a bath etc... Write down your desired routine for Fido/Whiskers and I'll do my best to keep them entertained and comfortable until you're back home.

“Leah was a great cat-sitter! Very easy to work with, she made fast-friends with our cat, sent us reassuring updates each day, even a picture of his litter box (as only a pet owner would appreciate!) We felt very good being away while knowing that she was taking care of our little bundle of furry fun. I will definitely be using Leah again in the future! Thank you Leah!!!”

As far as grooming goes, I have experience clipping claws and brushing the dreaded double coats. I’m also able to provided any medications as needed! If you as owners are gone for an extend period of time it can be stressful for pets, I do my best to ease any potential stress they may have. I work as a Personal Trainer as well, so I availablity throughout the day based off my clients schedules. Especially during those early afternoon times when let’s haven’t been walked since morning. I would treat my clients pets the way my clients would treat them. Adhering to any special instructions and making sure the pets are healthy and happy. I own my own business and am able to check/take care of your pup during the day. They will never be left alone more than a few hours to help reduce boredom and stress I am building a fence here soon and am able to provide your dog with walks, fetches, and hikes. Kathleen W.
“Kat has always been a lover of animals. Our family fostered rescue dogs and she became a primary caretaker for these abused animals. She has a special cat who claimed her early and has bonded with her completely. When not busy with work or pet sitting she has volunteered at the animal shelters to spend time with animals awaiting their homes. She is responsible and on time and often does little extras such as sweeping or dishes.”

Jacob D.
“He sends me pictures of our fur babies when we were out of town for a wedding and gave us updates so there was no need to worry Even asked if he could stay longer with the dogs until they fell asleep so they didn’t worry or whine when he left ❤️ That’s true service!”

Katelyn O.
“While she hasn't watched my pets for me before I can say that she is beyond devoted to her own. All I ever hear about is how her pets are doing, how they're vet trip went, what she has to do next for their health, and what she wants to do next for they're wellbeing and enjoyment. If given the opportunity and materials she could and will care for any pet.”

Tiffany B.

“Tiffany was great with our 2 cats. She sent lots of pictures and gave me an update every day so we knew they were ok. I will definitely book Tiffany again.”

Taylor G.
“Taylor has been watching our high energy/anxiety Australian/German Shepherd dog mix for six years now! She does drop ins and has stayed in our home with our dog when we’re out of town. We trust her completely - she takes such good care of our fur baby that we call her his “Auntie Taylor.” Our baby is 70 lbs and he can be difficult to handle, but she reinforces his training, keeps him happy, and takes great care of our home too. Taylor has lots of experience with dogs and cats from raising her own and from training hunting dogs - if you need her to keep your dog sharp while you’re away, she’s great at it. Our fur baby LOVES Taylor and I know yours will too. I could not recommend her more!”

Carly R.

“Very friendly, punctual, and great with animals. Would hire Carly again.”

Ronda P.
“I have worked in rescue with a Ronda for 12 years. I could always count on her to do exactly what was expected as a volunteer and foster parent. She was responsible, caring, and loving. I knew when she agreed to take in a foster she would do whatever it took to do the best for the dog. She loved and cared for them as her own. I trusted her with countless dogs we took into the rescue and I would trust her with my own dogs. She is a gem and you would be lucky to have her as a part of your organization.”

Kylee L.

“Kylee is our go to, when we need to have someone watch our cat. She’s dependable and gives us a peace of mind that Shkoda is well taken care of.”
